Thank you for taking the time to post this. I like the way you have done this film as a casual walkabout view the district without any commentary to distract. Having walked the same streets myself it's almost like being there and wonderfully evocative.
Agreed. I'm also slightly drunk right now and this is only adding to the experience reliving the experience and sense of fun of nighttime streets in HK.
I think as a guy who has never been to Hong Kong that this video is excellent. When I say I've never been to Hong Kong that is true...but Hong Kong has touched ever part of the world, especially mine, that's what I believe.
Hi Gerry, I agree with you, the video is great. I have been 3 times in HK, coming from S. America, my visiti have been a real experience. All what you see, what you eat, what you hear, and vibrations go further every day, like the first time sleeping in Fuking Mansion, was a fantasitic Frankestein joke...later I thought: "in case of fire only the rats would be the heroes for one day "....
How nice,Hong Kong! I love Hong Kong in Asia the best. I miss soooo much! I think that Hong Kong is a most metropolis in Asia. I have been to there two times. When I went to there my first time, I have thought that I would like to study English and live in Hong Kong for one or two montns.
Interesting video, lots of merchants selling to make a living. Lots of gringos milling around, it's so easy to spot them. They stand out from the nationals.
Hi the stall at 5 mins 25 seconds is this a permanent stall . I mean does this lady still sits there and where is this stall exactly I mean on ladies market or some other As I will be travelling to Hong Kong in December and want to confirm will this stall be there ?
I haven't been to any HK market for many many years. Apart from food which is more straight forward, goods are often not priced, and the seller might give you a good look then overprice the item you are interested. When you walk away thinking that's a bit steep, the seller would call you back with a lower price. When you walk back the seller would say how about adding a bit more... very tedious. In fact, I avoid walking too close to any stall as the seller might start trying to talk you into buying. Hopefully it's not like that anymore. I notice in this video, food stalls have good business, yet other stalls do not seem to have buyers.
English is fine. Everyone who went to school in hong kong speaks english. please don't use mandarin in Hong Kong. It's like going to israel and addressing people in german.
Kelvin Shiang I found an ironic situation in Hong Kong. Aunties who were born and raised for very long time during British Colonial Rule can't speak English! She beg their customer who is younger locals who were born and raised in the time of Chinese Rule to speak English with me! What's wrong with British education system in their own colony? Why their own subjects can't speak their language? I love Hong Kong, anyway. Just confuse with that situation. PS. Aunties are food stallers and speak Cantonese. They seems actually hong kongers, not mainland Chinese from Guangdong.
The Mainland performers are extremely annoying and such a headache to the residents living in Mongkok. Yes they sang well and dance energetically, but they are super loud and their performance is quite vulgar . More and more of these "Big Mom" groups has used up the pedestrian area, this result in less and less young generations/foreigners perform art there. Besides, they always ignore safety and cleanness, people who clean up their left-behinds complaint a lot. They only concentrate on their "entertainment" but totally ignore other's consent, that's why we extremely hate Mainland people in HK. I will never support their support, they are too selfish.
unlike before it is filled with tourists and buyers in Hongkong street or night markets , but now, it is not anymore because China products are all over the world already . every country and its place are filled with China products...
Wow... !!! My best friend, It's always great. Your video is excellent quality. We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks

Hi, may I know where you mount your video cam? on should?, cannot be hand held right because the filming don't have hand shake?
I am using a gimball, a stabilizer, for the Go Pro.
This is the only wauy for stabilizing a camera while walking
Did you buy your gimall in HK? Can I find them there in HK? Nice shot
I just bought action cam and smooth Q. Hopefully video quality as good as yours.
I been searching street performers but seldom

The dance was hilarious! I loathe Mongkok streets, everywhere is noisy, spammed and dirty.
Sadly ...Sai yeung Choi Street will no longer be a pedestrian area !
Genius people are watching this video.

What if you don't speak any language except English? Can you live in Hong Kong without any problems?
I am wondering the same exact thing
FortuneSeek3rz yes u can!
FortuneSeek3rz learn Chinese language !
what? 20 dollars for a pretzel? why everything so expensive? I guess I wont be going to Asia anytime soon.
+Noel Abiang They are HONG KONG DOLLARS not US $.
1 US $ = 7.8 HK $
settime2588 thank you. I thought they use ¥ "yuan" symbol because Hong Kong is now officially part of China.
It is 20 HONG KONG DOLLARS not US$.
1 US$ = 7.8 HK$
***** just because a place because apart of a country doesn't mean theyre going to change everything.
One country two systems
At the beginning , the "performer" actually came from CHINA. We local HONG KONG really hate this noise and vulgar shows.
You know what, I thought that is sort of the feature of your "better" Hong Kong.
The performers were entertaining. You make Hong Kongers sound boring.
That’s ok. You can be offended. It won’t make a difference.
@@s._3560 Just ignore those political Hongers...I'm half Chinese /Honger and I agree. I love Hong Kong but I also love China.
That dance was pretty terrible. It had no structure to it. Just saying...
They really need to stop having childs over there...
unlike before it is filled with tourists and buyers in Hongkong street or night markets , but now, it is not anymore because China products are all over the world already . every country and its place are filled with China products...
Great place for earthquake
Hong Kong makes me claustophobic. so much ppl in such a small crowded messy area.
