Gosh, this is the first video I have watched of the conference and you mention R. C. in the first minute and I just wanted to cry. I miss his courage and clarity - he proved to be a significant restrainer for what shifts have since occurred in the evangelical churches. Ive seen the praxis of Marxism being synchronized to the bible - A Marxism that draws its deceptive power from the "new hermeneutics" that originated with the romantic poets. The Presbyterian church in Australia (specifically Victoria) has installed an authority structure called "Safe Church" that usurps biblical wisdom and process and adapts it to serve critical social justice categories. The verses that most encourage me are Romans 12:1-2, Colossians 2:1-10, Acts 18:9-10
Thank you so much for this q and a and for speaking biblical truth bc we are seeing this watering down of the gospel in our church in Wheaton Illinois of all places (considered the Jerusalem of America) and the dumbing down of holy scripture. The senior Pastor is a lecturer and NOT a shepherd. There are more stories in his sermon than scripture references. So sad but we don’t know what to do . There aren’t good, solid churches in our area. We often quote RC who use to say either move or drive long distances to go to a good church . We are thankful that we have sound biblical teaching at our finger tips and we pray that it would continue. Either before or after church we sit and will listen on line to get spiritually nourished bc it didn’t happen at church . My daughter who is a relatively a young Christian has to do the same bc her church is even more woke. Thank you for doing this !
Very wise to see that it starts in the seminaries. The liberal drift in the American church began there and not in the pews. This divide is evident by the fact that the ruling elders in the PCA are more conservative than the teaching elders. We have to fix the seminaries.
