The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Malmö, Sweden. Semifinals and finals will be held May 7th, 9th and 11th in Malmö Arena.

Marina actually said that firstly, she was opposed to showing this clip cause is the slowest part of the song and as a first impression it makes the staging seems more static that it really is and secondly, that EBU always uploads the third take even though in her case it was the weakest one

Idk why i hadnt thought of it for Slovenia but you're so right, it's missing fog and dry ice and mysterious. I dont mind the brightness tbh, still feels siren-esque but the lack of fog makes it bare. Praying for her to qualifyyyy

I don't think Belgium is qualifying. The performance looks empty and the song just takes too much time until the big moment, and even then his vocals don't sound that good. On the other hand even if Dons' performance doesn't offer anything groundbreaking I still think Latvia is giving that moment of introspection that people might miss in Belgium's performance, the song is more straightforward and the crowd singing hollow could really make Dons stand out, especially since there are so many upbeat songs in SF2. I think both Austria and Georgia are in. Malta has great staging, but the song is just not there, just like last year. I would rather have San Marino in the final than Estonia, but I'm still putting Estonia in and San Marino out, but hoping SM makes it instead of Estonia. Denmark might replace Belgium instead of Latvia, but I don't think the running order is doing them a favor. It would have been better for them if they just opened the SF2. My prediction after rehearsals: *Greece* , *Norway* , *Switzerland* , *Netherlands* , *Armenia* , *Georgia* , *Israel* , *Austria* , *Latvia* and *Estonia* .

Poland is qualifying. Regardless the vocal, there is some storytelling on the stage and performance is interesting to viewers, I think Luna is in now over Silia. With this weak staging from Cyprus I definitely don't see them making it, Luxembourg is gonna grab all the votes from Cyprus. Ireland and Portugal are in. Serbia is a bit shaky, but they're probably qualifying. My heart says Slovenia is qualifying, but my brain says it's not and that Australia is gonna make it instead because of performing late, having the cultural moment in the performance and having unifying message accompanied by interesting visuals. My final qualifiers prediction: *Serbia* , *Lithuania* , *Ukraine* , *Poland* , *Croatia* , *Finland* , *Ireland* , *Luxembourg* , *Portugal* and *Australia* . We have exactly same thoughts on SF1 qualifiers hahah!
If we compare Poland’s song to last year: hot blonde- ✅
Cutesy staging/performance- ✅
Decently catchy song- ✅

Honestly, I think people are sleeping on Malta because of the first impressions we had with the poor contest they had overall. If I am to compare Malta and Austria in the eyes of the casual voters that see the songs for the first time during the SF, I think people will be more impressed by Malta and for me Malta is way more of a Q than Austria. Everyone in the fandom is hyping on Austria and denying its downfall because of how much we love the studio cut but the live performance is really not great.
The clip that was shown was a decision of the Greek delegation team not Marina. This is honestly the worst part you can show … don’t know what’s wrong with them

In my opinion the ones that definately making it are:
Greece, The Netherlands, Switzerland. Israel, Georgia, Norway, Armenia.
The ones that will fight for the last 3 spots:
Latvia (great vocals, great lyrics, staging ok)
Czechia (best staging, great lyrics, good vocals in the meantime)
Austria(decent staging, weak vocals, weak lyrics)
Denmark (decent staging, weak to decent vocals so far, good lyrics)
Belgium (ok staging, ok lyrics, weak vocals until now).
NQ: Malta, Albania, San Marino, Estonia.
I hope Australia will qualify,Ireland should qualify,Poland always qualify when they have bombastic staging,Cyprus unfortunately has a weak song (a reject from Russia'22 and Greece '23,why did they give this young girl this uninspired song) and the staging is not enough,Azerbaijan is interesting but I don't think they will make it,Serbia should qualify despite the running order,Slovenia - I am not sure about this one,Raiven is a great vocalist but the song is not televoting-friendly.
Belgium was in my top3, now its probably out my top 10 but i still think it should qualify

What makes me think Estonia might actually not make it is that if Montenegro sent that performance and song they would probably been NQ, and people don't seem to love when Baltic countries do something a bit crazy and out of box.
If I were to restage Poland (using the elements that are already there) I would have her an one of the masked dancers in on each of the towers at the start miming a chess game with dancers on the floor, and Luna coming down before the big note to represent her taking charge
I'm now scared for Serbia, this is pure art, but people somehow don't appreciate

Serbia is in trouble i think. Its too early in the running order and doesn’t have enough impact. I LOVE it - but im just trying to be real.
I actually think semi 1 is wide open and Iceland and Moldova are in the mix because they are so old school AND catchy. Do write off the locals digging them.

imo there’s no way poland can NQ with how many friends poland has in the semi. the polish diaspora is huge and enthusiastic. people like to say a diaspora can’t get you a win, which is true, but it can get you a qualification in a televote only semi. I mean, was bejba really third place semi deserving? yet she got it

I hope the Australian video is just a scam and that the final staging will be so surprising. I’m really disappointed with what I’ve seen.
Predict Top3 of SF1: Ukraine,Croatia and Ireland (because staging) so would put Ireland green. 😉

Re:Iceland, as happy as I am for Hera they would have done so much better with Murad(both on the optics and the song's own merit) and even Sigga would have comfortably qualified on "Go Tiffany" memes alone.

I absolutely agree with how frustrating it is when terrible vocals make it to the final just because the song was fun. But what I don't agree with is not being consistent with this view, just because it happens to song you actually like.
It’s a song contest not a singing contest, music changes throughout the years, I’m glad Eurovision offers all kinds of songs, not just boring ballads but a mixture.
During Poland rehearsal delegation had issues with back vocals. It's going to be fixed

I'm genuinely shocked that people don't really see a world where Israel doesn't qualify, just because of the anger around the situation going on there. It's kind of akin to the thought process in 2022 of Ukraine winning because of the support FOR Ukraine... so is it not possible we'd have the exact opposite way of thinking this year, where people vote everything else UP to decrease Israel's chances of qualifying... It's food for thought.

Alesia, welcome to CET. Some of my thoughts:
Serhat had the Turkish vote. (Not Turkiye).
With Spain and Italy in SF2 I think Megara has a chance.
I think, after seeing the rehearsals, not a lot has changed in my perception. For me Raiven was a disappointment (as a fan) and Olly comes back into vision (for the Final). Ukraine really came to life with the staging and the Netherlands...... still waiting.
Poland is advertising with Luna on UA-cam! They go all the way. Haha.
We have so little information on the televote in the SF's it's almost impossible to analyze a possible outcome.
Just enjoy Denmark.
Albania's song started well. The English revamp is woeful and the staging just nope. They literally destroyed their entry.
Greece I don't see any appeal. Never liked the song anyway but that staging and costume are awful.
Serbia will easily qualify for the final. 🇷🇸💜
Georgia is out. Song is weak, just like Malta. Austria is in. Estonia is in. San Marino or Czechia is in.

Fog in order to cover dancers' legs? As a consequence, neither the dancers nor the singer will not see where they are staying and where to go. That comment of too many legs implies that one is lacking being on the stage experience.

The problem with poland is that even the props are good on the staging, they went overkill with them and put way too much (I like the horse scene though).
On the top of that her vocals are unfortunately weak and while she moves even worse. :(
Serbias Problem is that the song has a very slow build up for a 3 minute song and when the vocals are getting shaky then I don't see her qualify either.
Lithuanias song includes weak vocals and weak lyrics and thats the main reason I don't like the song.
The monotone rhythm adds to me not caring about it but it seems people like such things so it will probably qualify.
I think that Cyprus and Australia will come through cause both have good vocals and a nice staging too.
Urkaine I don't care much about but their staging is really great.
Croatia probably dropped because baby said in a interview that we will see more then they had showed before and now they end up doing the exact same thing they did in all of their live performances before with the only difference being the red color on babys shirt instead of the color he used before.
Icelands song is very dated and feels as if it was produced 20 years ago.
Slovenia needs to qualify because she is one of the best vocalists in the competition and the song is good oo.
Azerbaijans song is a bit hit and miss.
Finnland is a fun song but the vocals at the higher part are pitchy and weak and the singer never improved them because his voice just reaches it's limit.
Their staging is not the best either and the hairy butt shown to the world makes it even worse.
Moldova is a great vocalist, the lyrics are great and the staging looks good but the composition of the song just isn't.
I love Australia and I hope they will qualify because the song and the vocals are great and it's meaning adds to it.
Just hoped the staging would had been better to elevated it more.
Luxemburg I'm not sure and I wouldn't be sad it if doesn't.
As about the clips: they were not chosen by the singers themselves. Some even said they were against it posting them but they had no say about what is posted so we got what we got.
