For some reason I was under the mistaken impression that the IM508 as it comes out of box will have everything I would need for an "All keys lost" situation or "after erasing old keys" for most common North American and Asian cars, but for very common Toyotas and Lexus vehicles with Smart Key, if you have an all keys lost scenario or need to erase lost existing keys, you would have to obtain that $300 APB112, and that does not work with the XP 200 , so you have to drop another $500 to buy the XP400 ? Correct me if I'm wrong.
That's.. i guess i don't see the point. I have the 508. But, the simulator.. what can it really help? Your just making a sim key to add instead of a reset. Guess it might save 8 minutes. And they're old key would still work if found. But, is there any actual advantage to this thing that im not thinking of?

Smartkey TOYOTA all key lost, only APB112 active. OK
Yes i guess you right only for the APB112 as I've just brought my im508 from Amazon but i new it well comes with out it.
can you do this even the car has alarm because it has akl and the car was locked previously?
Can the APB112 simulate the keys of all vehicles?
Some cases may not be, depending on the time upgrade of the system

It is still possible to reinstall when an old key is found
You don’t have to wait the 16 minutes to do the reset

You can only use a used/ previously programmed key if you reset the ecu which is a 16 minute procedure with most machines.
Are you sure. You can use a locked key by resetting the immo system? Doesnt sound right
