Great work Luke, certainly heading the right direction Hope the flat solar panels can maintain output 6months after new, cooling is a real problem with those type panels Bikes on walking trails... Haven't you read the signs :)
The trailer looks great but I've got to say that the tent annex looks like a hell of a bother. I'd hate to have to set that up in the dark especially if it was raining with mud on the boxes. I'd be worried that I was going to end up on my arse.
Camper looks great. Love the hard top. Only thing i was concerned about was your footing when setting up the annex. I could see someone falling off. Maybe look intk a bigger toolbox or a clip on step? Could be different in person though
Thanks for posting this video! I'm an UBCO fan (don't own one yet), but what's rattling on the UBCO? Seems something needs tightening or dampening. Rattling like that'd drive me bonkers.
Great vid and i would absolutely love to obtain one of these trailer!! But simply dont have the coin !! I would just like to point out with the bike you should really point out that in some states Vic in particular and i think SA as well ! They must be fully registered and licensed as a normal motorcycle! even when ridding out the bush !! Would hate for someone buying one of these to find this info out the hard way with a fine !!
why cant the tent awning poles be built/hinge out from the lid? seams like a lot of unessisary faffing about after the tent pops up so quickly...... i dont understang why so many rooftop tents are like this....
Hey Luke great video, very thorough as usual and all top quality. 👌🏼 Can you please tell me the Tare weight of this Dot trailer and also the fully laden weight. I know you have ( or had ) an FJ which is what I’ve got. Would towing a fully laden setup like this make fuel consumption horrific with the FJ ? Thanks 👍🏼
lee perry hi mate, thanks : ) tare about 1100 kgs, average towing weight full gear / water be say 14-1500... depends a bit what you take.. but jump on drifta dot owners page on facebook, few guys there towing same dot with FJ, Steve Fuller is one , I think no worries really.. anything you tow with an FJ gonna suck the juice, but yeah steve can tell you exactly what he uses.. very nice bloke can help you out there... : ) L
A real shame you guys aren't making these anymore :( Nothing left to do I guess but wait until some owner sells the plans to the Chinese and they become available on AliBaba or AliExpress for like 10k and fall apart during the first outing :( :(
It’s all great stuff but I worry about set up & pack up time...a lot of bits & pieces...you’d want to be camping for a week min otherwise I’d need another holiday from all the set up & pack up...especially if you’ve got a few kids...
With all due respect, 15 mins for you is probably 45 for me particularly if I’m using only twice a year max...you build these bad boys hence maybe 15 mins...I’m not trying to be critical, just real...
haha cheap plastic. where ?? the black plumbing components are all Aust made brass fitting, we paint black, maybe that's why you think plastic. nah it's all brass. there is about $700 @cost in brass fittings in that trailer.. L
All the tap fittings are plastic bit concerned that you can’t see it. Like I said your trailers look good but it would be nice if you put brass tap fittings, brass hose joiners ect ( I’m talking about the garden hose connections you have used). I’m just stating something that could be improved on. You like to bag other products on your vids sounds like you can’t take a bit of constructive criticism?
@@benno8175 well just not needed to have brass fitting on those hose joiners.. why would you want that. i'm not trying to bag people mate just telling it like it is.. plenty people bagging me personally.. anyway have a go if you want : ) L
Nah mate not having a go I think you’ve got a lot of great products. It’s just one thing I wasn’t impressed on but that doesn’t mean your gear is bad I think overall your stuff is great
Bike looks great Whats price in AUD Can i be bought in Brisbane/QLD ? I am after an electric bike, ideally speed: 45-50km Distance: 100km Recharge 10-12 hours Drive as moped on car license
People like this need to get out in the country and enjoy nature. I guess they are afraid to go to a city park for a pic nick without every luxury the pampered must have.
Mate your passion and drive your products is incredible. Keep it up. Great to see an Aussie having a crack.
Thats just awesome. I'm only 1 major lotto win away from buying this. Cheers Steve
Brilliant, brilliant!! Electric is definitely the future. I am very impressed by all the gear.
Nice one Luke and Kaito 😎
Great Aussie camper with great kiwi bike. Way to go 👍👍
Awesome set up always great to see all your great products and ideas 👍🍻

Drifta camping you guys should design a swing away carrier to fit on the back of the van fit outs.

Fisho's will love the large cooler bag
When will you update the WUHT spec for these new goodies. The bike might blow the budget but what the hell it is only money.
I'm really interested in the UBCO bike - make a great hunting bike
Solar-Lithium-Chainsaw-Ebike-Minkota
That’s the future, right now.
Great set up, that trailer must weigh a hell of a lot.
Pump switch should be next to JCoola
Great Clip, who makes those clear sip bags ?
Great inovation Luke. Good on you.
ubco is nice, but expensive! nice to see the electric self sufficiency. any portable wind generators?
When is the new video coming out, can’t wait to see new solar etc

What about a 200mm mattress in a Hannibal tent Luke? 👍
So when do u start camping.
Also could sneak up on bears and mountain lions 😂
En-suite should be going to other side , under the awning. More privacy for ladies
Fit some bags to the front and rear brackets on that electric bike
So when are you going to sell your trailer in the States? I’ll help you sell them! Plus I want one!!!!
WOW LOT MONEY TO BUY BIG COST
THANK YOU FOR DETAIL VIDEO
Luke what are the little clips you are using in the front drawbar toolbox to tie the shovel in?
Chris Machalias bungee straps 😀👍 email me if u want some 👍

I think I could cope with 15 mins😊

Any info about charging that motorbike or cost of spare battery?
charges in 6 hours from dead at 110/220 lasts 75 miles; $2000 usd
Your trailers are good though for the price your asking would be good if you made all your plumbing fittings with brass and not cheap plastic.
