Speaking of which I wonder if the Lakers could do something like that with a team like the Thunder who have a ton of first round draft picks, maybe the Thunder expect the Lakers 2029 or 2031 pick will be high in the draft, so they might trade a couple earlier first round picks for that, and that would unlock the ability for the Lakers to trade either those picks or their own first round picks they still have but currently can’t trade them due to the Stepien rule.

I'm definitely pro make more trades and basically go all in. We have two top 10 level players on this team. Lebron is still showing you he's great and in big games he'll be the Lebron we know. AD has been dominant this season and is in his prime. You look at the west with us currently in 6th place. Despite the west being very competitive and more than in years past there's really no juggernaut in the west. Aside from okc being really good rn everyones pretty evenly matched and even okc will have flaws come playoffs. The thing with Bruce Brown is that if we trade for him we would need to give up Rui + Max, or what's more likely ------> Rui + JHS + min contract meaning TOR would need to waive 2 of their players. This would surely require both second round picks at the very least. IMO, this leaves us with trying to trade Gabe for a backup playmaker because Bron and Reaves would still be the only two playmakers in our roster. Maybe this second part isn't necessary because our team would be a STACKED defensive team, but I fear the offensive burden might be too much for Bron and Reaves. Gabe's $11 mil + we can add 1 or 2 minimum - so up to $5 mil extra = we can trade for anyone making $11-16 mil. Looking through all NBA salaries, literally Coby White is the only one that fits the playmaking criteria at $12 mil. So Gabe + minimum contract + 1 first + 2027 first if it lands #1-4 for Coby White. Leaves us with 1 first round pick. Rotation: Reaves, Bruce, DFS, Bron, AD >>>> Coby, Max, Vando, Hayes, Koloko/Jemison.

Players always think they are a piece or two away. It's not that easy. Lakers want Zach Lavine, well they have to get 43 mil in salary to do it. Thats Rui, Gabe, and pretty much every player on our bench plus picks. How far is a team with no bench getting with teams like The Rockets, Thunder, Celtics, and Griz. The reality if you want this team to be more balanced, then you move LeBron. But that's not going to happen for non-basketball related reasons.

I'm definitely pro make more trades and basically go all in. We have two top 10 level players on this team. Lebron is still showing you he's great and in big games he'll be the Lebron we know. AD has been dominant this season and is in his prime. You look at the west with us currently in 6th place. Despite the west being very competitive and more than in years past there's really no juggernaut in the west. Aside from okc being really good rn everyones pretty evenly matched and even okc will have flaws come playoffs. I'm gonna be honest like us healthy with another good trade or 2 i legitimately think we could win the west. If the Lakers aren't gonna do anything anymore to help this team then they gotta just rebuild in offseason and let Bron and AD go to teams that will compete

The thing with Bruce Brown is that if we trade for him we would need to give up Rui + Max, or what's more likely ------> Rui + JHS + min contract meaning TOR would need to waive 2 of their players. This would surely require both second round picks at the very least.
IMO, this leaves us with trying to trade Gabe for a backup playmaker because Bron and Reaves would still be the only two playmakers in our roster. Maybe this second part isn't necessary because our team would be a STACKED defensive team, but I fear the offensive burden might be too much for Bron and Reaves.
Gabe's $11 mil + we can add 1 or 2 minimum - so up to $5 mil extra = we can trade for anyone making $11-16 mil. Looking through all NBA salaries, literally Coby White is the only one that fits the playmaking criteria at $12 mil. So Gabe + minimum contract + 1 first + 2027 first if it lands #1-4 for Coby White.
Leaves us with 1 first round pick.
