Daisen, which boasts an altitude of 1,709 m, is a natural heritage of Tottori Prefecture along with the Tottori Sand Dunes. It is the highest peak in the Chugoku region, which has been selected as the best 3 in the "Japan's famous peak ranking". You can enjoy fresh green in spring, mountain climbing in summer, colored leaves in autumn, skiing in winter and all four seasons.
Daisen is designated as Daisen-Oki National Park, but the protection within the park area is stipulated in the "Natural Parks Act". You cannot build buildings, widen roads, or install advertising signs on your own. In the "Special Protection Area", it is regulated not only to collect animals and plants but also to bring back a stone.

「日本名峰ランキング」でベスト3に選ばれたこともある中国地方最高峰の名峰です。
春の新緑、夏の登山、秋の紅葉、冬のスキーと四季を通じて楽しめます。
大山は、大山隠岐国立公園に指定され「自然公園法」にて公園区域内の保護が定められて
います。勝手に建物を建てたり、道路を広げたり、広告用の看板などを取りつけることは
できません。
その中の「特別保護地区」内では、動植物の採取はもちろん、石一つ持ち帰ることも規制
されています。
これは、貴重な自然景観を永く残していくため、地球がくれた産物を次世代へと語り継い
でいくためなのです。 みなさん、自然を大切に。
