Spending time in nature is excellent for raising energy. And there are ways to do it that are suited for people of many different levels of physical ability. Some people might get a lot out of a day-long hike in the woods, and others might get just as much from sitting still under a tree they like and observing the world around them. Combine nature with the right music, and you may even get better results than either one individually.
I usually drum or clap as well as all those other things you've mentioned. Clapping is a pretty save way to do something without feeling awkward and it goes well with chanting or dancing. And btw, I love your brains, that sounds weird but I mean: I love the way you think. You're really inspirational, and I like the fact that you always say things I haven't heard yet. Love your video's!
What did Gerald say to his High Priestess? "Hit me baby, one more time." Two candles, a scourge and a little Brit playing in the back is all the ritual setup a person needs for a cone of power. I find listening to the violin powerfully transcendent for me. Even watching a violinist perform is like gazing upon something ephemeral that other instruments do not reach. So for people like me, who lack musical skill and only enough coordination to walk without tripping, might I suggest "air instrument" of some sort to raise energy. I can't play an instrument, and I've never been comfortable free-lancing movement around a circle to raise a cone. I just end up flapping about like a killdeer leading a predator away from her nest. I put on music I enjoy and I act out playing an instrument, like a person would doing "air guitar". I try, oh I try, to coordinate my movements as best I can with the music which makes me so much more aware of the music's own movements. If you think the music is connected to your working somehow, then you might find that a good way to charge a cone with activity and not feel completely ridiculous. Unless playing an imaginary instrument is too ridiculous for words.

Thanks for these thoughts! This is something I struggle with a lot. I have had great results with spontaneous singing - just letting music pour out of me as I feel is right. This is more of a devotional practice for me though, and I also imagine you would have to have some level of musicality to be able to do this fluidly. Music is central, too, and I have tried dance but I definitely can have that self-consciousness problem. Britney Spears in ritual - I love it. I am totally going to try it ;)
Love that cat and the way you interact with him. It brings me joy. Anyway, exercise (usually to music) works the same as dance for me. It gets the body moving and does make me feel self-conscious. Sometimes dance moves sneak in to the mix.
I personally drink tea (actual tea) to do this. But there's a limit as well--once I reach the stage when I can't focus anymore due to paranoia (which is an unfortunate side-effect), then I stop. I prefer to prepare the tea as akin to a tea ceremony to prevent this fallout. I also use virtual tools (which are just imagined physical ritual tools) for this, though that depends on when abouts I am on the menstrual cycle: if it's close to menstruation, I can't do it--it becomes too draining on me.
That sounds like a wonderful ritual... I love tea too! I also get drained around menstruation but I’ve found that adding a spoonful of blackstrap molasses to my tea helps a lot with energy.... it has a lot of iron in it
I personally find it is easier to go into trance first (though the boundaries between trance and raising power is rarely that distinct). Through hissing, through breath work, through ethnogens and mind altering substances (like witch ointments and such), and callings and prayer to my familiars and spirit guides and the old Witch Father, Mother, and Blessed Spirits. Also I find that through Trad Craft techniques of treading the mill right before when you are focused on intent, before implementing the spell, to plant those sparks in your space and compass or circle (though I haven't used treading the mill in dome energy circle things because it feels counter intuitive to the stable nature of a barrier but that's just me). Then when I am ready to push power forth through a spell set up, and chant and intone more, and gather and further inflame the already inlaid sparks of intent of power within and around me and send that through the spell.
Yuck poor kitty was raising a little more than energy..ew Music has always worked for me. I can pick something that goes with the working or play something of my own. Drums, rattles, bells, singing bowl etc.
Dark Folk..Celtic and Norse music is my jam..... dance is awesome too... no inhibitions (wine helps) and let your freak flag flyyyyyyyyy..WOOOHOOOO!
the funny cat makes me happy here while watching your video.

I’ll hum to Enya Boadicea, May it be, or her other Aniron song to help ground and raise energy.
Is that a Supernatural T-shirt? 😱💖💖
Would love to hear you sing some witchy tunes...🎤

I have a question - when you set something on fire, do you play “Oops! …I did it again”?
Lol, I would say a lil wine and a lil smoke and presto, I'm there...BB
I raise energy with dancing or yoga.
