Fun fact: Fatality and Dabuz are good friends who have played each other dozens of times over yuzu/parsec online SSBU. Usually the sets go pretty handily in Dabuz’s favor there, too.
I find it odd how other top players finding success with previously unfancied characters have caused those characters to be reevaluated - except for Rosalina, somehow, no matter how far Dabuz pushes the character against quality opponents the consensus remains stubbornly that she's mid at best.
Part of that is that Dabuz himself maintains that she's not particularly good

she’s definitely a high tier in dabuz’s hands but even in smash 4 rosa wasn’t particularly popular, she’s a very technical character and in ult she’s often overlooked yet look how strong she can actually be
Well against some characters rosa looks pretty decent, but against her bad matchups, she looks unplayable. I mean there’s a reason why Dabuz doesn’t solo main her and only uses her in specific matchups.
@@beanbot3801 i mean he has been using her a lot recently with all the new tech he’s been adding to his gameplay and won against some hard matchups like Sephiroth, Roy and others, I truly think that Rosa has even more to offer, she hasn’t even reached half of what she can do

What's funny is that most people consider captain falcon to be better than rosa even though she beats him in most categories. She has longer range, better neutral, better juggling, better edge guarding. She also has better combos (even though people think otherwise) and she kills him better than he kills her.
Respectfully, Fatality seems to jump a lot and has little confidence in falcons burst options.. lots of offense but not a great defensive awareness

ugh. At what point will fatality, if ever, pick up another character? He always does well in pools, but once your in top 32 or whatever you're going to obviously play against top players. Most of them are not going to lose to the falcon you get through pools with. I know it's not all about the meta, which dabuz displays perfectly, but I'd love to see fatality pull out someone new in his next run.

But in any case, Dabuz is a very reactive player and tends to sit in shield a lot. Side and down b's have a very good chance of getting punished because of this.

Falcon is really good, but not a solo viable character. A lot like Roy, but slightly worse.

if only to see his stans cope and seethe, love to see it honestly. Sorry, i know it's not fair to judge someone based off their fanbase, but it's too late. Either blaming the matchup, his opponent's playstyle or Falco's frame data in every loss, and sucking his toes on every W, it's hard to want to be associated with that.

Detached luma is a mixup tool. This game is too fast paced and volatile for that type of gameplay to function. Spacing bair, starbits, preemptive fairs are the way to go.

There's only so much you can do as falcon in this match up
bad matchup, captain falcon can't consistently combo in advantage on floaties like rosalina. Also with the way Dabuz is playing he punishes you for being impatient. It's the biggest camper in new york. Both great players, but one just got impatient.
Dabuz's Rosa is insanely good. It's not like Dabuz let him come close
