1957 BSA Road Rocket

I had a BSA special modeled on a Rocket Gold Star, clip om bars, rear set rests finned front brake with a white tank with red unicorns on it! It perhaps preceded the RGS! in Edinburgh when I was 17/18. Bugger to start! Nice to ride until oil return pump packed in with white smoke coming out! That was the end I rebuilt in a freezing scottish winter! Good Fun

My Grandad had a 1959 Super Rocket. I still remeber riding with my Grandad (me on the back). Riding at 70 mph down a motorway with my arse hanging off the back of the seat and my rucksack toggles hitting the spokes. Always sounded and looked the part. I still remember him trying to stop the thing at the lights with two massive gits strapped to it, having the front end wobble. Great memories of that day, going to a show, having his A10 Super Rocket, an A7 Shooting Star, a DBD34 Goldstar and a Rocket Goldstar parked up next to each other. Good times.

Wow smooth ride. Required little pushrod/Tappet adjustment mate. Very nice motorcycle.
