I enjoyed your video, thank you for a job nicely done. I grew up in Kokomo, where Buckeye St (if my memory serves me well) has a railroad track in the center of the street. I'm not sure when those tracks were last used.
I saw at least one tanker on that siding early in your videos. Then later...about the 14-minute mark, when you show the UP trailing away, the tanker car on the siding is gone. Did they work the siding while you were there or did the railroad service that customer overnight? Carload Express tends to work their customers at night at my nearest street running location in Oakmont, PA.
If you watch at the beginning of each train I’ll have a time stamp what you saw was a different day. The local I filmed going by the empty tank car would have been picked back up later the day and taken back to Frankfort yard.
NS 122 and 123 come through usually in the morning or early afternoon and the local runs at night but for the past few weeks it’s been running during the day. There’s a few extra grain trains come through here in there.
@@therailroadtiespiker I guess the Lake Erie District in Wickliffe Ohio (where I always go to) is busier (309, 310, 315, 316, 264, 265, 28B and 29P are daily and a handful of as needed trains) and parallels the very busy CSX Erie West Subdivision
@@clevelandarearailfan now the Lafayette sub is somewhat busy we have NS 120, 121, 148, 181, 199, 255, 256, 18K, 19K, 14Q, 15Q, and a few more I can’t think of right now.
Weird that the street appears to be more residential than commercial. Was it always that way? I thought street running was designed to be able to offload/onload as close as possible to businesses back in the day.

The Train on this Street gives the Rocking N Rolling a whole Different Meaning. 😬👍
Yes it does. Lol
Busy day for NS, the garbage truck and UPS. GOOD VIDEO.
Thank you John for watching. Yes all the action happened in about a hour’s time then nothing till about 5 that evening.
Man they were moving on the streets! I would like to believe the railroad came first. He who is bigger is king. Lol!
Nice catch sir. 😎👍🏻
nice video sir ❤❤
Thank you for watching
Nice I had a lot of great action on my NS line today like I do most days
I’m going to be filming north of Marion Ohio this weekend
Always Enjoy seeing the Long Hood Forward however I don’t see it much since I Live around Busy Main Lines.
I see occasionally in logansport to.
Another great street running video of NS!🛤🚂
Thank you…. I caught some cool train action in Marion Ohio this morning with a unexpected snow storm last night
Very cool that's pretty cool keep up the good work
Thank you Ron for watching

Thank you so much for watching…. Defenbaugh street was were the track ran through. I live in Buckeye street not very far from there.
Awesome video with a dpu working hard 👍🚂🇺🇸😎👍
Yes NS 123 always has a DPU even if the train is only a few cars.
Hearing an sd70ace around the curve is crazy and as far as it was blew my mind. Just prooves K5LLA is louder then GE
Those old SD70ACe locomotives have such loud horns they usually distort my microphones.
My Guess was the Railroad but that was the Wrong Answer. 🤔👍
The street was there almost 20 years before the railroad came through.
hello The Railroad Tie Spiker & Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks The Railroad Tie Spiker Friends Randy
Thank you Randy for watching
The train speed through there is insane, more power to that trash truck driver too.👍🏼😱😳
That guy came through just a few minutes before the trains came through.
You should do another 1 of these on la grange ky
I’m actually planning a trip very soon.

I love that horn k5la
The Railroad came first and will always be first,0:36
Sorry to say but the street was there almost 20 years before the track was.
@@therailroadtiespiker It may have always been railroad property...
@@vernonslone8627 no actually the street was there first by about 20 years before the railroad tracks came through
Where does that line go that's off to the right
That used to be the Pennsylvania line that crossed a diamond at one time now it’s just a siding for Red Gold catch-up.
@@therailroadtiespiker OK I do remember the Pennsylvania running through there years ago
@@RICKCOPE-q9d do you remember when they took the tracks out?
Looks more like a New Jersey Transit High-Railer Truck doesn't?,3:44
Railroad 😊
I’m not planning to go to Elwood, but how busy is the Frankfort District?

The street was laid down in 1852 and the track around 1872.
How many trains a day go through Elwood
Right now 3 to 5 trains a day
Both Dash 9s will soon likely become AC44C6Ms.
Yes they will be.
I'll bet the rails were there long before the streets
