Of course. But if your pre rinse step are to short and not efficient, then caustic solution take back remainings which are stay after pr rinse step. In this case you must often monitor conductivity in the caustic tank and clarity of solution. Just saw that this was never answered. Yes, we reclaim a certain amount of the caustic wash that meets the right conductivity parameters. This fluid is often used in the next cycle's pre-rinse to help aide in organic material breakdown, shortening cleaning times and reducing chemical usage.
