I’m an artist so I’m biased, but art contests sound like a great idea!! There’s a bunch of random giveaways and they’re great but it feels like entering the lottery, lol, but I feel like I have more control over an art contest! Like I’d actually feel happy winning because I know it was because of my efforts. You’d also be getting some art, which never hurts lol
I prefer art contests, they sound more fun in my opinion. I like the idea of creating something and you choose the one you like best, rather than you picking someone at random as the winner 😅
Although I do agree, you're leaving a lot of people out of it because a lot of people don't have the skills for that kind of thing. You'd have to know your fanbase very well to know that there would be enough good artists that it would be a good contest.
I have a hybrid idea that I used to do for my giveaways! 🎨✨ I think what you could do is have an art contest where you choose a prompt and have us draw it! Then once people send their stuff in you can choose your favorite submissions and put them on a wheel. You can then spin that wheel and do whoever gets chosen gets a figure. This makes it easy/efficient for once you select the submissions to continuously spin. You can host several art contests and just keep adding onto the wheel! You can spin the wheel on a livestream or do community posts! That’s just the general, you could definitely add to it or edit it! When I did giveaways I always did something like this! It creates somewhat of a pity system for people who are consistently participating with good work! ✨
The art competition you held was a super fine idea! I wasn’t able to join unfortunately but the whole idea was so fun! Maybe you could do one for people who have other artsy hobbies, like sculptures or crochet! (I’d love to crochet your character one day tbh 🙏)
I while ago I saw a vtuber do a contest for their Halloween vtuber design and I thought it was really cool!, I think that an outfit design contest for ur vtuber would be a really fun idea and has the possibility to be something more interactive for ur content. But, i imagine doing something special for every one of your giveaways will probably get exhausting, especially going through all the submissions; so if you’re planning to do a lot of giveaways, maybe you should throw in a couple of randomly selected ones as well.
Art contests are lowkey fun but I guess like doing those forms where it chooses a person at random can also be kind of fun (like the feeling of not knowing if it’s gonna be you or not) sooosksksksj yeah
And being limited to art contest really lowers the amount of people that could win realistically because how many people following this channel are going to have artistic talent? I certainly don't.
OMG YEAAAHHHH I AGREE. I feel like more ppl could join in if they made like a base for everyone to use and to draw the outfit on it, as most people can at least draw general clothing! THEY SHOULD DEFFO DO THISSS
I think art contests are always good, and regular giveaways are nice for people with less art skill. I'm glad you seem a bit happier and are hoping to keep growing- I think the mindset of like, "yeah I am more prone to experiencing and being affected by intense emotions, and I should be easy on myself" while not using it as an excuse or ignoring the consequences it might have is good (as someone who also has some intense mood swings due to mental health/being neurodivergent) Make sure to take breaks when you need it!! I find I always feel the worst when I end up burnt out on top of other stuff
Hihi! I really appreciate your takes in this video. Recognizing your issues is very mature and a good thing to do. I think the art comp you're doing is a great idea for giving away figures (I really enjoyed making my submission LOL) but I also think a good idea would be like a randomizer type thing. Like a wheel of people who volunteered, and pick randomly between them on like a video or a stream could be fun. I see people down here in the comments talking like prompt art comps, which would also be really fun and I'd love to participate. I also do really like the style of this video, it's very raw and feels real, and it's very refreshing to see in the current youtube landscape. I'll definitely be here for any new videos you plan on making ! Sending hugs, hope you're doing okay :3
Actually just discovered your channel from the video about the new nendoroid boxes. I agree that an art contest sounds good! Though random is also fine.
Hey Kayozia! I love your style of tangent-y videos, and I find that I relate to you a lot. I'm also an artist who struggles with bipolar, so watching this video really did hit close to home. When it comes to the giveaways, I find that it always works best to advertise the giveaway in places like UA-cam, but doing the official giveaway in a place that has private DMs (like the way you're doing it now, with the most recent giveaway.) As for types of giveaways, I think that art giveaways are the way to go, it matches your content and follower-base better. I'm so excited for your debut! I hope you continue to get better!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about your anxiety and diagnosis, I feel like I rarely see VTubers openly post something like this, despite it being quite important and reassuring to hear. Wish you the best of luck in achieving your goals. Speaking of giwaways, I feel like the competition you held before was a great idea. And, quite frankly, art contests are just really fun in general. Maybe you could theme them a bit more, for example make a keychain art contest or an outfit/redesign contest for your VTuber!! Actually the last one would be hype. Also aaaah, maybe an animation contest? Like, a short 3-5 second gif. That could be fun too. Another suggestion is a free-to-enter vannila raffle for people who don't like drawing contests, it is way more randomized and a lot of more people can join. You could make an Instagram post or something and select from comments under there.
I hope I'm not too late, but I think maybe the most creative comment or aart contest where u draw the character u want the nendroid off, or maybe a quiz about the character and the people who get the most right will then do another quiz until ones chosen!
i tried to write a long comment saying that im proud of you but it looks like my internets to bad and it didnt comment so: im REALLY proud of you, i know people/ have experienced pretty much everything you mentioned and im so proud of you for acknowledging it and also talking about it, i can tell your trying your best and im so proud of you for that!
I liked the art contest idea, I think it would be a fun idea to do a redesign of your vtuber contest, or some other art challenge. I also think a “draw this in your style” would be good since it gives a general idea of what to draw, the style of the art just changes artist to artist. Designing new outfits for your characters could also be a fun idea!
Okay, so Contests! Maybe new outfit design contest since there was already an art contest Just random giveaways like maybe supporting small artists? Follow small artists to join and comment. And i can’t think of more 😞
Def outfit contests, similar on how they pick the winter miku design each year (i think)! you can choose prompts you want and then at like a live stream go through the ones you love or do it in private and then annouce it on social media!
art contests are fun!! you could do specific themes like the last one based on holidays or events, but random picking like a wheel could allow for other people who aren’t artists to participate as well💖
i think it would be cool to do a contest where people create comic strips and send them to you, and you can either pick your favourites or spin a wheel for the participants! 😼 i really enjoyed the concept of your last contest even though i didnt get to join 😭😭 ur art is super adorable!!
I have three ideas! 1) redesign ur vtuber art contest. 🎨 2)sticker design art contest and ship the stickers with the figures.🎨 3) a guessing game where we have to answer a trivia about you.❓
Honestly, thank you for sharing your thoughts like this! I'm also incredibly impulsive with figurines and I feel like I never see other collectors openly talking about that kind of feeling with collecting. I really struggle with impulsivity when it comes to collecting and really do feel like I buy things to make myself feel better rather than because I truly want them, it makes it hard for me to properly save money... It's really nice to hear your similar experiences, you're openly speaking about your thoughts and how you're trying to improve things in your life that you're not super happy with, I appreciate it!
A few years ago I also had a similar revelation that my collection felt more like hoarding and it made me really self reflect, too. My big thing was Pokémon, mostly figures and retro collectibles, and I felt like I was buying ANYTHING just to have it without any real thought. Now my collection has been in boxes for 5 years I’m unable to get rid of it but I’m glad I stopped. My biggest growth was focusing my collection habits on very a very specific thing: retro horror games for the ps2, which I already had a lot of and I have grails I save up for and it feels like a reward to get new items instead of just buying to buy.
I really like the art contest style, I think it’s a great way to promote creativity and let people improve their skills while getting a chance to win something (I personally learned a lot while making an entry for the contest!!) you could maybe try different themes for it, like draw a steampunk version of your character for example. I appreciate it being through e-mail too, it makes it accessible for many people. Also I love Teto please, she’s been my fav vocaloid for years now
I been collecting since 2013! From 2019-2022 I went on a figure hiatus and I returned back in 2023. For me, I started enjoying figure collecting again when I made UA-cam videos reviewing my figures! I am learning skills like video editing and graphic design that I can leverage at work!
i think it could be fun to have an art contest themed to be something like a new outfit design for your vtuber with the winner being the one you like the most. maybe getting something out of it for yourself could help ease the anxiety of having to part with figures, or at least that helps me with getting rid of stuff i've been hoarding.
I'd say whatever you feel comfortable with regarding giveaways since alot do giveaway with the gleam, or via their social media accounts . But there's chances of there being bots or whatever so whichever works for you. I love teito and regreted to this day that I canceled her when she was up for preorder 😢
Personally, I think art contests or some other contests are cool! Still, this does excluded a lot of people so you could do some sort of interactive activity when you livestream! :D
I really like the contests where you create something and win based on the work you put in instead of winning based on luck so I really enjoyed your art contest! I think more giveaways where it challenges the viewer to create something are really helpful because, at least for me, it helped me try something new and helped my art skills develop which has more meaning than a luck-based contest. I think that more creative-based contests are good but maybe change the medium - design a sticker, create an animation, sculpture, or photography - so that it reaches a wide audience and many people have an opportunity to show off the skills that they have developed. You could also use a different theme such as an art contest based on the season or an aesthetic! I really liked your message in this video and how you were able to reflect on yourself as a person (something everyone needs to do) ❤❤
Doing a giveaway would be really nice! As for how to do it you can always dm the winner to fill out the form! I really hope that you can find a way that makes it less stressful for you 💜 Wishing you luck and everyone who interested in joining!
I have a bunch of ideas. For my idea i think you can make a contest for 1.) scavenger hunt, like posting clues on your website or social media and whoever finds all the answers wins 2.) Make a merch 3.) Make an outfit design for your OC 4.) Make a slogan for your channel 5.) Make a pin of your OC 6.) writing contest, like make a short story Btw i cant wait to see which idea you'll choose
Irl creation contest?? Low-key would be cool to see papercraft, clay and crocheting people in the same competition. Or a mixed media photography contest with an artwork of your character.
art contests are honestly the way to go in my opinion. maybe you could do a "draw this in your style" competition, either with your vtuber model, or a vocaloid/utau character or just any character
Outfit contests are a lot of fun! I know contests for me are often something I use to help get out of art block and the added prize would definitely be sufficient motivation. It also help to find new artists to connect and improve with.
tbh i believe an outfit contest sounds super cool! I see everyone always do art contest but I’ve personally never have seen an outfit one it sounds like such a cute idea as if your a barbie doll and people are dressing you up!
Art contest are fun, I love them. I think a suggestion could be there's different categories for people that they go in, you can choose the ones you like from those maybe spin a wheel for them too?
I think in terms of setting up giveaways, google forms and discord are some really good ways to do it OUTSIDE of art contests. It would help a lot with the form/address issue if you used google forms because then you can just ask for all of the info there. And with google forms you could just number the entries and pick a number on a random wheel spin or something. Then you could just have a different google form to send to winners on discord! Discord has a lot of bots and stuff for giveaways. Im pretty sure one is literally called giveaway bot where all people have to do is react to the giveaway they want to enter and you set the date and time, then the bot does the rest of the work, I'm pretty sure it even does the announcment of the winners on its own after the fact.
I think an art contest would be fun but maybe a specific kind? An icon or banner design contest! Also this video was relatable, except with keychains, i always have this irrational urge to complete the sets i started...
I think a good amount of your viewers here are in the collecting hobby. And some of them might have their own ways to prevent their hobby of getting out of hand. So, In order to stick with your goal about helping others improve themselves: how about a contest where everyone shares their experiences and techniques on dealing with the bad habits of collecting. And you can pick the one that’s the most helpful as the giveaway winner. Now handover the Kasene Teto
You could always use a variety of methods, like how people mention an art contest, raffles, spin the wheel, etc! Swapping between them can help a variety of people participate and have a chance.
While i love drawing and wish i couldve joined (im burnt out and didnt know if there was a age limit), i like wheels more. It gives everyone a fair chance! People that really want these figures may not do art at all, let alone digital art, so it kinda restricts who can join. Another reason i dont really like art contests is because it should be a unbaised desicion, but sometimes creators may favor certain artstyles over others. (Just to clarify, i am not acusing you of this, its just some, not all) But, thats just some random person onlines opinion, so do whichever you want! :] 🧡💙🩵💛
I really wanted to join the previous contest (due yesterday). I was drawing, but then my 7 year old iPad went out on me so I tried using programs on my laptop but all of them either had a certain time limit to how long you can use it without paying or they didn’t save my progress so I just let it be. I wish I could’ve still joined, but hopefully I can join one of your contests if you choose to still go on doing them in the future!!
I think the best way for giveaways is like design for outfit or pins so people with maybe not the best in the arts can still do the contest because its more on the design and not the art skills!!!!! :) (btw sorry you had to go through that and I hope your doing ok)
i agree with the other comments saying the art contest style, creative submissions r always fun, lol, but you can always do trivia style, the normal spin the wheel, or a mashup of any of the ways, so honestly its just what you find most fun and not too much of a hassle.
I really enjoy the art contest idea. I wasn’t able to participate in the last one, but I think the art contest style is sort of a really great win-win situation. You get tons of great art, the artist gets figures + exposure!
Honestly, my favorite giveaway/contest methods are definitely art contests. Plus who doesn't like receiving fanart. I like the idea of you picking your favorite art piece out of all the contest entries you get rather than someone to be picked randomly.
I really like the art contest way of giving away figures because it tends to get me to actually pick up the pen and paper especially if I’ve been art blocked for a while, as an alternative there’s the randomized winner option. I think a really cool way (but it would require more time) would be some kind of puzzle that viewers could solve and the first to solve would win the figure
I think a good idea that would also help bring out your personality and “character” would be to do fan contests not specific to illustrations, like art, fan fiction, music, etc. It would give you a LOT of free fan work and I think everyone would be really happy to be chosen because you like their work and not just being a random pick
Edit: I liked the art contest a lot however if it’s weighing on you a lot then picking commenters is definitely a faster way of doing things I’ve gotten addicted to shopping before, I always have a tab open for Mercari open on my pc and just add things to my cart and try to wait at least a few days. I once bought a nendo of a vtuber that I didnt even really want and he turned out to be a pos and I’ve just stored it away cause when I look at it I hate myself erm
i think a really fun way would be to draw the character that the figure you’re giving away is! it would be fun to draw a character you really like and have the chance to win the characters figure and it would kinda make it so you would only get people who actually like the character to get the figure! edit: another way is that you could try to find some of your subscribers who have posted art videos and try to make little boxes with the characters they’ve animated or drawn
I found your channel recently but all you said pretty much hit close to home. Emotional energy is a finite resource above many things, so we should treasure it as we can best.
Any art contest is always a good idea! wether it's design or just illustrations. I had a lot of fun drawing your model + I feel like it ties the community together! 🙆🙆
Art contests personally are the most fun. I havent won the last one, but i love art contests! You give lots of you for something. Thats amazing. People who cant draw can always learn lol
I think doing an art contest where’s it’s “draw my oc in an occupation” would be super fun! Contestants draw your OC in an occupation, uniform and all!
Art contests do sound cool. I'm not really super good with art but I love seeing people's creativity flow. Maybe art contests based around the character the figure is based on? Also your perspective on figure collecting is totally valid! Hobbies don't last forever and it's healthy to move on and change how you engage with them
think you can record your voice while telling your memories and then you can ask them to convert the sound you recorded into animation.(I saw a lot of people in my country do it and i thought it was fun)
I do like the art contest idea you had for your first figure giveaway. I imagine that is easier to keep track of than youtube comments and a random number generator, but I know people have been doing youtube giveaways through the comments for years so this also works! You could also limit things to subscribers and have a google form to fill out so there's a slight barrier to entry and you don't get bots or scalpers as often. It also doesn't require quite as much work as an art contest potentially has.
this video was really interesting to watch, as i'm sort of going through a similar thing (not with figure collecting, but with wanting to change myself for the better). mental illness really does make things so much more complicated and tough to work through. but we'll get there eventually, especially if we're trying super hard :) in terms of a giveaway format, i personally like the idea of making an art piece to enter, but having the actual drawing be random. that way it makes it so you have to put in some effort to participate but everyone still gets a fair chance regardless of skill. and you get a bunch of cute art out of it and ppl might discover new artists they like!! hope this helps :) and i hope things get better and a bit clearer for you soon. 💕💕💕
What about an art contest about the favorite figurine somebody owns? It would be a cute way to show it off or highlight something that person really loves about that figure ❤
Art contests are very cool and I love them dearly, but it’s true that amateur artists and those with less popular art styles don’t win them as often. I’ve known people who find that kind of thing really discouraging. But at the same time, random contests are just… well, random. There’s no extra effort you can put in to get a higher chance of winning. I’ve done a lot of art raffles on ToyHouse, and I’ve entered so many more, and people usually have a “ticket” system, where you do multiple things to get more entries. I’ve also seen ones where to get a single entry, you draw something. So those are essentially fanart contests but instead of the winner being chosen by how much the creator liked the pieces, it’s random, and everyone who enters gets the same chance. You could always do one of those! There’s lots of pros and cons to these things in general, haha. It’s difficult to decide.
Appreciate your hard takes about topics you have at times, not for all but it’s refreshing every now and then, especially about things people avoid discussing. Giveaways are can be a tough nut to crack but like others mentioned, perhaps a combo of art contests and something like reshares/comments (semi-high effort like tagging friends+sub/follow + a emoji requirement/mini quip of why) on socials for randomized giveaways. Finding your channel was a delightful surprise, I’m enjoying your art and content loads! ❤
I think both art contests and normal contests for ppl who aren’t that interested in art are both rlly good !! for art contests u could ask for different types of art maybe a sticker sheet contest or an outfit designing contest! And there could be a variety of diff things to draw to hopefully win and for normal non-art contests maybe u could do a random picking/spinning the wheel or maybe trivia quizzes :0
Honestly, it was really nice to hear a video like this (even thought it may have been all over the place lol) it helps bring attention to things that may or may not have been really recognized in the health aspect yknow? Excited to see your debut in December and hope it goes well 🙏 (Giveaway idea: Genuinely loved the art contest idea and that does seem like a nice way to do it but maybe mixed around with some other possibly just random pick giveaways due to not everyone either having time/ability or just in general the bravery to show off their art? If that makes sense at all. So possibly even like, picking from comments like this video, or some such way)
I remember i once joined a dtiys that had a random winner. Basically the host would js put all the people that joined in a random wheel and the person who won would be the giveway winner lol (pretty simple). You could do smth similar maybe? But since it's yt you could ask ppl to sumbit their entries into a google form and maybe e-mail them or reach out through other socials to let them know they won? You could also announce it at the start or end of a video! I think a google form generally works well for giveaways even without an art contest :P
Finding ways to involve your community would be a great way to give away your figures. As a lot of people have been saying: art contests!! You could also host some kind of events; either games or something on livestreams! Since you mention you want to spend more time on personal growth, it may be also fun to motivate your audience to do the same by having them do the things they are passionate about. It doesn't have to be about who is the best or something like that, so randomizing it can be a way to overcome that! Also, this video format of being just honest about your feelings is wonderful to see. I'm certain a lot of people can relate with it, so just do whatever feels right for you! Looking forward to more videos :)
You could have people comment what hobbies they have so we can all share our interests! Like drawing / writing / sculpting, playing a sport / instrument / video games, reading, learning. Stuff like that :) For instance, I love writing, video games and I'm trying to get back into reading and I'd also love if people could drop some fun language learning recs! (other than Duolingo 😅) I'm glad you've taken the time to think about what really makes you happy and practicing being more mindful with your purchases, it's a good habit that will save your money and it means the things you do collect will be more deliberate and bring you joy :)
personally, I don't like when a giveaway is an art contest. Mostly because I'm not an artist so when there's an art contest for a giveaway, I can't participate in the giveaway. I understand it though for you, especially since you are an artist. I feel like another alternative could be picking a random follower. I know that's pretty lazy but I think it could be a good idea so that non-artists can participate as well.
I love that you've been trying to involve all of us who watch you and follow you for your art in this process and even in your own personal growth! My little sister is 14 and both her and me love you and your art! We both wish you the best and love to see what you create! Wishing you all the best and I hope that your first stream is a hit!
I think if collecting doesn't bring you joy, you maybe should buy less and think more about every figure. In my case I like to watch my shelf and remember the great stories I experienced throgh videogames, movies, series and even remember great moments of my own life, friends and family. I recommend you to focus on "why do you want to buy that figure", it has worked for me more than one time to reduce buyers guilt. Just an advice I come up right now. Greetings.
This video was really cozy !! As for giveaways I think a mix of art contests and random draws would keep things interesting. Instagram or discord would be a good place to host them^^
I love art contests but I think it would be fun to have different art forms more than just traditional and digital visual arts more crafty ideas such as sculpting, crocheting, stuff like that just seems like a contest with different styles would be more broad for people’s creative sides! Randomizers are fun aswell! Like wheels or a hat drawing is always dramatic and entertaining aswell with the suspense of the winner in all good fun!! 🩵💙
I think that art contests are really fun !! I loved drawing for yours 💗💗 but picking random like this is also cool :3 anyway I hope you will heal and I think that really strong for giving it really 💗
Haha I love how your skin tone is a perfect match to your 2d model and the nails are also perfectly thematic to her colour scheme. Anyway, I think an outfit design contest would be a super fun way giveaway incentive--or really anything that encourages audience participation rather than an arbitrary raffle (a mix of both would be nice, however 👀) Also, love how we had to send the art contest submissions through email, no pressure to post on socialmedia!
echoing a lot of ppl here, but art contests are always fun! and ofc different kinds specialising on something like animation, or outfit design or even crafting.
You could also try to do multiple small giveaways. If you're unsure about how to do the giveaway maybe you can collect some ideas through a form (like art contest, writing contest, design contest, photo contest, cosplay contest, sing contest etc.) and put those in an online spinning wheel. The one it lands on is the contest that can be held and people can enter their piece. I also think it's really great of you to explore what truly makes you feel happy and as a collector myself...I absolutely feel the FOMO lol.
You already had one art contest but the entires were super fun and I enjoy seeing other beautiful fanarts for you! But I also think you could do a challenge like a photo contest or a quiz on your OC's lore or something like that!!! Either way I love your channel and I hope you continue to grow!! 💕💕💕
i think art/design contests would be fun, or having little mini games like a guess the silhouette. I like these kinds of ramble videos, they're relaxing to listen to!
Discovered you from your vid on the new nendo boxes and enjoyed your commentary! Glad to see you're taking steps towards a lifestyle you can be happier with.
Art contests are definitely a fun way, it can be a contest where you have to draw the character that is being given away in your own style. But of course for people that don't draw usually it would be more difficult to win, so maybe it could be a cool idea that giveaways alternate between art contest and randomized 😳
Art contests, raffles, guess the number from 1-0, try and correctly answer your favourite things, spin the wheel, infact i thing you should do figurine giveaways for those who buy from your store! :3
I think what you could do is have an art contest where you choose a prompt and have us draw it!
That sounds super good imo, js think it would need another way to rank it.. as it can be hard to rate a sculpture vs digital art yk? But i agree
I while ago I saw a vtuber do a contest for their Halloween vtuber design and I thought it was really cool!, I think that an outfit design contest for ur vtuber would be a really fun idea and has the possibility to be something more interactive for ur content. And being limited to art contest really lowers the amount of people that could win realistically because how many people following this channel are going to have artistic talent? I certainly don't.
This!
i feel like outfit contest designs could be fun! like people draw u like a doll that everyone gets to dress up and stuff
OMG YEAAAHHHH I AGREE. I feel like more ppl could join in if they made like a base for everyone to use and to draw the outfit on it, as most people can at least draw general clothing! THEY SHOULD DEFFO DO THISSS
@@Vadelmanniim negl i might do this more for myself 😭
i do like art contests but i know not everyone can be artistic so i think it would be cool for a spin the wheel

When it comes to the giveaways, I find that it always works best to advertise the giveaway in places like UA-cam, but doing the official giveaway in a place that has private DMs (like the way you're doing it now, with the most recent giveaway.)
As for types of giveaways, I think that art giveaways are the way to go, it matches your content and follower-base better.
You could host a live competition since you do livestreams. It could be a live drawing competition, or a game were the winner gets selected!
I hope I'm not too late, but I think maybe the most creative comment or aart contest where u draw the character u want the nendroid off, or maybe a quiz about the character and the people who get the most right will then do another quiz until ones chosen!
i tried to write a long comment saying that im proud of you but it looks like my internets to bad and it didnt comment so:
im REALLY proud of you, i know people/ have experienced pretty much everything you mentioned and im so proud of you for acknowledging it and also talking about it, i can tell your trying your best and im so proud of you for that!
My idea is that , since you create Miku keychains I think that the contest should be that everyone disigns an idea for a keychain
Okay, so
Contests! Maybe new outfit design contest since there was already an art contest
Just random giveaways like maybe supporting small artists?
2)sticker design art contest and ship the stickers with the figures.🎨
3) a guessing game where we have to answer a trivia about you.❓
the third one is such a good idea tbh
@@Therealestfrogever I concur. I like that idea.
I really enjoyed participating in the art contest and would love if you did something similar again in the future tbh!
I love the idea of an outfit design contest :3
i think it could be fun to have an art contest themed to be something like a new outfit design for your vtuber with the winner being the one you like the most. maybe getting something out of it for yourself could help ease the anxiety of having to part with figures, or at least that helps me with getting rid of stuff i've been hoarding.
I really hope that you can find a way that makes it less stressful for you 💜
Wishing you luck and everyone who interested in joining!
I have a bunch of ideas. For my idea i think you can make a contest for
1.) scavenger hunt, like posting clues on your website or social media and whoever finds all the answers wins
2.) Make a merch
3.) Make an outfit design for your OC
4.) Make a slogan for your channel
5.) Make a pin of your OC
6.) writing contest, like make a short story
Btw i cant wait to see which idea you'll choose
I do the same thing. buying 2 copies, and basically figure hoarding
you gave me a lot to think about lol
I see everyone always do art contest but I’ve personally never have seen an outfit one it sounds like such a cute idea as if your a barbie doll and people are dressing you up!
i love the idea of having followers submit drawings of a prompt or list of prompts of your choice, and place every entry on a wheel!
Also you could sometimes sell them too! As a new collector and from latam is kinda hard buying since not many ship to here 😢
I think an art contest would be fun but maybe a specific kind? An icon or banner design contest!
Also this video was relatable, except with keychains, i always have this irrational urge to complete the sets i started...
One of the only Videos, in the last months, i managed to watch without spacing out and actually got up after to work out a bit :)
I think art contests are the best! It sparks creativity and I think it’s pretty rewarding for the winner other than just winning by luck ^^
An art contest sounds like a great idea actually its a win win for everybody and as a bonus someone will a figure!
Edit: I liked the art contest a lot however if it’s weighing on you a lot then picking commenters is definitely a faster way of doing things
I’ve gotten addicted to shopping before, I always have a tab open for Mercari open on my pc and just add things to my cart and try to wait at least a few days.
Contestants draw your OC in an occupation, uniform and all!
i really enjoyed art contests! your bundle idea in the last one was so genius, I think you should so reuse it
Art contests do sound cool.
It also doesn't require quite as much work as an art contest potentially has.
this video was really interesting to watch, as i'm sort of going through a similar thing (not with figure collecting, but with wanting to change myself for the better). mental illness really does make things so much more complicated and tough to work through. but we'll get there eventually, especially if we're trying super hard :)
in terms of a giveaway format, i personally like the idea of making an art piece to enter, but having the actual drawing be random. that way it makes it so you have to put in some effort to participate but everyone still gets a fair chance regardless of skill. and you get a bunch of cute art out of it and ppl might discover new artists they like!! hope this helps :) and i hope things get better and a bit clearer for you soon.
Seeing the other comments, definitely an outfit contest would be super cool especially if it has a theme! 💚
An art contest would be very cool !! I'd prefer it over picking randomly.
Excited to see your debut in December and hope it goes well 🙏
(Giveaway idea: Genuinely loved the art contest idea and that does seem like a nice way to do it but maybe mixed around with some other possibly just random pick giveaways due to not everyone either having time/ability or just in general the bravery to show off their art? If that makes sense at all. So possibly even like, picking from comments like this video, or some such way)
I remember i once joined a dtiys that had a random winner. Basically the host would js put all the people that joined in a random wheel and the person who won would be the giveway winner lol (pretty simple). You could do smth similar maybe? But since it's yt you could ask ppl to sumbit their entries into a google form and maybe e-mail them or reach out through other socials to let them know they won? You could also announce it at the start or end of a video!
I think a google form generally works well for giveaways even without an art contest :P
Also i wanna say that i put this as bg noise while sewing and it was very entertaining so yeah lol
glad you’re taking this step forward
Art contests totally sound likea good, reliable idea!
Loved listening to you talking about your life, you're a great inspiration!
Stuff like that :)
For instance, I love writing, video games and I'm trying to get back into reading and I'd also love if people could drop some fun language learning recs! (other than Duolingo 😅)
I'm glad you've taken the time to think about what really makes you happy and practicing being more mindful with your purchases, it's a good habit that will save your money and it means the things you do collect will be more deliberate and bring you joy :)
personally, I don't like when a giveaway is an art contest.
I hope you can be the person you wish to be, change can be hard. I want to wish you the best! 💪✨
something more universal, like fun raffles, spin the wheels, etc is definitely the way to go!
echoing a lot of ppl here, but art contests are always fun! and ofc different kinds specialising on something like animation, or outfit design or even crafting.
I definitely think an art contest is the way to go! Maybe different prompts for different figures?
A character design contest? Like, your vtuber character in a seasonal fall winter or summer outfit? ❤
I like it when its using a wheel or a random comment picker cause it means that eveyone has the same chance
