When you pointed to the five points the arcs made on the circle my mind was blown. I need to make some stars for some wedding decorations and this will be sooo much better than trial and error. Thank you!!!
thanks my man! engineering student here and the instructions and illustrations given to us were a bit vague. but thankfully it was the exact same as yours. This video helped very much, liked video
Thanks so much! This video honestly saved me because i suck at making stars and i was trying to make a card for Christmas for my whole family and it saved me alot of time, it took me like 2 minutes compared to probably 20 minutes of straight drawing random stars to make a perfect one, and then giving up in the end 😂
Thank you for the wonderful video... You are amazing, fabulous, fantastic..... I like your way of explaining the things... Love from India... Thanks once again.
I'm a blacksmith and couldn't for the life of me remember the process since I haven't done this since my schooling days 30 years ago haha thanks for the refresher
I'm carving a star for the tree out of a bit of oak I've been saving, and you've just allowed me to do it with maybe a smidge of accuracy😂 thanks very much bud! Liked and subscribed and all that good stuff!
This is so soothing, finally I can draw a decent star :D I miss my rotring fine tip I haven't been able to get my hands on one :c there's only the refillable ones
I see you have been doing this for a long time. I like your style and your approach to your art and your videos. I'd love to ask you a few questions as a new you tuber who just began doing something similar.
Hey! Just wanted to comment specifically to say thank you for this! I didn't want to trace a star once again and wanted to attempt it freehand, even with the help of a compass - you explained it so well and it's always nice having a smiley face too! So, yeah, thank you very much for this! :)
The issue I’m having is, the measurement of your compass. Bc when I use mine to make the small marks it does not seem open enough to mark where you did. Do you have any suggestions? Or specific measurements for the compass
2:21 this is the moment i hated the most since i had to draw this on a larger scale and my compass couldn't open so wide. Does anyone know how to do it without a compass? Or like do i just freehand it?... edit: nvm i got it great tutorial over all but for smaller areas!
@@shooraynerdrawing Thank you, that's a great idea! In the end i kind free-handed it and checked the distance was equal to the others and it worked out, but i'm defenetly using that next time!
that's a FIVEpointed star-SHAPE or star-POLYGON . . but what about a 4pointed , 6pointed . or 8pointed stars ??? there's also a more realistic alternative . and that's Star-SPIKES whitch are those light colore streaks around realy bright stars . whitch apear in some photos of the night sky
Thank you so much for this! I’ve always wondered how but it seemed way too complicated, this was super easy to follow!
Glad it was helpful!
I love how he explain things so quick and easy

I don't have a compass and just needed something nearly accurate. This guide was perfect for making little star patches. Thank you!

Use a pin in the centre and a bit of string?
@@shooraynerdrawing Thank you, that's a great idea! In the end i kind free-handed it and checked the distance was equal to the others and it worked out, but i'm defenetly using that next time!

How to draw a Bethlehem star
2222
No I don’t want a pentagram and I don’t want to die and go to hell
But you could have a star and live up in the heavens!
Dude ... theres got to be a better way , thats so much. Isnt there a ratio that i can draw 5 points along the diameter with?
😂 that’s anything but easy holy sh!t
This is way too complicated for something that should be very very easy!
simplicity is often complex
you added a stupid filter to make you beautiful and its hard to see what are you doing
No filter on the drawing section - try watching again!
He is was cheating
How on Earth was i cheating? Thats just pure geometry!
This isn’t a true science. You guested the middle vertical line and the measurement of others but I see it’s close enough
You can place the first line - vertica - anywhere. The rest all follows wherever you choose to start.
