Before partition, in Punjab and Rajasthan, Urdu was taught ver well, even after partition that trend continued for many years, my father can read and write very well in Urdu but I can only understand so I am illiterate in Urdu:-(

He is right. All pakistanis want to put pakistani with every thing. He is correct when said that all culture, languages 9including Urdu are originated in our joint India. For instance, Abida parveen, nusrat fahat Ali khan, Farida khanam, Noor Jahan, mehdi Hassan, Rahat fahat Ali khan, Ghulam Ali Khan, Mahnaz begum, mussrat Nasir and Rashma.
