This may be the best driving video that I have seen at HPR. I like how the passenger seat flops forward. You can tell where your brake points occur. I really like how you are very patient in the corners. Not over-slowing and not getting back on throttle until apex or even later sometimes. Carrying good speed through the corners and allowing the car to turn in. All of the above are weakness of my driving. My current PB at HPR is 1:54.3. I think for me to make decent progress, I have to pick up some of your good habits. I am studying your video, and hope to replicate some things. Thanks for posting!
Thanks, the car was definitely capable of faster lap times, but unfortunately that's all I could do with it. Check out this video of Chris Mayfield driving HPR recently (Oct 2020) to see how he does it... he's at a much higher level than me: ua-cam.com/video/3NFOW-NAyHc/v-deo.html
Two years and no comments? And why wasn't this video listed for me to watch previously? Anyway ... I went to HPR in May last year with my 07 Base C6 on Michelin AS ZP tires, which are a terrible compromise for the track. This year the car is already on Cooper RS3-S tires ... and I've done some engine mods. Debating on whether I should go again. I have an extra set of wheels. A set of Hoosier A7's or R7's would run about $1,600 plus shipping these days. A set of Toyo R888's would only be about $1,200, and these are what my mentor suggests. Decisions, decisions ...
