You did, Jennifer, you did :) The L word came into my life at a time when I had no community, and helped me come out of the closet to myself, as well as to those around me. Flawed though the show is in its portrayal of trans people and bisexual people, and maybe in other ways as well, it was such a big deal to me and to so many others just to see myself, and what I wanted, onscreen. Visibility is essential.
