Me and family talked a lot about how this season has a theme about how even "crime syndicates" are less family owned and more corporation. Especially in the end for Mike Milligan.
Wow it's almost like that was the entire point. Joke Marlo at the end of the wire he survived but still lost and ended up with not much me than began with
I kind of wonder if not for the earlier doughnut assault and Dodd's outburst, would Kansas have seriously considered the counter offer? I mean the deal was as good as dead before she said it due to their doubts about the sons -- but in a different context would they have seen it as a win-win?
That's not how The System works. Expand or Die. KC had more men and resources. None of the Gerhardt Heirs could fill the Throne. They either had no respect like Bear, no potential like Rye, no self control like Dodd, no loyalty like Simone, no unquestioned authority like Floyd, or were just not physically capable like Charlie or Otto himself. And the Clock was no help. KC would take everything, it was just a question of when.
Joe: you know Dodd I remember you used to wait in the car, and as far as I’m concerned you should still be there!! Floyd: Joe he was just- Joe: fuck he was just everybody’s got a goddamn opinion!!!
She was gold, but dodd from the get go sabotaged every chance they had because he was trained to be a sexist like his dad and so he thinks a woman like his mom should not be in charge.

Mike milligan did well and thought that gave him leeway to make suggestions, though a criminal,i felt sorry for him at the end.

@@TannerisSmol97can you rephrase that in English please
Milligan thought that he was such a hot shot with his literary quotes but look where he ended up.
Mike did all that just for a cell-like office
"in the acquisition of donuts" is a phrase I will use more often.
"Appropriation" Although your word would also work in this context as well
Great cut. The final line about wiping every last Gerhardt off the face of the earth wasn’t that important.
3:20 I never realised it, but this scene has a great use of irony. Dodd pretty much proves his point.
Joe learned well from Ebal Violante
Joe was pretty much “ah shit here we go again”
Not learned. Dead. Don't care "Ebal Violante." Don't care "learned well." Kill and be killed. Head in a box. There's the message.
Jean Smart owned this scene , especially her old woman speech
Too bad she was too stupid to trust Hanzee
She looks older than 61. Good acting 🎭.

I think they would of created a reason to go to war regardless

"Old lady Gerhardt, I have a new offer. I take over every Jimmy John's franchise from Kansas City to Fargo all the way to Luverne, Minnesota!"
When he said 'I see.' I was waiting them to pull out Uzi' and end right there
She never had control.
ALOT of crime families back then couldn't control the " Disco Brat" era.
Dodd is no more than an enforcer
I absolutely love Jean Smart.
I would love a whole series on the gearhearts like the sopranos lol see how they dress n act in summer 😂 or fall
Joe is probably thinking “Aw shit here we go again.”

Floyd: Joe he was just-

This does give a sopranos vibe, huh?
Forsure! Both really well written shows about crime
I didn't say nothing mom..
Thanks to finally having this scene uploaded 👍
Thought this was judge Judy 😂😂
You’re a putz!
Lol, when I negotiate with my family about me getting late today 😂
That's a gorgeous woman
Awesome season, but they got rid of Robert too quickly. He s such a boss here, and then just dies in the Woods or sth.
Jebiga
His name is Joe Bulo, not Robert
@@Spectahman2.0 Robert from everybody loves Raymond
I actually did wish he lasted longer. I liked the dialogue between him and Milligan.
@@kitosjek9541nema jebiga
Raymond Raymond Raymond
Robert was sitting across from the Minnesota version of his family: Marie/Floyd, Ray/Dodd, and Robert/Bear
i feel like she failed this negotiation lol
Nope, that was perfectly reasonable. Unless you talking about how she surrendered a lot or power, in that case your right.
Well, I mean, she didn't know that Dodd fucked up two of of the KC guys, so I'd say the fact she looked foolish was on him.
Dodd was the one who tanked the negotiation
She was gold, but dodd from the get go sabotaged every chance they had

She was great in this scene, everyone was don't get me wrong, but I think this is one of her best scenes.
Joe should have given the "We are the Sea" speech.
Masterful
Reaganomics meets Ma&Pa
It’s hard to believe he killed Josto Fadda and the Nurse !
Robert Barone quit in NYPD?😂
One of my fav scenes from season 2
So. Close.
Roberts somehow managed to become even more depressed looking
"Joe Bulo says hi."
*Thats the oldest looking 60yr old*
Ummm no
????
This show is the rare embarrassment to the Coen Bros legacy. I guess some people like it, though.
So wrong buddy
Not S1 or S2 those are good it's the others that suck
Rare embarrassment? You sure you’re not thinking of that awful Clooney/zeta Jones film they did?
