The way Rhodes got his first suit was much better in the comics. In the comics the War Machine armor was the most advanced suit Tony had at the time. Then we find out a few issues later , that Tony built the suit specifically to fit Rhodes attributes , and then gives the suit to Rhodes as a gift. Thats much better than the MCUs approach of giving Rhodes a random hand me down suit that he literally had to fight to get. It definitely was not a good way to present his character.
You completely forget the fact that later in that same movie when Tony was getting grilled by Fury and Romanov, Fury acts mock shocked when Tony says he 'took it' and asks widow if it's possible to which she points out that according to Tony's security measures? It's not. Tony is in a low spot and, while not the best of ways, he GAVE up the suit to Rhodey. it directly reflects the Tony from the comics who was dealing with alcoholism. It may not be as wholesome as the way the comics did it but it's still the fact that he gave it up and was pushing away everyone from the potential eventuality of him dying.
@@ChatterNet I get your point, but I still don't like the way it was handled. Yes, Tony did hand over a suit. But it wasn't anything really special. I don't remember seeing Tony even wear the suit. I also don't like the fact that Rhodes had to run to Tony's competition to get upgrades for the suit. So I understand your point of view. But I'm not happy about the execution.
@hollow-point8690 I'm gonna disagree here, at that point of the movie, the mark 2 was the best available suit tony has aside from the mark 4 (the mark 3 was damage beyond repair and the mark 5 was weaker). Plus it fulfills the tease in ironman 1 so it's a plus. Beside tony in the mcu have always given rhodes suits that just one level weaker than his current suit.
The enhanced durability, enhanced strength, and flight aren't literally powers, because they come from his suit and not body. He having all those weapons for all his suits and how he fights back is what makes him my favorite. We didn't see enough of him in the final battle in Endgame.
Him getting 0 seconds of fighting scene in endgame is just ridiculous. I mean what were they thinking? literally he has no action scene. If I meet Russo brothers or Kevin Feige, I really do want to ask them.
Tony's tech was on par or even inferior to Rhodey's until Civil War, and after that, it was only slightly. Also, Tony's suits were usually expirimental/one of a kind pieces that he literally couldn't give to Rhodey. Peter only had the original nanotech for his suit even in Endgame, not the upgraded type Tony had. Also by Endgame, both Rhodey and Pepper had hybrid nanotechnology like Tony had in Civil War. Basically, Tony always gets the best stuff first.
He is initially depicted as a U.S. Air Force officer who is the best friend of Tony Stark. A skilled pilot and tactician, he becomes involved in Stark's heroic efforts, gaining his own suit of Iron Man armor in the process while taking on the alias War Machine, and later the Iron Patriot
Rhodey is so underrated!!!
True 😔

@acidgolem2132 I'll agree to disagree. But I did love his Mark 2 and Mark 4. But really, none of his suits were bad .

I think you'll be happy then cause he's getting his own movie

SIDE-KICK-THIS !
War Machine is the best character in marvel comics
TBF, the "Ex-Wife" from what Hammer described is meant to be used as a long range missile.
Yeah it has a activation distance, which most missiles have in order to prevent malfunctions being fatal.
Rhodey beating drunk Iron man is best overall he is better combatant than Tony due to Army experience
Hopefully in Armor Wars we see Rhodes fighting without his armor

I never actually liked him because he just stole Tony suit. Meaning he never achieved anything on his own, he is just Iron Mans side kick.
Rhodey : *“SIDE-KICK-THIS !!!”* 🦾🦿💥💥💥💫💫💫
He earned it by kicking his ass
@@cossy360 he had no right to steal whatsoever. Tony build it all. Anyone can then use it if they all steal it.
@@Homelanderwasright nope he took it because Tony was being irresponsible and he himself knew it
@@cossy360 i see him as thief for the rest of the movies.
Can someone please explain to me why Tony & Rhodey were fighting In the second Ironman movie?
Tony was drunk and causing a scene. Pepper wanted Rhodey to stop him.

I don’t get why War Machine excists while Ironman is there but they create an amazing Duo I don’t even care anymore
Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine.
We think Tony is kinda cool with his friend, but look the level of his armour's tech and Rhody's. I mean... Hi's responsible for Rhody's paralisis. 😢

He just stole Tony's suit, nothing special about him.
