Embracing excitement has been so helpful for me in my graded exposure endeavours. When I push myself to do something that I want to do, knowing it will cause more pain or symptoms, after I've done the thing I wanted to do, I really try to focus on how exciting it was that I was able to do whatever it was, and really stay in a head space of excitement and appreciation, instead of focusing on the pain or symptoms. It really helps!

I’ve been adding some foods back in for several months but still having a lot of symptoms that make me want to back off. I don’t want to keep avoiding but the symptoms can be pretty tough at times.
