This is, unfortunately, not a “RIE baby.” The toys available here are providing entertainment through sound and light, not by babies’ individual exploration.
The RIE philosophy and ideology suggests placing items that are safe to chew on and not swallow. This can be a cup from the cabinet, a cloth napkin, a small wooden or metal bowl. Babies don’t need a lot to learn fine motor skills.
