Kripp is a master practitioner of the art of "Marvel-Fu". Notice the zen like trance he enters as he talks about comic superhero movies and beats the living crud out of anyone close to him. It's taken decades to achieve this level of dominance and lack-of-focus, but Kripp has finally done it!

It's super fascinating, isn't it? It's almost inspirational, how good he gets when he's talking about superheroes and shit like that.

I just tuned in last night to your stream and watched this run. I can honestly say I’ve learned a lot from how you play/when to trade minions. It’s fun to watch someone who is having so much fun streaming that he destroys 12 people in arena while still paying that much attention to his twitch chat. Keep up the good work Kripp!!!

Kripp I found the most interesting part of this video to be your rant on Blizzard, Overwatch, and the overall esports strategy. As someone who has been playing the game and following the esport, I’m inclined to agree with all of your points. “Ambitious” pretty much sums up the whole thing.

That's my first full-lenght video I comment, and I'm willing, to continue counting TopDecks in all those great games:
    Game 1: 3:3
    Game 2: 1:1
    Game 3: 7:8
Game 4: 2:4, yes, TopDeck Kingsbane at turn 6, was quite lucky indeed.
    Game 5: 3:2
    Game 6: 7:9
    Game 7: 2:4
    Game 8: 5:6
    Game 9: 3:4
Game 10: 8:11, including TopTeck Fungalmancer into exact leathal!!! (1:00:50) That's exactly what I'm doing this for! That's why I have an icon of this hellish face, of the most TopDeck-unfair kobold out there!
    Game 11: 3:1
    Game 12: 8:8

    (2.) 5 4/6 Kripp Inspector:
*Battlecry:* If you control a *Secret* destroy it and summon a copy of this minion.
    ***
(1.) Triggering Secrets with SALT since 2018!
You can use it for some value or to screw with opponent's Secrets.
Of course targets are chosen randomly.
    (2.) I'm messing with Secrets a little.
This card may push Secret Paladin because it's 2 4/6s for 6 mana with handbuff synergy.
In other classes it looks rather weak.

      @@sageq45
All Secrets trigger without their requirement.
      - Ice Block gives a Hero immunity for one turn,
      - Avenge gives a random minion +3/+2,
      - Duplicate and Getaway Kodo target a random friendly minion.
      - Rat Trap summons a Rat etc.
If a Secret requires a specific card type (Spellbender/Mana Bind/Counterspell, or Snipe/Explosive Runes) it just triggers without effect.
      It's destroyed. Dead

i think it would be cool for secrets for classes other than the main 4 that have them to be printed. (nothing like explosive runes though, screw that secret)
rest in peace: 1 mana priest secret: if the enemy summons a deathrattle minion, silence it
waterlogged: 3 mana shaman secret: if your opponent plays a spell, summon 4 1/1 murlocs.
forest's shield: 5 mana druid secret: if your hero is attacked with a minion that has 5 or more attack: summon an ironbark protector take the attack instead.

I gotta agree with Kripp. Overwatch esports is semi-successful, but that's because they put so much into it. Put enough time and money into anything and it'll work.
HoTS probably could've been massively successful if they focused it instead of OW. I mean, they wouldn't need a new group of people to watch it. Blizzard fans could enjoy seeing heroes from their favorite games

    • @bakacs1n
      @bakacs1n 5 років тому +1

Hots could never be that successful, because it was a deformity of a game. A malformed child of dota and lol. It really tries to be a different new game, but in the process loses the essence of a quality moba. It's very good for casuals thou and don't get me wrong, I love the game. It's just a sad story as a whole.
That game should have been called "Dota 2", but somebody at blizz screwd it enormously ... probably the biggest screw in gaming history ever and the real doom start for blizz.

    • @henryettoit897
      @henryettoit897 5 років тому

Kripp is off about HOTS. HOTS is not successful because most MOBA players by default are very competitive compared to other genres. The communist carebear team environment of HOTS combined with super casual mechanics and lack of meaningful player agency just makes it unappealing to such gamers. People want to be the hardcore carry who pwns the other team or the selfless support landing huge spells to affect teamfights. You cant be a star player and pull off skillful, sick clutch plays in HOTS, it just doesnt really exist. The depth isnt there and if you are going to sink 1000+++ hours into a MOBA you'd want that. When HOTS came out LoL and DOTA2 already had carved out the majority of the market. There was no reason for anyone invested in those games to switch over.
