- Sky News host Rita Panahi has blasted police in Scotland for telling a Jewish man to hide his Star of David necklace out of fear of retaliation from pro-Palestinian protesters.
“If people see your Star … they will get very, very angry. So I am just making you aware that might trigger the people because obviously I understand you’re sitting on different sides of the fence,” the officer said.
“That’s my only concern. The Star will set them off and cause an argument. There is only three of us here, it might be difficult for us to monitor the situation.”
Ms Panahi said if police told protesters to take off their hijab there would be public outroar.
“If this is such an easily triggered, violent mob then have more than three police officers there to protect the community,” she said.
Why would they be set off? Scotland is a free and democratic place right?
And how come there's only 3 police there? Something is not right.
Well, I would think that the police expect the protest to be peaceful, but a few bad apples might be violent, so they are just caring. I stand with the police, with Israel, with the anti-Hamas Palestinians, with anti-Islamists. The west must stand by its fundamentals: freedom, rights, etc. etc. and not tolerate people who come into the country (or who are in the country already) who wish to overthrow our fundamentals. Tolerance must only be given to the tolerant . . . must not be a formula for allowing the intolerant to abuse the tolerant.
Think about it, there’s only three police there because there’s never any trouble, what sky won’t tell you is that many of the protestors are themselves Jewish

Islamic attacks againts Jews have been taking place there for over 100 years, way before Israel was established.
But to understand how far-fetched this myth is, let's compare the Palestinian conduct with the Jewish one in 1947: The UN Partition Plan then offered to give the Jews only 12% of the territory originally allocated to the mandate in the Land of Israel, and only 56% of the territory left from it after the British had torn it apart, a huge chunk and turned it into today's Jordan. Moreover, the proposed territory did not include Jerusalem, the Jewish national center for two thousand years, and the proposed borders were completely indefensible. Despite all this, the leadership of the Jews accepted the Partition plan. Because two years after the Holocaust, which not only proved the danger of Jews not having a state of their own, but also left behind hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees looking for home. According to their own accepted narrative, the Palestinians are in a similar situation today. According to the same Palestinian narrative, for decades millions of them lived under brutal occupation. Millions of others live in refugee camps in Arab countries, without any hope. Only a real state can put an end to this. Under these circumstances, we would expect that the Palestinian leadership to agree to anything that offers them a path to a state. But instead, the Palestinians decided to reject all offers. Absurdly, the Palestinians didn't just reject offers like the offer the Jews has accepted in 1947. But they also rejected the most far-reaching plans such as those of Clinton and Olmert, who offered them 95 to 100 percent of the territory they allegedly demand, including most of East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. In other words, the Palestinians rejected any possible formula that could have led to the establishment of a Palestinian state alongside the State of Israel. When you look at why the Palestinians stubbornly of refusing to accept any offer, the problem suddenly becomes clear: First, they refused to give up their demand for the resettlement of the refugees not in the Palestinian state but within Israel itself! A move that would lead to the elimination of Israel. They also refused to recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. They even refused to recognize any historical Jewish connection to the Land of Israel, and especially to the Temple Mount, even though they'd actually control it! In short, the Palestinians don't really want a Palestinian state alongside a Jewish state- If they wanted it, they could have got it anytime. What the Palestinians REALLY want is a Palestinian state to replace the Jewish state! Until that position changes, peace between Israel and the Palestinians will never happen

I think the policeman was very kind to suggest it to the man for his own safety. There was obviously not enough policemen for the amount of protestors so they could not have kept him safe. I don't think the protestors gave notice of their intention to go on the streets, otherwise there would have been more policemen there. Get them the heck out of the UK and we sure don't need them in Scotland!

At least the policeman was polite. we’ve seen on the news the way Police talk to people and what about that man that was arrested for holding the Israeli flag and thousands of people threatening violence were free to threaten violence. When it’s Friday tomorrow and it’s the Muslim holy day as is Sunday for Christians and nobody will disturb any Muslims going to the mosque to pray or desecrate their flags. This is a step too far. A similar thing happened in English hospitals where nurses where told to remove cross necklaces.
