This ending is so good. I watched it til the end and just appreciated and needed that to sort my feelings. Craziest Episode.
To explain: Zenitsu's "Godspeed" is brief/instantaneous, and then his speed decreases. That's why we see the background going from "hyper speed" back into focus to "town roofs". So no, to clear the misconception, Inosuke doesn't match Zenitsu's Godspeed, Zenitsu has simply slowed down drastically after using it twice and his legs are near broken at this point as he stated (not to mention that it happened differently in the manga and Ufotable just made it more cinematic). Now other factors, maybe Zenitsu was pushing Daki towards Inosuke intentionally because he could hear his heartbeat, so then Inosuke popped up and sliced her from the other side. The 'Inosuke hanging in the air' moment was just anime being anime, so that he could give his little dialogue about why he wasn't literally dead. As we know, Inosuke is a crazy boar boy who is already very strong and tough from being raised in the wild. Probably has a tough immune system with some poison resistance from eating all kinds of random stuff in the woods lol. He also has his special sensory ability, just like Tanjiro can smell stuff, so he can sense things around him as well as incoming attacks (This will be explained more in S3). Plus he has a very flexible and "contortable?" body, so he shifted his heart slightly by shifting his bones, after sensing an attack coming from behind. Don't ask me how "realistic" shifting organs is, I'm not a scientist, but don't forget we literally just saw him worm his way through some underground tunnels, and we're talking about a show where people breathe very specifically in order to stay alive and become superhuman.

Why would you try to explain these things. It's just shonen nonsense. "Godlike speed???" Cmon man :DD. He could've used that at the beginning of the fight and probably get rid of Gyutaro. Realistic isn't something this show needs to be. Pretty much all of this was anime being anime. These characters should've been dead long ago during this fight with their current capabilities. Did Zenitsu also push Daki towards where they'd kill Gyutaro on purpose aswell so they could have this hollywood dying next to each other scene next episode? Haha.
Yo tengen is an actual TANK!! Muchiro is still my favorite hashira but seeing this animated took my respect for tengen to an insane level!! man lost his hand, was poisoned, got stabbed and his face/eye sliced and told tanjiro to not stop! Ultra giga chad!!
Yes, he has a strong will, but it's really tank is Mitsuri, she received upper 4 strongest attack and endured alone plus she became a strong wall when fighting muzan

Im an anime only so I'm just speculating. But from what we've seen Muzan and the uppers offered being a demon to just about everyone who turned. The only two exceptions are Nezuko and the random guy from Muzan's introduction. And they're the two with the least mental faculty. So turning without consent makes them more of a zombie than a vampire type deal. This could be just because they've never ate a human so idk

That scene of tanjiro running trying to catch up with tangen to help him behead gyutaro and he yell " uzui" then we hear tengen screaming " jump, don't stop" gives me an unexplainable feeling everytime i watch this ep... i really loved and enjoyed the voice actor of tengen, his voice range is so pleasing to me, i think this is one of the strongest points of DS their VAs are so talented and they match the characters so well
The way Uzui and Gyutaro are going berzerk and just when you think it slows down... Tanjiro blends in perfectly running to catch them, I get exactly what you mean

It was pure desperation and determination from Tengen. He knew he didn't have the strength to beat Gyutoro on his own, and he knew that if they failed to kill him there, they'd all die. It was literally a "either he dies or we do" moment.

This arc was quite literally an emotional rollercoaster. You think they've beaten Daki, Gyutaro comes out. They've almost got Gyutaro, he outmaneuvers them. The gang gets taken out, but they come back better than ever. Not only are the stakes high, the emotions are wild and the animation is even wilder. As much as I loved Akaza and Rengoku, it was very clear that fight was super one sided. Akaza only started to really try at the end when he needed to get away from the sun. But this fight felt so much more impactful because things were pretty evenly matched for the most part.
Side note: I love Gyutaro just patting Tanjiro's head and telling him to protect Nezuko. Obviously the moment is broken by the finger breaking, but you can definitely see that Gyutaro understands the sentiment of wanting to protect your sister.

@Offisianシ Well, they all get explained in the due moment. This season is not about anyone's backstory's except for Tengen's. The writer tried her best to do something consistent even with a lot of issues going on in her life, so its already impressive that she could do something like this. Writing a story isn't something easy, I say this as a writer myself. I can't even imagine when you have to write, draw, revise, and ship it to print when a company is on your back pressuring you to do so while you try to deal with your life along the way. Maybe try writing a story and make it good and consistent and then speak on it. Also, Demon Slayer is not about the plot. Its a very simple plot that ultimately works because of the characters, so yes, the plot is not its strongest point. Maybe you can start enjoying more things if you take the thought of "ThIs HAs tO HaVE a CoMPlicaTeD PloT to BE GoOd". if youre not a manga reader, it might be normal to feel this way. However, you will see that it all gets explained later. ANd the stakes in this arc were incredibly high for their world. For a season to have high stakes doesn't mean that the plot has to be heavy like in AoT or some other anime like FMAB. A heavy stake is for a certain story, you cant deny that for the Demon Slayer World, the fight they had right there was indeed very High Stake.
Now imagine having to wait a week between each episode🤣

The scar was an accident but as he is a wielder of sun breathing technique, this breathing technique choses people not the opposite, so it accepted tanjiro and got a mark replacing the scar in the shape of the sun ( if you go back to the episode where muzan cells freaking out from the man who almost killed him you can see the same scar on his forhead, he was the creator of sun breathing and he was born with that mark) .

Gyutaro is a full realized antagonist who in his conversational state is incredibly unnerving and creepy and in his fighting state intimidating and sometimes downright scary. The voice acting hits for everything from his mocking of Tanjiro to his frustrated grunts at Tengen continues to survive his attacks to his screams as he picks himself off the ground. But it isn't just the voice acting, the animation and choreography of his fighting style are insane. A fantastically realized character in all departments that is perhaps the best depiction of the concept of envy I've seen in a demon.
I don't really agree that this fight has less emotional weight than the Rengoku vs. Akaza. Akaza was toying with Rengoku while every fighter is not only taking part in this battle but struggling to survive.
Over the course of these couple episodes, this is the most extreme I've seen a group of heroes go from fucked to winning. Absolutely masterclass storytelling
They even went from actually winning, to totally fucked, and then back to winning.

Tanjiro says it earlier in this season when Daki points out his chipped sword. The Nichirin Sword's strength and sharpness is directly linked to the user's strength and ability. So yeah, in the first season even though Tanjiro learns how to cut through literal rock with a sword, he still cant cut through Rui's dad's arm. So, that demon's arm is harder than rock, obviously because at that point Tanjiro is stronger than he was before. And, Rui himself said that his skin is harder than the webs he can create, and his webs cut right through Tanjiro's sword at one point, however once Tanjiro was able to channel his strength better in that same fight, the stub of his sword was able to cut through Rui's webs and not the other way around.
All that to say is, to be able to cut through even stronger demon's necks, you just have to become stronger so that your sword itself is stronger/sharper when using it. (technique has a lot to do with it too. Give the sharpest sword to a noob and have him try to cut through a row of Tatami mats rolls, and he might not get through cleanly. Give that same sword then to a master swordsman, and he'll cut those mats like they weren't even there.)
I think only muzan/muzan’s blood can transforme people. So is ultimately his decision if they become a demon or not
anyone can give muzan blood and change poeple to demon but you need muzan's permition to do it because if you don't ask Muzan's curse will kill you. Rui can give blood but only to the already deamon and upper moons can offer and change because they have permition but it need second permition because muzan don't like to have another Tamayo.
