    Keep up the awesome videos, and don't worry about jumping around in them! I just love seeing someone with a passion, saving these old cars and trucks!

    Howdy Garth, we just started school back here as well , luckily for us our youngins are done with school but i still get stuck behind the busses in town...i really appreciate you for staying true to your roots ..making ends meet on a budget is how most of us normal people do it .. or as Johnny Cash sang about 1 piece at a time until you get all the parts together..alot of youtubers are making money hand over fist and they have a line of credit with most parts houses so they aren't working on old junk on a budget...i grew up in rural midwest and lived from pay check to pay check so getting car parts was a slow process and only after all the other bills were paid ...keep doing what you do and don't ever apologize for being behind on a project b/c 99% of us live our lives being behind schedule ..glad to see Bella out on the road again just crusin the block

    The take-off intake and exhaust manifolds are actually kinda desirable. Large port rams horns were a hot junkyard item back in the day.

    That is cool you can run headers on street truck. In California that would have been a no no. Oh what a beautiful sound.

  • @donaldwelch4755
    @donaldwelch4755 Рік тому +3

    Not telling you what to do but I highly highly recommend stage 8 locking fasteners for the headers

    • @richardbates2367
      @richardbates2367 11 місяців тому

      And either copper header gaskets or decent quality paper coated ones, being a previous owner of three different sets of sbc Percy's aluminum header gaskets for both of the round ones and one set of the square gaskets they eventually blew out too,so I don't know if I would recommend them or not, but I have used several sets of the Mr gasket header bolts, the black oxide ones, not the Allen head ones though I used them too, but I would suggest either the Allen head bolts, or the stage 8 locking header bolts both are more pricey than the plain steel black oxide 12 point and hex 6pt header bolts though.

    Raw video content is good not this scripted stuff and mostly fake you keep doing what your doing and you will fine every UA-cam channel has its own personality and that’s fine. Just keep doing what you’re doing.

    Oh and I am sorry to add more but I have been there dealing with the bolts breaking on the block and heads, but I can do you one better on 2 different trucks both daily driver vehicles one was originally from Texas in the mid 80's, original paperwork said it was sold in reading Pennsylvania though?! Anyways it was a emerald green and frost gloss white center stripe two tone paint scheme 78 Chevy c20 custom deluxe long bed and had a green roof not a white one, and the fender mount stiffener spring radio antenna it didn't have the one in the windshield, the other truck was a 86 chevy k20 midnight blue and frost gloss white two tone paint scheme blue roof, and I built a 75 Chevy k20 Silverado 350 sbc 4 bolt main motor for it, but on both vehicles I ended up having to change the water pump bad gaskets on the 78,3 of the 4 bolts broke off in the block and on the 86 chevy k20 75 Chevy 350 both alternator bolts broke off and two of the water pump bolts,so I learned how to drill and tap the block and the cylinder heads just out of highschool was much older than that when I had to deal with the 86 chevy k20 though but that can turn in a major expensive disaster really quick..

    So you don't have to use gasket seal on the top part of the gasket that touches the intake? I'm asking because I've never done an intake but I'm about to do one on my 86 Z28 305 TPI motor. I'm going back to a carburetor.

    Two ideas for helping with seeing when you are doing brakes i have harbor freight cheap quantum led two AAA batteries flashlight for like 9 bucks and now they have the Braun version supposed to be a much better flashlight than what I have but $14 pocket size mini maglite style flashlight with the pocket clip.. and the magnetic parts trays they have or something similar from like advanced auto parts stores would come in handy when you are disassembling the motor?!, and the other idea was the next brand aluminum folding flashlight similar to the braun brand one harbor freight sells but their flashlight has one cob led panel the next brand one from Amazon has double sided cob led light panels,, and it is like 850 lumens i think I got one for $44 and free shipping

    If I knew how to shoot decent UA-cam videos on working on my project cars and trucks and had decent cameras and recording equipment to do so I would probably still just make videos as you do when you have the time and pick up where you left off last, but I don't know how to, and I am not sure i could do as good as some of you smaller channels and as for the higher ect channels yeah nope...so that's why I just work on my own stuff and watch all of y'all but oh well..

    A scorpion underneath that valve cover.. Was that a joke, or for real? Living in Arizona and working on cars...Gawd, I hate scorpions...they're everywhere..

    So here is a couple of honest comments, from someone who doesnt comment.
    1. I watched your first viedo, where you said 1 goal, was to teach and maybe inspire people to get into mechanics, which no one teaches. I am in Mexico and my nephew is in Mississippi. We both watch and I have no idea anything about cars and I am almost 60 and he is 22. We both lear a lot.
    2. Please stop saying on every video, that you didn't tape something because its boring. I am your target audience, not the expert mechanics who cretique everything you do. Nothing is boring or redundant. They should make channels instead of spending time critiquing you. You have two people who, for sure, learn.
    Just know we are out here and appreciate the videos, minus the son-in-law comments hahahah. Have a great day!
