    Good post. How about a can? Search & Rescue teams that enter an occupied fire building without a 2-1/2 gallon water can are at risk for getting caught up in a sudden fire growth situation. A 40 second hit with even a small amount of water can hold a fire in check long enough to find victims and call for a charged hose line. Water may be the only way they make it out alive.

    1st it was stated he observed from the EXTERIOR there wasn't a window then upon locating a vic the firefighter puts said vic out the window ( that doesn't exist).🤔

    if you have a hose how can you close the door? why searching without any fire media?

      Then you wouldn’t be doing a primary search if you had a line.

      A primary search shouldn’t be done with a hoseline. If you have a hoseline you are more than likely designated as fire attack and are searching for fire.
