A great resource for Irish traditional musicians and singers. However, I get suspicious when I hear references to, "new art" in the context of what is Irish and traditional, and hope that the speakers don't mean that what we've been playing all along is somehow deficient and needs to be re-invented.
Thanks Michael. The artists involved are: Louise Mulcahy, Martin Hayes, Mary Bergin, Tony Linnane, Edwina Guckian, Brían Mac Gloinn, Radie Peat and Cormac Begley, Cailtín Nic Gabhann, Daoirí Farrell, Steve Cooney, Aoife Ní Bhriain, Saileog Ní Cheannabháin, Aoife Granville, Conor Connolly, Mairéad and Deirdre Hurley, Jesse Smith, Lisa O’Neill and Laoise Kelly. Please feel free to check out the series here now that it is up-and-running! I hope you enjoy the content: www.itma.ie/drawingfromthewell
This is potentially a great resourse although I'm not sure what is implied by 'new art' and 'new works of art'. I hope it means new compositions of the music as we have always known it, and not some spurious new-age fusion of jungle music and bongo drums which appear to be all the rage nowadays in the new Ireland of anything goes, so long as it's not Irish and Gaelic.

Louise is a complete and perfect musical genius.
I love the way Louise Mulcahy plays, and every dress she wears is stunningly beautiful. I assume she make them herself.
