Aw that is so sweet of your mom to request this song❤️ Even though it's not Peter Cetera singing this is always been one of my favorite Chicago songs❤️
Hi Lizzie, Whether you like their older stuff or their newer stuff, you can't go wrong with Chicago!!! They are an "elite" band that has stood the test of time just like their friends Earth Wind & Fire!!! Shout out to your Mom for this excellent selection and "kudos" to you for this reaction!!!
Rock ballads are still cool and easy listening today. Once in awhile I watch ur video reactions to help bring that old flames of my younger life back. Thanks.😁
I was in high school when this song hit the charts. I remember buying the tape ( yes tape, Lol) . Me & my girlfriend at the time listen to it over and over ❤️. The 80s were a great time to be a teenager and also in love 🥰.
This is my ALL time FAVOURITE song ever by Chicago - and they have so many amazing hits. But this is the one that will always give me chills and make me cry decades later.
You should definitely check out their other early-to-mid '80s ballads which are similar to this, but also include their then-lead singer Peter Cetera: "Hard to say I'm Sorry," and "You're the Inspiration," have some great harmonies as well.
Chicago 18 also has the updated version of 25 or 6 to 4 on it-- definitely worth a listen. Also, 'I Believe,' 'One More Day,' 'It's Alright,' and 'Niagara Falls' are on it as well.
@@colemitchell228 I agree! I liked it when I bought it. I didn't necessarily love EVERY tune on it, but most of them were pretty good, considering it was their first after Cetera's departure and with Scheff as the fresh front man on vocals and bass!
Hi Liz! You go Mom great choice! Beautiful song with the "Fantastic" lyrics, music and those harmonies (Ambrosia)! One of my favorite Chicago songs! Give Mom a big thank you from me and you be careful and stay safe! "Vibe Squad Out"!
Yes, Lizzie! Kudos to you mom for recommending it and to you for listening to it and giving us you reaction! Time for something altogether different since you love strings... ua-cam.com/video/fpznE317J-A/v-deo.html
I've heard this played on the radio before. But my favorites are "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is", "Saturday In The Park" and "25 Or 6 To 4". Back in the mid 1970's, I almost bought their albums. Unfortunately, Chicago had their albums out at the same time as Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, The Isley Brothers, Minnie Riperton, Earth Wind & Fire, Average White Band, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Rose Royce, Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band, Odyssey, Roberta Flack, Marvin Gaye, Ramsey Lewis, Donald Byrd & the Blackbyrds, The 5th Dimension, Sergio Mendes & Brazil '74, Natalie Cole, John Barry and Shirley Bassey (Diamonds Are Forever) and Burt Bacharach. Those are a few of the albums I remember buying back when I was in middle school and high school. When I think back, I'm still amazed that I managed to buy that many records. To see you enjoying music as much as I do is why I watch your videos. Plus, I like the way you prioritize the music your mom requests. Thanks for the video today.
Inspiration comes from the soul as well as age. Yours is soul. Just bought new bass guitar because of you. I thank you and will find more great music. Prayers to you and family. Tom C
Great reaction Lizzie. I highly recommend more Chicago, especially their earlier music. This is when they started to become a power ballad band, but in my opinion their early stuff is better.
They also had some great songs during the Scheff era. They were known for their power ballads, but they had some other great tracks on their albums which didn't get much air play. Check out 'Victorious' from Chicago 19 among other great tracks on that album as well - ua-cam.com/video/bRIHA4U7GxA/v-deo.html
I am so glad that you reacted to this forgotten gem. Because it's not Peter Cetera people tend to overlook this iteration of Chicago and they shouldn't.
Lizzie, I'm glad you listened to your mom, as you should😊 Apparently she's a fan of Chicago and Peter Cetera who was there lead singer initially. She would probably like the song "The Glory of Love" from the soundtrack of the movie The Karate Kid Part 2 (1986). My daughters were teenagers and they and there cousins went to see the movie. When the song was played they said they all stood up and sang along. They and their cousins still talk about it. It was a great memory for them. Thanks for the reaction Liz!!❤
Hi sweetheart, GB Nanna here. Just checking in with you to make sure you're ok. I must say, you're looking mighty fine as always. All of us over here, send you much love as our Queen's Jubilee approaches. Hope your momma's well. Big hugs my precious, be happy. xx
can't get wrong with Chicago killer group nice easy listening music check out blood sweat and tears I love you more than you'll ever know great having you back your reactions always put a smile on my face 😀😃😄
I was just listening to Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm yours. (Stevie Wonder of course) 1970. I mean Pete Frampton covered it...Imagine David Ruffin stuck with the Temptations for a few more years an they covered it! Love Stevie Wonder! But My God the Original Temps could you Imagine? My head Explode!
Hi Lizi, hope you are doing well. Thought you would like Sarah by Toto and Dust in the wind by Kansas. Thank you for inspiring me to add sax to my drums. Your picks are always spot on. Wish you well. Tom C
Hey Lizzie, got another suggestion for a reaction video for you. Chicago's biggest #1 hit straddled its chart run between 1988-89. The song is called "Look Away"!! I've sung this song in karaoke bars have gotten great reactions from that!! Take care sweetie!! MUAH!!!!!🙂💋❤️
Chicago released their first album in 1969, with the phenomenal Terry Kath on lead guitar and vocals. He, unfortunately died in 1978, and the band lost its edge, and became a pop mainstay. Check out 25 or 6 to 4 Live m.ua-cam.com/video/eBgbxjfbT78/v-deo.html
Thank you so very much. Could you please play another one of my favorite songs by Chance called " It's hard to say I love you". I thank you so very, very much young lady and can you please tell me what you think of it? I'd really appreciate it very much. Geed evening 🌆. Adios

Definitely not Peter Cetera, but the replacement was very good. My favorite Chicago song is "Wishing You Were Here", from before their pop era. Have a great day!
Hi Liz, been meaning to ask you for a while now, please react to Daryl Hall '' Stop loving me, Stop loving you '' from his 90's album Soul Alone, you will love it ❤❤❤
I really like the new format! Well, you said you like these Anti-Crusty lists so here goes another in hopes you will find something you do not know... - You've Made Me So Very Happy by Blood, Sweat & Tears (1967) - Breakin' Me by Jonny Lang (1998) - Fooled Around and Fell in Love by Elvin Bishop (1975) - I Love You by Climax Blues Band (1980) - Fool, If You Think It's Over by Chris Rea (1978)
Hey young lady. Hope all is well now and gets better. Found another orleans: Dance with me. Thank you so,so much helping me focus on better times. True hippie gangster. Tom C
It's time for you to really expand your music listening, and try a group that has been together for 20+ years. The acapella group Home Free has a new cover out called 'The Driver', and it has some of the most beautiful harmonies ever. Be brave and try something exciting. Enjoy! ✌️😎
I love Peter Cetera but man oh man can Jason sing! His songs are more musically satisfying and much more melodic IN MY opinion. And music is all about opinions and what we each like
Yea, the horn section (one thing that made them original) was essentially eliminated and their style completely changed. Terry was the leader and soul of Chicago
Hi Lizzie, I have a couple for you. How about Every breath you take - The Police from 1983 and also a lot more recent how about Disturbed - The Sound of Silence from 2016. Thanks enjoy the channel.
Keep taking care of Mom Liz,that was not the real Chicago,Lister to any of their hits from back in the 70's with the Original Members I think you'll like it better and Mom to

He’s not Peter Cetera (original Chicago main lead singer), but Jason Scheff, who took over as Chicago lead singer in 1985, also has a hell of a voice.
You are correct they are from the greatest city in America and the world Chicago. I love our city.
Been a fan of the group since I was a kid. So glad that you experienced this song.
