We all know the answer to that DODGE because apparently they don’t know how to install a useful security system I guess they used all the budget on an engine and couldn’t spare it on anything else 🤣
Best way to prevent theft is actually to install a fuel pump switch that cuts power to the fuel pump. U hide the switch and engage it when u want to drive. A battery switch also works but is less convenient as it resets all ur radio stuff etc
Haha, thanks. Yes I see the popularity is not high today on views but it is a real important one as we tie up a lot of money in these vehicles and it’s good to protect our investment.
I got a 2002 lexus rx300 after my kia was stolen in January. The kia was found only 2 miles away with very little damage besides the windshield and steering column tore up. But now im kinda worried about my lexus after watching this video. Hopefully the older lexus's are not as desirable. My kia was stolen solely for a quick joyride and it was easy pickings. I live in arizona whee mexico is only a 1.5 hour drive down I-19, hopefully my 2002 lexus isnt worth the trouble to the thieves who actually want to make money off of their thievary. I put a wheel lock on now to prevent the petty car thieves from taking it for a spin, wont stop the 'professionals' from towing it away tho.
A lot of Hondas Toyotas and Lexuses shows car thieves know whats good my 1997 Toyota Hilux has a couple of features you pointed out no ebd port its manual and to get to the ignition switch its in the dash board and if you don't know how to remove the dash board if uou do it will take you half an hour we had a Ford festiva stolen had an imomoblliser but the thiefs stole it but they when the Police stopped them it had not been reported yet but we got it back with a smashed dteering lock and a bent drivers door we got some of it fixed up but not the door we traded it in not long after
If you were to say, "I love the look of this vehicle" instead of "This vehicle is beautiful," which statement do you think will bring more argument? For example, you said the Accord was "beautiful" and I completely disagree so should I say, "It's ugly" or "*I* don't like the look of the Accord"?
the Accord does look beautiful. Especially in the color white or black. But yeah sometimes he'll say cards are beautiful but they're ugly but for this one I think it's beautiful. And I don't even like Honda vehicles
I watched a British video...the thief who was bekng a good guy defeated a sgeerkng wheel lock in short order. Cars with push button start...keep the FOB/KEY in a Faraday pouch. My Tundra and other models of Toyota if you press lock and unlock twice on the FOB...it quits broadcasting the RF SIGNAL. This will also prolong battery life in your FOB.
I have the magical f350 power stroke from 97 - if you don’t know, everyone wants this truck, it’s the “million mile engine” - plus because it’s not new you don’t need to add that diesel additive that sounds crappy. I know if I hadn’t installed the lock it would be gone. Zero doubt, I even caught some of the roaches one night very late with my benz’s Uber-bright high beams. Weasel bastards. Steering wheel locks work, people!
Get a Jag or Maserati this way the car will break down before the thieves can get to the end of your street.
Haha, a Kia owner would have no issues with theft
Or a Hot V Bimmer??
Uhh Oh!!
👁-👁 👀 👀 👀😂😂😂
So true
😂😂😂😂😂
Yes or a 650 i bmw I know I own one can’t get it stolen 😊
The man parking behind the tree probably wanted it stolen 🤔
Haha, agreed

True, poor design
Lol it's a dodge...you buy it for the hemi and install everything else yourself.
Nobody is interested with my Nissan Note, I once forgot to lock it several times in London and still found it untouched 😂😂😂
There is always a silver lining.
Thanks for this video here in New Mexico car theft and catalytic converters theft are a huge problem.
I love your sense of homer

It does help when you install low jack on your vehicle or or an engine kill switch
I am guessing that the jeep and the GMC are stolen with a tow truck, just in case they breakdown.
Haha

Are you referring to thefts in Canada or the US or both? thanks!
Both, stats I pulled were Canadian specific but I also confirmed the US stats were similar in percentages by vehicle but a little more region specific
Who steals a GM product?? 🤯 Like really. If I'm going to jail for stealing a car it's going to be a 4Runner or Land Cruiser. 😆
I would guess someone who has more self-respect than to steal a Ford product!

I do use a steering wheel lock, only because I'm hoping the would be thief will think the extra few minutes of time is not worth it.

Car thieves deserve a tracking device planted. To many cases of we cannot find the vehicle....
