I think a bunch of guys at my gym aren’t advanced enough from a wrestling perspective to hit a granby early or at all. They tend to counter with a guillotine and sit to guard with a butterfly hook. Pushing the head to the outside concerns me a bit. Anyone have any suggestions or feedback?
I'd say keep your head up and neck stiff so they can't stuff the head. Back of the head exposure kills a lot of wrestling techniques. Obviously don't hang out there and prioritize getting to your feet
My favorite BJJ channel by far. The vibe, the active style of scrapping these guys have is so entertaining. Especially in a era where BJJ is becoming these boring ass sittings sessions where guys hold hands while whipping their anus on the floor. Such a breath of fresh air. I'm improving just by listening to them and watching them roll. I really like their style and i really aspire to have their style of bjj one day.

Instead of grappling, since Gordon has to live in a bubble now, they have to do a book report. 5 page paper with the usual ap rules and a ,non B team , oral presentation. They can be graded on can they actually read, was the report written in teeth-sharpened crayons, did they obviously get help from a 3rd grader, etc.

I love B team, but honestly when are we going to ditch shrimping up and down mats (not pictured here) and wrestling style warmups (pictured) with light BJJ drilling? This goes for hundreds of other schools as well. Lightly practicing torreando passes, leg drags, or other techniques where you can get in level changes and get the blood flowing will result in hours of more BJJ at the end of the year and achieves the same goal.
I didn't think you all would do this nonsense that doesn't translate into jiu jitsu at all athleticism of course does but this is just wasted time and energy
