Though it should be the same i see fx3 or a7s3 footage with same aperture lenses( like on APSC), on full frame noticably better quality. It look like APSC with brighter lenses just would brighter up the footage, while on full frame , it looks like it just showing really how bright footage it actually captures. I don't know if you can understand it, just what I noticed. Did you noticed the same? If so why is this is a something that's real?

Don't fill bad Faruk, two of my 4 kids have new babies so I get that "Keep it down" all the time! Between you and Mr. Purple I found out all I needed to know. I have several Super 35 E mount Cine Lens so this camera is a no-brainer for me. Now I have all the cameras I need for the rest of my professional career (Hey I'm old, 63). (FX3, A74 soon FX30)
I love my FX30! All I could afford and is great! I have a Rode micro mic but I like the ECM-B10.did you get any noise coming from the shock mount on the mic? some reviewers complain about noise when walking around with the mic mounted on the camera. But I don't hear an issue here. I guess you don't walk around with the camera on your hands. I don't either but I would use the FX30 on a monopod or a Ronin S and if I get the sony mic then it would be on the camera...I don't want vibrations etc to be transferred to the shock mount and then to the mic...thanks so much

I own an A7iii and Sigma 35 1.4 used on MC11 . I was keen on doing video in the camera by buying some lenses for the full frame , however, the autofocus sound from the lens and the lack of 4k 60p is thinking me to upgrade. Would it be a wise choice to go for FX30 considering its price point ? Also i may be using 20 to 25% of what the camera is capable of.
I’m upgrading from an A73 so I can record continuously and I don’t shoot photos for my work. I shoot panels and interviews. Is the Fx30 a better choice than the A74 or A7R4? I also have a A6600 as a b cam.

I continue to have issues with mix lighting and color science with Sony. What is that artefact in 1.33 to 1.46 on the bottom left and right corner. Looks more like a flicker, caused by low contrast. What I doubt is, do you see that or is it caused by the UA-cam compression?
I really love Sony I already waiting to ordered it specially with this little beast I know maybe is too much to ask for the price but my only concern about is the lack of shutter angle since is a camera dedicated to video it will be nice to add that ability to change frame rate without be worry about the motion… No hate just an observation but I hope they can add this in a future update.

Great video. Everyone seems to be wowing over this camera. I have the a6600 which I am really enjoying but should I consider selling for this? I’m still fairly new to using cameras but this new cine camera looks incredible! Thanks anyway for the video and it was nice to see someone really enjoying their shoot!
If you are primarly a video shooter then yes. Better frame rates and codecs and bitrate will make this worth it. However if you're into photography too, then no. This camera doesn't even have a mechanical shutter and can't take long bursts of photos. It's not a photography camera.
I own an a6600 as well, but would keep it anyway if I could afford to buy an FX30. At least with the FX30, I'd be able to use my existing 18-135mm E-mount lens and not have to buy many more lenses. Maybe a good 24mm prime with a large f-stop, like 1.4.
The only Sony camera build I like is the a6xxx rangefinder series. Small body that's good for travelling. My system is Nikon but my get to go camera is Sony a6600 fitted with Carl Zeiss 28mm 1.8 and Sigma 16mm 1.4 primes. The Sony FX30 is new and may have better tech but I'm waiting for Sony's a6600 upgrade model if ever there'll be one coming.
Would have been neat with more Fn buttons on the body.. -Like A-B rack focus button. -White balance wheel + ISO wheel. better than diving into the video and also instant control. -Quick switch for focusmode center/Area focus. But the Quick charge, full HDMI port and webcam are amazing additions. This has been a big frustration before. All my cameras have cages because the mikro HDMI kept breaking and now I use Smallrig HDMI adapters on all of them.
amazing..... but I have a question .... with the 11mm and crop sensor camera is goin to be a 1.5 or 1.6 depend of the brand crop rate.... that mean the 11mm in this camera is at least a 16.6mm, the 120 fps crop mean this 11mm is goin to look like a 26.4mm??? or im crazy and talking stupid stuff...

I fink fx30 and 10-20g need to be compared to a7c and 20mm lens, lets say you use a cine tone settings on a7c and see how video compare? I now a7c dont have 4k 60,but in 4k 24 and 30fps they can compete,i bet from a7c video should look better because of full frame

Wow, for me this video was one of the best on during year, well done mister! But this camera is very very impressive, I'm 98% video maker but find some good things about photoshooting last couple months and A7 IV was something what decided already buy. But now, do i wanna loose these great video features for the hybrid-camera or do i buy this.
I already found a "but" for people living in Sony's motherland. It's only in Japanese here with no option to change. I'm sure I can manage but I just prefer not having to translate when a message pops up or making a selection in the camera.
There are international versions for Sony cameras available for purchase in Japan, with multilingual menus and stuff, slightly more expensive than the domestic versions though, as the reason why they limit the language on their domestic versions are to stop people from exporting them and sell them else where
