- Afternoon @everyone and sorry for the delay in getting this video out. Having some health issues, but, still wanted to get y'all some info Mirror Waves in Star Trek Fleet Command! These are definitely a bit harder than the original waves people are used to (with the entry point being G4 instead of G3), but as I always love to say YOU are stronger than you think you are.

I've been a STFC apologist for a long time now, but the new waves can kiss my ass. And expecting me to buy entry into it through the Sec 31 store? F*** that S***!
Even an extra FC slot still isn't enough to get me doing waves - life's too short! :)
Ran out of directives because I expected a 23 hour cool down not THREE DAYS!!!. So I'm fucked. I still have thirty hours left. So no store loot. I'm pissed 😡
I'm still waiting on a content creator to even mention that there is 0 event store loot in the battle pass.

I think there should be an option for solo waves , it's time-consuming and sometimes tough to find people that know what they are doing .
I still hate waves and I might miss out on the FC slot because I refuse to participate in them, but that is my decision and I am sticking to it.
Same, Its the only thing in the game that I truly hate. Everything about it irritates me. It's not even that I can't do them. I can. As long as I don't hit the one shot kill ships I do ok. It's just I hate everything from the time it takes to that the put the content they did in its faction store. I tried one run this batch. Got killed immediately cause I didn't realize what ships to watch out for and have not done any more. Did not get one point in any wave event yet.
Maybe they should have fixed the lag (targeting hostiles and switching ships can sometimes not happen) in Waves before adding more Waves? Or that some devices (e.g. my Android tablet and Apple iPhone) will sometimes say "Lost Internet" when a Wave starts, even though my Internet is just fine (my PC never says that...), so I'm pretty useless for most of the first Wave while I restart. I'm not the only one getting this, I have several Alliance members with the same complaints.
Thats to hard. Thay'll just put another $99 pack in to *help* you get past those problems.
The internet loss is a nightmare since the new patch. It pretty annoying before already but now it is a pain in my ass. Waves were already boring but it's even worse now
Not a fan of the original waves at all, now they have more and you still have to do the original ones to use in the refinery. Are they deliberately trying to get rid of players?

Look could not score in wave defense sms because Everytime I joined a mirror wd it either froze or it would not let me target hostiles and on top of that they removed event store currency from all grades of battle pass and as mission completion rewards looks like a lot of free to play guys will be lucky to hit 120k in currency this event store
1 of Revs video he said Scopley said that if you complete all sms events you will have enough to get the FC slot. He made comments with an expectation of more, but by what he said Scopley indicated I would not be surprised if your right and it is only 120k.- Meridian, Strike Team, Forbidden Tech & More! video 8:05 min in.
As that feature is a $100 piece of content I would be surprised if they let it go cheaply in an event store. So getting 120k is not an unreasonable belief based off past Scopley choices.
Rev I just want to say I really appreciate all that you try to do information wise thank you so much. A lot of what you said in this video was really helpful.

The token cooldown is lame. The drip of directives is lame and most of the loot of the arch is based on waves. Even more horrible. The Arch runner is a garbage.
Arch? Hmmm. The rewards for the waves are awesome. The arc runner is by far the best one working for Scopely.

@@scottcohen1776 Really? Its been a week. If you didn't do wave defense you had nothing in the arc to do but the battle pass. Yeah, that's just peachy. But that's the new way isn't it. 2 pieces of content for free to play players and a dozen heroic content. I know they have to make money and that's fine but they have switched so that 85% of content is aimed at payers or trying to get people to pay.
@JohnThomas-ut3go I said the rewards from the new waves are excellent. I agree there's a lack of f2p events. It's meh on that front. But I, for one, love the new waves.
New waves are fine. You know what sucks? Mirror universe. I dont know why i pictured having us swap universes like incursions they can barely get that right but even so. Having to impulse through each system is silly. Maybe if its your first time in that system like you are charting mirror space. But to have that irritating mechanic AND a time limit? Doesnt make sense to me.
Concept of them is good but...
1. Limited starts
2. Do normal waves to then trade for mirro wave starts... and a ridiculous cooldown.
3. Crewkng is important, of course... but. sourcing for half of the best officers to help is so limited it might as well not be there.

for me, the new wave systems seem to be a little larger area, and the system ships move a bit faster. It takes a little better coordination and attention to YOUR lane! I enjoy the challenge.
I've been able to go as far as wave 6, but no further. I have been using the GG Tal setup and the janeway torres e-data crews and doing far better than with other crewing.
Now... if only we actually could get enough ciphers for those times where it takes two runs or more to get the SMS done. I'm one of those that couldn't complete the latest sms of the first week by one hostile because of running out of ciphers. And no, I didn't go using them outside of doing it for the SMS. Or maybe make it so that the sms scoring isn't limited to the ship type (exp, int, bs). Or maybe both?
Now can u make a video to help Voyager hit past round 4 crews for M40 waves??
Wave Defense on our Server was already in steep decline. The level 60+ players only seem to do the 40+ Waves, and they're so fast that they don't let a lot of the rest of us get hostiles in these new Mirror Waves. So more Wave Defense this isn't going to make things better overall.
Waves suck, Mirror waves suck more. Although I do kinda like the rewards but only because it helps solve a problem they created.
But between the old waves, The mirror extraction shooter zones and now mirror waves There is a growing dislike for the game in my alliance of the 40+ ops.
And the low directives make it worse. I couldn't finish the event
And the content they sped up through the new store is content we already had ways to speed up and it took less time to do than wave defense. I could finish most that content before I could find 4 other players to help in a wave.
Crew overviews? Best or alternative crews for Voyager and Monaveen in new waves?

The old waves we have been constantly hitting 1010 down to a mix of G4 and G5 players and teamwork
the issues wasn't about killing at least the first 2 waves for low to mid tier 40 player it was about the stupid sms. That required you to kill 30 hostiles in the mirror waves everyday. Which made it a giant scrum for the low level hostiles, and the surveys. Which you had 2 or 3 players attacking each of the large groups of hostiles.
20 mins old waves + 20 mins new waves + 20 mins MU = 1 hr boring af. 10x worse than rep grinding.
The new waves are cool. I enjoy them but we need more starts for the events so we can play more.
Also, stop telling people that they should have all the SNW crew members, many just became available in the Isomatter refine WHEN you have the Gorn ship that FTP can't get yet. SNW: James Kirk, Sam Kirk, M'Benga, Pelia, Nurse Chapel. are only in the Isomatter not the Mantis refines. How many of the Isomatter officers did you just tell us we should have already?
the Jaheelah artifact really helps with waves, got mine to lvl 5, will be lvl 6 tomorrow.
Side note: We need a new Freebooter system with larger ships! I hate having to kill 50 level 62 ships again!!😂😂😂

I like being able to trade the MU WD credits for Section 31 credits. Means you can double pull on more things. Plus, extra Trelium D for the store for those double pulls. I like the new addition
What are your thoughts on PMC for waves?
I didn't think these were too hard for the older server. Key is having two voyagers and a monaveen. I'm in the 5th strongest alliance on an OG server (17), and I have complete all 10 rounds in the 5 I have joined so far. Each time we have had 2 people with 5* rare ships, 2 with 5* uncommon, and 1 4* player. You need a fair amount of power, but you don't need 6* or 5* epic ships to beat these.
I like the new waves. They are a challenge and you can see how your specialty ships stack up

@@RevDeuce most of mine are maxed or near maxed. I was slacking on the ones for these waves but Monaveen and Voyager are both getting there. At ops 55 I can last pretty long in them if I choose targets wisely.

for the love of god and everything holy this is a mobile game why just why is there so much stuff in it thats so complicated lol , i have brain dammage love the game but man theres just way to much stuff to remember and do if ya try to keep up , ive melted down and just play random stuff now days from older loops until i finish them before moving to next loops , lol for my sanity
What is everyone using for the two wave crews?
I'm just about done trying to participate in this game's new content. Seems to take the entire arc plus 2 or 3 months to get the new ship/officer/etc you need in order to participate anyway... And East Coast Bias shows up strong with Group events in general, when you're on the west coast and can't commit more than 5 or 10 mins at a time until 10 pm (1am eastern). If you think waves are hard with 5 players, try doing them with 2. Advertising in Global/Alliance chats and/or hoping someone else might looks and notice you've started a 10 min timer is a ridiculous lobby system. It's a shame Scopely didn't bother to create a system to help better link players together for the group events they keep pushing on us
I like the waves, didn't finsh the 3 days of sms because run out of thingys, and on my server there just isn't a lot of waves done. I have enough to do 234 of reg waves but not enough people in my alliance or server to do them regularly. As I write there is 0 waves of any type being done on my server.

I have a high 48, soon to be 49 account and a F2P 43 account. My issue with waves in general is that they have very specific prerequisites in order to not feel completely under-leveled (high FT's and artifacts). For the OG waves, high FT's and Artifacts are necessary to make it past Wave 6 even with a 4* ship. And you're only realistically making it through 10 waves with 5* ships. I actually laughed when they launched mirror waves and said they were for 4* as if the OG waves were designed for 3*, but normal 4* ships can't make it through 10 waves. I think waves really highlight how new content is being produced for the top 1% of powerful players while the larger playerbase is unable to succeed at the content, even by playing "smart".
Again, *milestones*. I talked about this in the video. Players in the 30s are not expected to last through all 10 waves. It's a milestone system.
@@RevDeuce No, I get it, but maybe don't call the next two set of waves 4* and 5* when that division isn't quite that clear cut. By referring to those that way, Scopley implies the other OG waves are 3*.
The OG waves *are* 3* though. That's the entry point. Just like new ones are G4/G5 entry points
Speciality ships in mirror waves are waaay too strong.
My Monaveen is maxed for my level and ops locked till 51. It can beat the first two texas class and that's it, goes puff on the second wave.
Same with Voyager (t6, so quite strong for my level) and Bioships. And it goes puff on first Hirogen it hits.
I've tried different anti-hostile crews but to no effect.
We should have a free drip for these mirror waves to where we can get one free run a day
Ops 45,t5 val voy & mono Max for ops( 46 in oven,71 bps shy of pillum) don't have pelia & only been waving since new phone( 2months,old one just couldn't & wouldn't but played rest of game) I'm zero loot after 3 events & need to study waves,but having big doubts I'll hit that 3rd fc slot🖖😔
These are fine as a concept and even the slow drop of entry currency doesn't matter....
Until it's a 3 day, back to back event tying players hands over scoring ship choice (if you were low to mid 40s) then it was terrible. After this arc it'll be fine. On an event store month as a loot gainer event, garbage.
Or I can ignore Doplys latest cash grab (are we to the quality over quantity yet doesn't seem like it )

not really, specialty ships are ops locked and you encounter special hostiles harder than those you face in their regular place. You can just have a second ship that can punch something, taking away some of the early pressure

scopley with it's latest wave news update for waves Season 8 is admitting that the Mirror waves are only intended for players 45 and up
They are quite literally not saying/admitting that. As I discuss *in this video*, waves run on a milestone system. Are you expected to 10/10 a wave with level 42s? absolutely not. Should get through the first few waves? yes. Then i gets progressively harder.

I will never participate in mirror wave even if I have good ships and good crew for it. I don't have dozens of things in the game so it will be lost. They play it for fun and not to chase the ego, I don't have depression and I won't have it.
Rev, you need to slow down. It comes out like a babble because you're trying to cram too much too quickly. Less is more. For me, waves are terrible because you have to wait for ages to get people involved, some of which contribute very little so you rely on having whales to carry you through. Combined with limiting SMS scoring to specific ships adds insult to injury. Big fat F from me.
Complete disappointment and being a strong 42 doesn't help. Really lousy of Scopely to lock currency behind the most new and difficult content. I will be ignoring these, probably until they manage to drive me away completely.
This whole concept just sucks and if youre F2P is sucks even harder!
