Speedriding Gaustatoppen 🇳🇴

From 2015 Gaustatoppen has been my backyard and playground for speedriding. Finally, got the time for making this speedriding video from this very beautiful Norwegian mountain, 1883 meters above sea level, giving spectacular view across south part of Norway.
Video clips are mainly from 2019 to 2021, showing variations in time, conditions, equipment and video / HD. Giving you some ideas of possibilities around. (All action clips are in 1:1 speed for those who are in doubt).
Strong memories, especially from previous speedflying friends, some not here anymore ❤️

For the ascent you typically choose your rando skis or the Gaustabanen @gaustabanen8406 Well at the top, if needed..., friendly people from DNT Gaustatoppen Turisthytte welcome you with their famous waffles and more.
Gaustatoppen is the highest mountain in Telemark and Vestfold, but because of that, it is very wind exposed, meaning the snow (and wind...) conditions is not always perfect, but if you are lucky, you will not forget! A place for memories to develop, either in nice or horrible weather. A mountain which easily become your friend if you do any type of mountain sport. Choose your day either skiing, speedriding or paragliding!

How did you even begin learning how to do this??

Hey! In Norway this sport is regulated as in most countries. You need a licence, meaning, to get insurance you need to do your beginner flights through a club / go through a certified training program. I did this 8 years ago. You don't need any flight experience before course entry, but it's advisable to have some ski experience though! :)
