JBL is twice as powerful and has a really window shaking bass if you have a small apartment. I like Marshall sound , seems to be more clear in mid and high. Marshall needs to build something bigger and stronger with a big subwoofer to beat JBL

JBL is too forced and the Marshall is far more clear and detailed, the JBL has far to much mud muffle and darker sonics in the low end where as the Woburn mids are spotless and balanced. JBL seems to focuses on power with poor quality on sound. Woburn is just superior in my opinion.
Marshall sounds more softly for me. If marshall had had a wifi connection i would have chosen exactly marshall despite having only 1/3 of jbl power. Wonder about a jbl bass potential Upd. Discovered that marshall is 150w, not 90w. It makes choice even harder

You don't understand music or maybe you are just gen z. JBL sounds like a cheap speaker with overdone highs and really really overdone bass. Marshall sounds balanced, the sound separation and the soundstage is amazing on those, you have to listen to both of those right in front of you understand how superior those Marshall speakers are.

My personal opinion. JBL sound much better. I can feel the energy JBL . But Marshall I feel laidback style, feels no motivation.
JBL is killing Marshall on faster speakers and upgraded tech but I find Marshall bass still more pleasing and deeper. Just that one thing!

The JBL sounded more forward and hit a lot harder. The Marshall was more laid back. It just depends on what you like. I preferred the JBL.
