Honestly this is the one female character that I truly saw myself in. 24 and basically grappling with life: studies, working, an identity and hoping to have the half happy before the whole. It felt real. There’s hope to find the whole happy now.

This book was amazing and honestly very well timed in my life with the whole questioning career thing and I related a lot to her time management issues. It was really refreshing to read a novel that made me laugh and smile, while also providing a refreshing reminder that stability doesn’t equal happiness and it’s important to prioritize passions as well as responsibilities. As an artist myself, I also really appreciated the insights into fellow creative minds. Amazing book, thank you for the free content, can’t wait to see what you do next!!

I loved this!!! I listened to one last Christmas a few days ago and from the conversations between Bobbi and her mom, I thought I could relate to Megs more so it was really fun to know her story ! And I was so excited when Bobbi and Ben were mentioned❤

I listened to that one too. I think Megs has a learning disorder and it's just taking her longer to find a niche that is profitable. I struggle with that same thing. The things I'm good at are fine, but don't pay the bills, like Megs working at the coffee shop (juice bar?)
Thank you for choosing a struggling character. Too many characters in the audiobooks that I listen to have successful careers. I don’t know anyone like that. These two are more relatable. The only one I didn’t care for was the mother. Too controlling for me. 🥰

@@CindyGunderson all I’ve been doing is eating dinner and drawing so far, I’m really into the book so far (chapter 4) also I really love the way you narrate! I’ve checked out others but they all sound so monotone, I’m glad you don’t and thank you for the suggestions :D I will try them out!
I listen during my commute (1hr), while I’m winding down for the night, while I’m cooking, cleaning, or doing the dishes. 😊 I agree, at first I didn’t know what to do with my hands either.

Definitely but I love that it makes her a realistic and complicated character! Some moms are a lot like that and we also don’t necessarily know all her motivations and what has brought her to be who she is today. 💕 all that being said she needs to back off her grown daughter lol 😅
YES!! 100%!! I have two kids with ADHD and I wanted these characters to be neurodivergent, but there are SO many adults who walk around undiagnosed always thinking they're broken!! I wanted to bring that to the forefront!
On the subject of untreated ADHD. I had a doctor who told me about a patient who, before coming to see him, would self medicate with two pots of coffee before she went to work. That’s like five ventis.
I'm at minute 50 and wondered the exact same thing and scrolled through the comments to see if anyone else said something about ADHD. Now I'm even more excited to listen to the whole story!!
