I have 2 set ups and one more to set up soon to replace old existing setups, the problem I have which I didnt have with the old systems is that for security I live view constantly remotley in one area, the systems I have set up both freeze after approx 5mins constantly, I have been over and over the settings and cannot figure out why this happens. I have contacted Hikvision but never get an answer. Have you or anyone on here had this issue and is there something I am missing in the settings to stop the freezing happening. TIA
Hi So Hik connect is not designed for a 24/7 mobile monitoring solution. If you are using a PC I would suggest you log in using IVMS4200 on the pc and use this to monitor your sites. Be mindful though that if you are remotely monitoring CCTV over the internet you will be using a huge amount of bandwidth monitoring multiple channels at the same time. If you do not have a fibre optic internet service chances are you will cause yourself more problems with other services trying to use the internet at the same time.
Hi Richard, Im guessing here but are you trying to connect to the camera directly via web browser? First of all use Internet explorer, itll be easier for you with installing plugins etc and will just work as per videos on youtube. to access cameras that are attached to your NVR best way for you to do this is go to configuration - Network settings - advanced configuration - Other in that menu there is a tick box or a slider button dependent on firmware of the NVR that is labeled Virtual Host. Turn this on Click Save. Then go to Camera Management, your list of cameras will now have an IP address with port number 6500x after them, you can now access all channels by clicking their links or changing from 65001/002 etc etc for each camera.
Hi Richard, See below comments for your other query. But this now depends on your cameras and the firware on them and then updating your Web components plug ins etc. Clear your browser cache after doing all of this and reboot your PC. If your cameras support latest firmware then it should be fine. see www.hikvisioneurope.com/uk/portal/ and go through to front ends and camera firmwares and make sure you get the right firmware for your camera. There are some work arounds but none are really great. only a matter of time before we see old models phased out and they will be EOL and no longer supported.
Hi can I ask a question I have the ds 2se7c124iw ae this is a dual camera ptz how do you get both cameras up on hik connect do you give them the same IP address and change camera settings to 2 instead of 1 camera in that address or do you know a different way of doing this Thanks
I haven’t ever added one of those onto HIK connect direct. I’m assuming that’s what you mean? It should add bit like an NVR as the camera has 2 channels. If you was adding it to an NVR you would manually configure by IP then choose the relevant channel
You might be better to watch out other video of how to set up a system from scratch and it will show you how to use the SADP tool which will give you the IP Address of your units. Then you can enter the IP address to your URL bar and you are there.
I have downloaded the SADP as suggested but when I run it nothing happens - shows 0 devices online. (My issue happened as we changed BT router) up address I used to use no longer works - please help
Hi Jane, are you using BT wifi extender discs? It sounds like your just not connected correctly. We can assist you via Remote Desktop if you like but there is a charge for this service please contact info@charged.services
Very good, however… I have 2 hik Wi-Fi cameras that work fine, just added another one and I can not get it to be visible on the app via the mobile network, it is the only camera that shows offline status and all settings seem to be the came as the other two cameras?. Any ideas????

@@ChargedServices hi there, don’t have an NVR it’s all Wi-Fi, just discovered that the new camera will work if it’s plugged into the router via a CAT cable
I've got 4 cameras and one of them just keeps going offline. It gets an IP and works, but 48hrs later it goes offline until I unplug the cable and plug it back in. It's wired too on a POE switch and the router hands out IPs to it just fine, statically mapped.
Hi there I installed the SADP Tool and I can only see the NVR but it says offline, also I can't see the cameras either. I recently changed my network provider. Can you please assist as I dont think the admin password is correct?
0hi sir: my two linksys routers (MR7500) and linksys EA 6900 work fine with my NVR. No problems. My newest router ASUS RT-AX88U, when i plug in my ipv6 cable into the router port, does not show up on the client list. My ip cameras show offline. Ny NVR is IVMS4200 hikvision. Do you know what settings i can change on the Asus Router to gain access ? with out affecting the other two linksys routers. i prefer not to make no changes on the NVR Monitor as to not get a error when i start the linksys routers again. hope you can help. ASUS Tech support is of no help.
Id suggest go to network settings and enable DHCP as your multiple router setup is probably throwing out something. If your other devices can join and get access to the internet your DHCP should be working this should fix it
@@ChargedServices Thanks for writing. I was able to access the ASUS Router, but i do not want to have a different ip address. i would like the same for two routers. do you know if this is possible. Additionally i was not able to get LTE setting to work. do you know how i would fix this as well. my NVR does not have the capabilities to get into hik-connect.

Hi Ian, Id say with gates we generally find cable and connection is usually the problem. Where are you based and if your in the south east of england we might be able to help you. send us an email info@charged.services for more help
Were you able to solve this issue? I am facing the same right now, on a new system. My driveway video monitor( let's cal it doorbell) is connected to 2 interior monitors. The doorbell connection runs through a standard bell cable (not IP) towards the electrical wall box. The monitors are also connected with standard bell wires but are also Wi-fi enabled. Whenever and if I try to update the system, I need to use a Lan cable, otherwise the doorbell is not accessible. The issue is that from that moment onwards the bell system stops working. I think because all 3 devices get a lan IP address, as well as 2 Wi-Fi IP addresses. It's really messed up. If I turn of the Wi-Fi while I set everything up through Lan, once everything is finished and I remove the lan cable, the system is " confused" due to the change of IP addresses for the 2 monitors. What puzzles me the most is that this doorbell system was rather expensive.
Thank you for tutorial video. Still one thing puzzles me, and I can't find the answer. I'm currently using smartphone with 'ip webcam' app for monitoring room. The problem is whenever power in room is lost my phone not only stops sending videos after motion detection, but also stops saving them to it's own memory. Then I have to personally turn app again so it can start detect motion and record again. In that situation potential intruder can simply turn off power. Can I configure for example HWC-C120 model so it would be immune to such power loses? It has 5V DC input so I could power it through powerbank. Then if power goes down and my router turns off camera still should be powered for many hours. (router battery lasts only about an hour) IMPORTANT QUESTION - would camera still save a movie on memory card after it loses connection with router?
Yes simply put I have no experience with that camera you mentioned but. So long as the camera is powered and an internal memory card installed it will record
Fantastic video and very well explained. I have recently moved into a house that has this system fitted with one indoor screen and one camera intercom fitted outside on our electric gate. I was using ivms and for some reason I get two indoor screens coming up on the online search and then the one camera/intercom at the gate. I want to add the keypad to the system and have read that I must use ivms to program this and this is where my problem starts. I have tried adding the gate camera/intercom to ivms but it keeps saying that it has timed out. I tried following your guide as we have a fancy wifi system with the main virgin wifi box and then also another router which distributes access points around our home so enable the option to find its own ip address which it changed after refresh but then our system stopped working from both the app and the indoor screen so I put it back to the original ip address. I am assuming that the gate camera/intercom is not setup to the network properly as the time shows a date year of 1970 but am really confused as to how to get my keypad configured now.
Drop me an email Paul - info@charged.services sounds like you have a variety of issues. All probably minor and just a bit of topology that needs sorting
Is that by chance a Metzler intercom video system? I have dealt with similar issues and still did not figure out a way to have constant Hik vision access.
Great 👍 video...I have 2 questions if you could be so kind as to help Q1. If I use the Web browser to log In to the DVR does it have exactly the same functionality and option as login in to the Physical DVR? Q2.I only have a 2 4k camera set up but after updating the DVR to the latest firm only 1 camera displays now on the phone app and Web client it just says NO VIDEO any suggestions would be really appreciated
Id say you have done something wrong. Check the Camera management page and make sure you have 2 cameras visible. If you have a DVR and the cameras are TVI id suggest you check your compatibility as most of the basic DVR's cannot support 4k on more than channel 1.
Hi Chris followed your instructions but when I go tot he app and go to the cameras I get connection failed and i still get no notifications. any help aprreciated - thanks
Unfortunately without more detail I’d say your just not in the same Lan, either your wifi is different to the Ethernet connections everything else is connected to? Could be all your cameras are attached to the NVR and the NVR isn’t connected properly
Hello Sir: My hikvision NVR 4200 has one out of six cameras that is offline. Can you assist me in the steps i would need to take to bring that one camera back on line?. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hi this can be a complex one. It depends on model etc as to where to start. do you know if they are IP cameras? id suggest without seeing anything its likely a connection/ cable problem.
hello! I was able to connect to my HIKvision remotely in the past on my web browser and on my phone via iVMS app (I never had an account with HIKvision). I recently changed routers and I cannot connect HIKvision on anything. I typed the correct IP address on internet explorer and while entering my admin and password, it says "the IP address does not match." I used the SADP tool which shows the device is online. I set up the gateway correctly after finding it with ipconfig on the command prompt. Subnet mask matches as well. Still cannot login. Do you have any suggestions?
Not sure if you watched the video correctly but enable DHCP on the device first. Enable HIK connect save it. You may have to reboot your NVR and router in case it is having an IP conflict and not releasing the IP it was on. Do all of that first and you should get connected again
@@ChargedServices thanks so much for responding. I think the problem is that the "enable hik connect" is greyed out in the sadp tool and I cannot enable it. Do you know if there is away to get around that. I'll keep trying!

Hi! We can try. What model of camera is it? Couple things to look out for is most of these HikVision or not only support 2.4ghz WiFi band. What we have here for instance is a separate 2.4ghz band for cctv/doorbell devices. This allows them to connect fine and has no issues. I’d suspect your problem lies there as it’s most common.
Hi I have a hikvision dvr and colourvu camera and randomly one camera goes offline (no video) before it’ goes off comes up with horizontal lines like interference. Any suggestions ? I can confirm the camera are viewable internally via LAN IP. I have updated the DVR firmware, all port forwarding been done on the router. I have also followed your video but still no luck. Any ideas?
Hi Chris when ever I have to back up video and audio of captions needed for verifications to show for legal purposes expressed, the audio recording does not back up with the video caption.. Do you have a solution Thanks Cha
I’m assuming here as not sure I understand how you wrote this. You don’t have audio on recordings but you have audio on the live view? If so go to Storage Schedule (web browser), top left is Advanced button there is a tick box save audio. Click that apply to all channels and save.
well, I tried all of that, as long as I use a cable from the camera to the router, I can see my camera, the IP address and so on. As soon as I disconnect the cable, it is over. No way to get cameras connecting through WIFI. I didn't have that problem with my TP-Link router. That started since I switched for an ASUS one
Sounds like your trying to use wifi cameras and the issue you have is they work in 2.4ghz so probably need to set up a dedicated 2.4ghz network for your cameras and pair them with that
G'day Chris! I have a 4 channel HikVision NVR and one camera at the front gate. The gate is about 100 metres away so i use a wireless link with Ubiquiti nanostations. Everything in the house is hardwired so i have no trouble browsing to the NVR. The problem i have however, is that there is a power failure to the NVR, the camera will not reconnect automatically. The status of the camera is shown as Offline (detecting)... so it seems to be seeing a device but is unable to configure / identify it. The solution i have discovered is to disconnect the camera and plug it directly into the camera port on the NVR, wait for it to come online and then install back at the gate. Any ideas how i can make it connect automatically after a power failure.
You need to configure a static IP on the camera and reserve the IP on your router. As that camera in the ubiquity will be getting an IP from the router and not your NVR. That way on reboot it will always have the IP it was assigned and the NVR will always be looking for that IP
I've never had an administrator password. That SADP simply detected my camera and showed me it's IP address, but as of this morning, it's not detecting, and not showing in Blue Iris.Cut the power to it and re-connected it. Reset router, etc, still nothing.
This was helpful. But as a relatively non technical person. I now have connection when I’m on my home wifi but not connected when off home wifi or most importantly when I’m not at home at all. Can you help?
Hi Chris, I have done all of that and for some reason my NVR still keeps saying Offline - Server connection failed. I am not sure what else to try. Please Help
Hi James quite simply it’s to do with your internet connection. On wifi/Ethernet connection where you cctv is go to Speedtest.net and check your upload speed anything less than about 12mbps then you can expect troubles

Hi Chris. Thanks for the excellent video. I have a Hikvision CCTV system with two additional HiLook IPC-T250H cameras. It was all working okay until a couple of weeks ago when one camera went offline. I followed your video through & generally everything checked out okay. After I logged in to the camera itself using its IP address & went to Network>Advanced Settings>Platform Access it says the camera is online. In iVMS-4200 I've added the camera from the list on the bottom of the screen, but it's still showing as offline. Can you offer any guidance at all?
Hi, Am i assuming you have an NVR connected that works fine with cameras but also 2 separate cameras or do you mean you have 2 cameras connected to your DVR? it sounds like you just have an IP related problem. If you can elaborate a little on the set up and try and give me the detail we can guide you and sort it no problem! have you recently upgraded firmware at all? as hik connect no longer supports connections without verification codes now
@@ChargedServices Hi. I don’t have a NVR, I started out with a Hikvision access control system, then added the two (separate) cameras. The cameras have been working fine. They obviously don’t record anything but I can view the feed on Hik-connect. Once I got the IE extension for Chrome I logged into the camera in question with its IP address & I can view the stream. However, I can’t get it to go online in iVMS-4200. To be honest, I haven’t updated the firmware since it was installed in May this year.
@@mxgraphicssupport1245 On the Platform access page, are you showing: HikConnect as the Platform access mode? litedev.eu.hik-connect.com as the server address? In Basic Network settings, Are you using DHCP for the cameras? if not Check your DNS details at the bottom, are they blank? If so thats your problem. If all of that is correct or its all on DHCP. Then Download the Hik-Connect app instead (guessing your using android hence IVMS) go to www.hik-connect.com and choose download the app it will take you to the Hikvision app store instead and download the APK from there and install. Then add your cameras using that app using the serial numbers of the camera. Id suspect its an old IVMS App version and old camera version compatibility issue. Check image encryption settings too as you need that to use Hik connect now.

Hi Chris, That was a good video. However, my problem may be a bit more complex and I am still not able to resolve that. I have added a wireless IP Camera DS-2CV1021G0-IDW1 to my DVR DS-7208HUHI-K2. After I have added the IP camera, I couldn't see the IP Camera on Hik Connect while all other wired cameras worked ok. I was advised to delete the DVR on my Hik Connect and re add it back to refresh. After I did that, the DVR now goes offline. However when I check the Register Status on the Network-Advance Settings-Platform Access, it shows Online. But when I check the Register Status of the IP Camera, it shows Offline. Can you please help?
Hi There, I recently reset my modem/router, since then my dvr has been offline. I have my IPV4 and followed your video from going to cmd ip config, I think everything is correct, or not, but it still won't go online. What am I missing?
Hi Rita, Im going to take a guess that you havent turned on DHCP on your DVR. If you do that in the network screen you and save it you will probably find it updates. Most of the time you are missing DNS and Gateway address on the DVR thats usually where people go wrong. 6:41 on the video re-watch that bit. You may need to click the DHCP box then save it and will likely work for you.
@@ChargedServices Thanks for responding so quickly. The issue with that is when I select DHCP, the IPV4 address and all others just disappear. Thoughts

Btw, when i look with the other camera which is OFF, in the dark, i can see how it is like "shining". Would appreciate it quite a lot mate. Thank you in forward for ur respond. Marko
Hi Unfortunately there is no easy resolution for your problem. You can reset the IP Cameras but it relys on holding down the reset button on the camera inside the SD card case while cycling the power (take out the Ethernet cable hold down the button, instert the RJ45 and keep holding the reset button for around 15 seconds, It will reinitialise the camera and you will need to activate it again using the SADP tool.
Hi can you tell me how to get a camera onto my main Hik-Connect screen not through the nvr but straight from the router please
Then go to Camera Management, your list of cameras will now have an IP address with port number 6500x after them, you can now access all channels by clicking their links or changing from 65001/002 etc etc for each camera.
hi can you tell me how or a way around getting liveview on edge on windows 11 for hikvision cameras all im getting is no liveview
Hi can I ask a question I have the ds 2se7c124iw ae this is a dual camera ptz how do you get both cameras up on hik connect do you give them the same IP address and change camera settings to 2 instead of 1 camera in that address or do you know a different way of doing this
Thanks
I haven’t ever added one of those onto HIK connect direct. I’m assuming that’s what you mean? It should add bit like an NVR as the camera has 2 channels.
If you was adding it to an NVR you would manually configure by IP then choose the relevant channel
Thanks!! Solved 100%
I don’t understand , where did you get that website to input your IP address .
You might be better to watch out other video of how to set up a system from scratch and it will show you how to use the SADP tool which will give you the IP Address of your units. Then you can enter the IP address to your URL bar and you are there.

Thank you. your video helped a lot.
I've got 4 cameras and one of them just keeps going offline. It gets an IP and works, but 48hrs later it goes offline until I unplug the cable and plug it back in. It's wired too on a POE switch and the router hands out IPs to it just fine, statically mapped.
Same here.. Too frustrating!

What puzzles me the most is that this doorbell system was rather expensive.
my door station ds-kv8113-wme1 does not take dhcp and i can not restore it from indoor unit(stocked on one ip) please help.
You need to configure door stations using IVMS for access control. Quick UA-cam or Google search will put you in the right direction
(router battery lasts only about an hour)
IMPORTANT QUESTION - would camera still save a movie on memory card after it loses connection with router?
Yes simply put I have no experience with that camera you mentioned but. So long as the camera is powered and an internal memory card installed it will record
I had a power cut today and hik connect says cameras offline. Any ideas what's wrong please?
thanks mate life saver
Glad it helped

If you have a DVR and the cameras are TVI id suggest you check your compatibility as most of the basic DVR's cannot support 4k on more than channel 1.

hello! I was able to connect to my HIKvision remotely in the past on my web browser and on my phone via iVMS app (I never had an account with HIKvision).
I recently changed routers and I cannot connect HIKvision on anything. I typed the correct IP address on internet explorer and while entering my admin and password, it says "the IP address does not match."
I used the SADP tool which shows the device is online.

Hi!

@@ChargedServices Hi. I don’t have a NVR, I started out with a Hikvision access control system, then added the two (separate) cameras. The cameras have been working fine.
Release the button and allow the camera to complete a restart/reboot.
Hello boss am not sure if you are still around helping solve problems. My hikvision keyboard keeps saying "connect failed" anytime you try to select a camera using the keys. It was working few days ago, but looks like someone's messed about with the IP address or something and now it wouldn't connect
changed Internet providers and nothing works now not even old nvr ip
the sadp app errors after its installed i tried repairing it multiple times

Hi Chris, I found your video so helpful. I am actually having issues with my admin password, especially the one for the cameras. I would appreciate if you can help me to sort this problem out.
I don't have the password for my camera and no matter what I do it still can't connect
And it doesn't let me press neither enable DHCP or enable Hik-vision connect why?
You need to perform a factory reset and reactive the camera. if you are trying to do this using an NVR though you will need an installer in your area to download a file and reset it with Hikvision directly.
Having a problem with my cctv.. there's no camera setting .theres only yellow bar when i select on the left side.theres no option to select
Hy Chris, i was watching your videos about a quite similair situation: We have 6 cameras installed in our house. and all of the sudden, one went offline. i tried to unplugg and replug it etc. but none of it is helping. Now u r mentioning the webpage with all it Settings possibilities. I do not have the admin password. The guy who installed us the cameras (my cousin) is currently off on a buisness trip. Where or how could i get the password to log in? Is there a clue on the package of teh device or something? Btw, when i look with the other camera which is OFF, in the dark, i can see how it is like "shining". Would appreciate it quite a lot mate. Thank you in forward for ur respond. Marko
Hi Unfortunately there is no easy resolution for your problem. You can reset the IP Cameras but it relys on holding down the reset button on the camera inside the SD card case while cycling the power (take out the Ethernet cable hold down the button, instert the RJ45 and keep holding the reset button for around 15 seconds, It will reinitialise the camera and you will need to activate it again using the SADP tool. See our video about how to set it up from scratch and how to do this is in there.
Thank you so much for your hard work
Extremely helpful though i faced the issue of not knowing my administrator password could you please help me ?! I can’t get past that step .
I can’t rewatch - replay. It stops at 23.59 for all three cameras
Hello sir, we have 14 IP cameras but no 10 and no 12 camera is unable to show live video. It shows error -live video faild..please guide me
Hi Chris, I just got a new router and am offline. I don't remember my admin password and need some help.
Thank you!
Hi, could you please help to reset administrator password, I don't remember it and can't recover. Thanks!
This will need to be done via a registered installer in your country. Best bet might be to seek a HikVision reseller where you are based and they can assist you
My device is still offline too - can you help please? (
Same
@@NoahsMissus so I found my mistake. I bought WiFi camera, but it can connect to the Hik-Connect only with cable. For WiFi connection I need to buy NVR
