- Check out my new favorite reverb: the Mercury 7 from Meris. I made a video of me trying it for the first time, and it definitely competes with the Strymon Big Sky and the H9 reverb that I use a lot. Enjoy, and expect more videos of the Mercury7 with the Novation Peak, Prophet Rev 2, and the D-05 from Roland!
Nice, the Sub Phatty may be Moog’s most underrated synth? I understand that the Sub Phatty and the Sub 37 are based on the same sound engine, but the Sub Phatty just sounds cleaner and more like the Moog Prodigy I had back in the 80’s. My imagination? In any case this Meris Mercury 7 Reverb really makes me think as far as mono synths go you couldn’t go wrong with it with the Sub Phatty, could be all I would need. Thanks for posting!
yeah totally! I love the Sub phatty, it's my first moog and I paid just above $600 for it new so I couldn't say no.
I wanted to get the subsequent 37 last year but needed a stage piano instead so I got the RD2000, but really needed a bass synth and this doesn't disappoint

That is a nice big sound.
I nearly went with the Sub Phatty as my first synth, but ultimately did not based on its lack of features in comparison with others I was considering at the time. One thing is for certain - its tonal beauty and sonic character are not to be trifled with. Coupled with this interstellar box of wonder by Meris, you have offered a nearly unrivaled combination. Thank you kindly for sharing.
I went completely off the deep end. Haha. Minilogue XD, Moog Grandmother, two DFAMs, Subharmonicon, a 60hp Moog brick of Mutable Instruments modules, a Lyra-8, and a Digitakt. I’ll throw a second lol on this. I’m lovin’ it!

Is the Sub Phatty plugged straight into the Mercury 7? And then the output to the audio interface?

Question though, why are your patch bank buttons blinking? Just the LEDs slowly giving up?
Yeah! the mercury 7 i the first I would get! I'm going to get the polymoon sometime soon. Also the led light doesn't blink when I look at it, only in the camera for some reason. The Sub phatty was brand new so hopefully it is fine haha
Oh it's probably just a quirk of the camera then, just thought it was maybe a Hidden Function I hadn't tried yet haha. I don't have any pedals yet, but there's too many good options for my wallet!
