I use all of these that you mentioned and enjoy them all. But I tried them independently first to ensure I didn’t have any bad interactions. I will say that pumpkin seed oil is a superior oil, in my opinion. I absolutely love it! Not superior to castor oil…castor oil is in a category all on its own, literally!

Personally I liked how u talked about pH which most people don't for diys...I use all dis growth aids as teas and hot oil treatments making sure I add aloevera juice, rosewater or ACV to balance the pH of the tea and mostly use it for my scalpbcos it can be drying for the hair, don't know if it has contributed to my hair growing longer faster but definitely hair thickness and less shedding which is still part of hair growth😊

You definitely hit the nail on the head length retention as our hair grows all the time. I tried MSM and caffeine, I dislike them, they gave me massive headaches. I don't really do diys a bit too much hassle for me and you're right about checking the ph level. Definitely investing in a good shampoo, deep conditioner, leave in and oil is a must.

I laughed out loud at your comment about “terminal growth at chin length”. There are always those comments about “genetics” under length retention tips and I find them so annoying. If you’re too lazy to even TRY to grow your hair, just say so and go 🤣

I love diys, been using an oil mix with olive oil as carrier oil, a spoon of coffee, spoon of amla powder and a bit of rosary herbs. I only use it as a scalp oil or hot oil treatment. I dont know if its working yet but no complaints. I only use teas on wash day (once a month), and my weekly spritz is water, alovera juice and glycerin mix. My next diy attempt is a deep conditioner😊 PH strips dont exist where I live, partly the reason I now only use teas on wash day vs weekly

I think we are putting too much attention on things that aren't really the thing. For what i know anything you can eat is good for your hair because your hair grow from nutrients found in food and nothing more. DIY are just like food there are some we are allergic with and some good for us, you just need to stidy your hair and choose your balanced recipe just like you choose food and use eat and there is nothing harmful in food unless you are allergic or incompatible with it do not stress out to use food on hair its thats simple. So i will say if you can't eat it just put it in your hair directly it will surely work!
Side note; pumpkn seed oil is the best i mix that with castor oil and its working amazingly

A lot of the oils are to be mixed with other oils to work effectively. I used carrot oil in my hair and the leave-in conditioner from Blue Magic and they caused my hair to be thin with breakage although the oil I can't remember the brand said soft and manageable and Blue Magic said anti-breakage. I completed the bottle and vial and didn't buy them again. I realized after buying an aromatherapy book that an raw oil needs a carrier oil to not be so strong and damage your skin so I applied that knowledge to hair care and never used pure oils again.

Essential oils for beginners should be only 1 drop of each essential oil.
Essential oils n herbs has a job to do on the hair n scalp. To many drops will break your hair or even cause bald spots. Study aromatherapy. Aromatherapy will tell you what each essential oil purpose is and sometimes how many drops to add in your products or diy.
Fresh rosemary or dry rosemary will be saver then essential oils. Essential oils are potent!!!!!
Until you learn what the active ingredients n action to the scalp n hair. 💚💚💚
Also fr beginners 1-3 essential oils n 1 drop of each.

I have studied botany n aromatherapy for many years. Also I have done many many many experiments on my hair. So I am coming from a knowing, studying n experiments n out comes. So for beginners be very careful.
I do appreciate your knowledge n platform 💚

That's what I was taught too. I was also taught to add my essential oils when you are about to use it and mix enough for immediate use only. Í was taught 1-3 oils max and working on 1 drop eo per TSP of carrier. And only add eo to your carrier when you are ready to use it and only mix enough for immediate use. I haven't studied extensively but I am fairly well read on aromatherapy

      @valeriesignaturesalon 11 місяців тому

@@CurlyCrowieI am happy to hear your knowledge and safety pre-caution towards essential oils they are very powerful
we have no idea how powerful and the potency of essential oils. I have experienced hair breakage with 5 drops of lavender in a tablespoon of water. Hair disappeared in the twinkling of an eye. I suggest for beginners to use lavender buds, fresh rosemary instead of of oils. Also if using an oil know the pH level n the purpose of the oil n it’s chemical active ingredients. Use only I drop of the essential oil. Allow your hair/scalp to get use to the essential oil or see if you my be allergic to that particular essential oil. It’s many factors.Hair n scalp is 5pH level
Also if purchasing a product from a handmade product make sure a chemist was involved in making of the products.

Be cautious with “scientific” studies and make sure that their credentials are legit and where they are pulling their data sources and who they are testing their data on. Store bought or premade does not qualify a product to be superior or safe. I can pull popular natural hair brands and test their pH and they are too alkaline for our hair.
