- July 15 marks the 20th anniversary of fashion designer Gianni Versace's assassination outside his Miami mansion. Versace's killer was Andrew Cunanan, a 27-year-old college dropout. The murder still haunts pop culture and is the subject of the upcoming FX series, "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace." It stars Penelope Cruz as his sister, Donatella, and Edgar Ramirez as the late designer. The series also stars Ricky Martin and Darren Criss, and is set to air next year. #InsideEdition
Very sad. Just read about this case and this psycho killed two friends, two random men who didn’t even know him, and Versace. What a psycho. I feel especially bad for the cemetery worker who was killed for his pick up truck and how his wife found him after he didn’t return for dinner

According to a movie I saw, due to the killings he had done, police knew who Andrew Cunanan, was & were looking for him. This here is why his Sister Donatella, was angry at the police in Miami, they had printed a trunk load of flyers with his picture but not one flyer had been distributed. If they had maybe it would have saved Versace's, life he had met Cunanan, in San Francisco. Cunanan, was forceful, rude, on meeting Versace, in the movie he was not interested in getting involved. Cunanan, was obsessed, so jealous of his success, stalked him, killed him.

I saw the mansion and got pictures, it was a really beautiful mansion in the middle of a busy miami beach street, very detailed and amazing house. It was haunting thinking that near where I was standing, someone got killed.

There is nothing we can do for Gianni Versace, but something can be done for Enrico Forti, who wrongfully spent half of his life in a Florida penitentiary for a crime he did not commit! Forti was a successful producer of documentaries and he also investigated in Versace’s murder just before being arrested. Enrico is still detained in Florida, despite countless efforts made by the Italian Government over several years to set him free!

There's a lot more to this story than simple Jealousy. The killer was essentially a gigolo that was being past around by rich men like a toy. Strong evidence shows Versace was also in the same circles as the other men he killed. I do think jealous played a roll but definitely not the only or even biggest factor in the killings.
