This band played in my town a million times back in their day, and I never once saw them. I don't know why--I went to shows all the time. I regret the heck out of it. Nowadays I can't get enough of them. This vid is a recent discovery and I think it's one of their better ones. They have the absolute perfect attitude for a band.
Yeah, I was going to comment on how useless the camera person was. They hadn't a clue what they were looking at. Most of the time, they were filming empty space. What a waste! If you've got a job to do, then do some damn research before lumbering in to do it. Especially with music. The videographer here ruined this live performance with their own lameness.
So frustrating. Some of the commenters tried saying the camera "man" was a probably a woman, and that's why. Unlikely. If a woman was actually doing camera those days in particular, they'd be at the top of their game, doing the best they could. And you don't have to be a heterosexual anything to appreciate Ivy and more importantly, her guitar playing.
Most bands have their ups and downs, from flash in the pan to forgotten is the trend I've seen, over all. The cramps were always spot on, intense, all out, if anything they steadily got better, but they were always good...never b another like them. Part of R&R died with Lux, RIP buddy!
Someone explain to me wtf's up with the camera guy! The most smoking hot, redhead in boots and hot pants is tearing a Gretsch to pieces with so much cool it burns, and all I'm seeing is the skinny arse and mop of the bassist. Pissed me off, though I could be obsessed with Poison Ivy I guess. The Cramps always rocked, Lux Forever.
Too many lamo comments (new to the party? that's okay, but mb...), anyway: Yes, there should have been more of Ivy and/or the whole band. Sounds & looks like Lux has a sore throat but he's high &/or drunk enough to barrel through. Slim Chance one of my least fave ever Crampz. Had to take a break after Cramps-tober but back. And here to say that this still woke me the F up. Partly 'cause there's too little live footage of Garbageman, one of the best rawk n roll songs of all time. R.I.P. everybody but Ivy & Miriam.
+Michael Martinez kick ass. among other things, i remember Lux showing the crowd his penis, lol, and the crowd going wild at the end, Surfin' Bird. good times...
I'd say some lame-assed guy who was paid to do a job and is as much of a loser in his real life as he is in his job. I'm female who isn't into girls, but even I think she's freaking hot. Most women aren't afraid to acknowledge or appreciate the sexuality of other women. Not only that, but from a musical standpoint, how would anyone who's into music, NOT want to catch what Ivy does when she plays!
Let’s be honest: If you’re a beginner guitarist, can’t sing, barely competent at drums, but have balls, you play punk rock. If your audience is drunk or stoned, they will enjoy it. If they’re skilled and familiar with classic rock, it’s torture to have to endure this.
No. Some lazy assed guy who was paid to do a "job". No woman who ran a camera would have ignored Ivy, no matter what their sexual inclinations were. No one who's really into music would do that.
Most acts just get lame as they get older, just going through the motions, but you can tell lux loves it still and puts his heart into it. RIP
Their sound.............A drag race past a graveyard at midnight!
Anyone in are lifetime to see the Cramps , is fucking special.
Saw them live on back to back nights, mind blowing
Ivy has the hottest moves and the camera mans focused on the bass player. FML 😞
Right! I was mentally redirecting the camera to her killer little body and guitar the whole time.
Ivy ivy ivy ALL the way , love her x🎸
Did I miss something? Bass player….
All Cramps video footage is intentionally bad and edited. Ivy shredding a guitar is too much. There is no full body video that matches good audio.
We not all a letch
The sheer energy Lux sustained for over three decades is fucking astounding. God bless you, you magnificent beast.

Saw them live on back to back nights, unbelievable experience
This sounds so raw it`s pure perfection
I really fucking miss this band.
amen
One of the greatest - natural bands - I make my fiancee name the band from Songs the Lord Taught Us - as that's the purest band they had
One of my favorite Cramps' songs.
A great band I miss seeing, live.
100% ROCK AND ROLL MAGIC!!!!! :) Rest in PEACE Lux!
One of the best bands ever to see live. Back in '04 I was lucky enough to be on the stage just a few feet from Lux while they performed. R.I.P. Lux
Saw them live on back to back nights, amazing .
I love this band, I love this band, I love this band. Lux left behind a fabulous legacy. We're lucky to have these live videos.
Ivy poison et sa gretsh !!! Amblematique!!! C'était aussi la guitare préférée de John lennon !!!
i sure wish the camera man would have shown Ivy when she was playing her awesome guitar solo.
Wish they isolated on her the whole time
That IS a helluva solo. She gets more out of her guitar than a hundred shredders.

@@karenleighbee 110% agreement. nearly the whole time I was yelling 'show Lux & Ivy wtf!'

Their music is too fucking good to exist
Ivy's hip wiggle at 1:16😍🤩
Saw them in 1989 in Scottsdale AZ and I thought they couldn’t possibly sustain that energy but damn if they didn’t for at least another 8 years.
Thats what makes The Camps so good R.I.P LUX
I'm not going to bitch about the camera person, only say thanks for posting, and I WAS THERE Hell yeah!!!

one of the best songs
where the fuck is Ivy? the camera man blew it, big time!
Maybe the camera"man" was gay or a woman and didn't think ivy was attractive? Who knows?
The best band to see live, ever!
Saw them on back to back nights, amazing
Man that is beautiful noise.

Any body got an idea how the bassist is getting that tone? Shit is crazy
4 people don't understand
A truly amazing group of passion on the stage. Probably a the group of that generation imo.
Do you really understand what he’s saying?
Lol, not important
I just died!
Some of the serious baces I never covere'd.

Itz the fuzz
Rythem is HELL
More Poison Ivy damnit!

Garbageman was better with Bryan G loved the way he played.

I guess Skinny must have taken lessons from Brian Gregory.
Who else saw Lux hit his head off that guitar? R.I.P LUX
+xBastardx Good Call!
