This has been my favorite book binding video and I've watched several by many different people. You can cleary understand everything and see everything. The project is great. It is something I really want to try and after watching your clearly demonstrated instructions I feel like I can succeed. Also, the music was a great volume and not overwhelming, very chill. Overall awesome video and thanks
I understood a lot more stuff and what type of bookbinding I want to use for my prints here than anywhere else. Can't wait to give this a try so I can finally organize my prints.
Your video was the basis for my first Japanese binding effort. I’ll be making a photo journal for one of my granddaughters and had to practice. Thank you for the straightforward instructions. It was easy to follow and I appreciate your efforts. It was a great video.
I made one of these today after your video and it turned out so great! Thanks for the tutorial! It was easy to follow and I love your calm voice. Also I found your musical choice great, as I am always super nervous when working on a new project. The music and your calm voice kept me grounded.
Coming to this rather late, but that was a very nicely presented video! I was surprised by your use of a glue stick instead of liquid pva. I know stick glues can be strong but pva offers long term bonding and guarantees smoother coverage. Also, a 42cm or 60cm steel ruler might be better and safer than a plastic one. I notice there seemed to be a lot of excess paper; enough for a mini sketch book perhaps?
U did it wonderfully ❤❤ also... I came to this video after a lot of similar videos..... This is easily the best🙏 gr8 job! This deserves millons of views:)
Your video is very good technically. Combining speeded up mode with normal mode paced it just right. Content-wise, the steps moved pretty seamlessly. I appreciated that your narration was concise and stuck to the essentials. That helped focus your viewer to remember the steps. The total run-time felt about right. This is a really helpful and fun instructional video, and I can’t wait to make one myself. One more point: can you provide a link to the punch and setting tool you used? Thanks.
For this book I used about 50 inches. Whenever I begin stitching, I usually leave out 4 inches for the tail and use the rest for the stitching. That’s usually enough, and you might even have a little bit left over.
I've made several now, I give as gifts and people love them. Thank you a lovely video
Those Eyelets really make it look so cool!

GREAT TUTORIAL!
Fantastic video great job!
I think you’ve done an excellent job if this was your first video! Well explained, well executed, great job! ClaudiaSJI
thank you for your clear instruction. What is the brand/model of paper cutter you use?
Waw perfect
❤
Can I ask why you chose hemp chord instead of waxed thread? I’m just researching different methods so I can find which one I like the most. ❤
Hi how much hemp cord please? Not sure if i missed quantity. Thanks. Btw lovely clear video
Do those eyelets work on all thickness of chip board or only thinner stock?
Thankyou
You need better glue, maybe even mod podge. Other than that, it’s looking very nice!
And you sound adorable :3
Hello. Which paper cutter do you recommend?
Is there any way to hide the knot on a hard cover?
loved this! where I can find this kind of decorative paper?
You can find all kinds of paper at Hobby Lobby! Don’t forget to use the 40% off coupon! 😊
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I’m curious as to how many pages your book has.
Amazing! Can I ask what is the diameter of the eyelets?
Thank you! And yes, they are 3/16”
Hope it’s ok to ask what brand is the paper. Desperately trying to see the name but can’t
Yes, of course! It’s called The Paper Studio
Waw
How much binding cord is needed to stitch the book?
For this book I used about 50 inches. Whenever I begin stitching, I usually leave out 4 inches for the tail and use the rest for the stitching. That’s usually enough, and you might even have a little bit left over.
What paper is this?
it's bond paper, it would be good if you chose 93 grams because it's heavier, but if you think it's better, you can just use an A4 sheet
Are you japanes .
