I can't get over how amazing this sounds. This remix is so powerful and tense, it fits the fight perfectly. This might be my favorite remix, tied with your L'Oscurita Dell'Ignoto remix.
MY FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK IN ALL THE KH GAMES! AND I WAS SEARCHING 2 YEARS FOR A GOOD COVER OR REMIX! YOU ARE AWESOME XDDD I got the chills so fast too XD
Still waiting. My drummer buddy is taking his time to make sure he gets it perfect. Normally he just gives me a really good take, but this time he's really making sure it's spot on, which I'm glad for.
Dude. What the hell. Everytime u make a cover it blasts of awesomeness. No seriously. Everytime you make a new cover it always surprises me. Anyways. I am looking forward for your next song. Keep up the good work and you have yourself a nice day.
+Rick Natake Thank you so much dude! I'm glad I'm living up to your expectations :) Hopefully my next cover won't be too far out there 'cause I should be able to record it fairly quickly since it won't be super complicated :) And I hope you have a nice day as well :)
Lol for some reason I didn't get a notification when this came out, so I'm a bit late. Anyway, damn is this good. I don't remember this song, but I have a feeling the original would be put to shame after hearing this, as per usual with your covers Brian. I really hope that you're music takes you far in life with this kind of talent
+Crimson Gaia Hey it's all good! Sorry for noy respoding right away, my school work was building up and I've been super stressed and I haven't even had time to practice guitar :/ It's the song that plays during the "Mysterious Figure" battle, and that dude was brutal lol I'm really glad you appreciate my covers :) I don't think they could ever be better than the originals, 'cause they're just so wonderfully written and performed! And thank you :) I hope so as well, but my primary focus is to become a computer engineer or programmer, but music will always be something that I do whether or not it takes me far :)
It is 2:30 am right now and I was just about to go to sleep. So much for that idea. This has me too pumped to sleep. Damn you, Brian. I'm losing sleep because of you. You should be ashamed of yourself! To make it up to me, you can make another absolutely badass Kingdom Hearts cover and I'll call it even.
Brian Noel Damn, that was a fast reply XD I mean, you just said you have insomnia, and it's 2:30 am, so I guess it makes sense. Oh, I made a request for Hazardous Highway, but that was a joke. Listen to the damn thing. How do you even re-metal that thing? XD A serious request from me would be Disappeared, Xemnas' non-final-boss theme. Decidedly more reasonable to cover lol
+gagejoseph91 Haha yeah just happened to be on at the right moment, but it's actually 11:49 over where I live but I usuallu stay up that late anyways lol And yeah I don't think you can haha People have asked me to cover songs that are already rock or metal, and I'm just like...it's already done lol But yeah I'll keep that in mind lol, that would be a much better song to cover haha

+Kryxte Took me about 100 tries to record that lol and I had to spend days practicing that just to get it in time really well! I still have a long way to go, but I'm really glad you noticed! Thank you so much man! And I will!
+Diego Pena Thank you :) I definitely upped my production techniques before I made this just so that I could get it to sound better :) Turns out there might be a problem with my guitar pickups too so hopefully that gets fixed when I order a new wiring kit!
Amazing work as always Brian!! :) You really managed to capture the tension the battle created. On another note, may I request a cover of Aqua's theme? Thank you and I hope you have a great day! ;)
+Adoel-IR Thank you :) I think I already made a cover of Aqua's theme actually! Although if I didn't, I will eventually :) I hope you have a great day as well :)
+OhhhhMyJosh Thank you! Sometimes I really find it difficult to improve my quality from upload to upload, but I'm glad you noticed :) And yeah, but it's a pain in the butt to use and it takes about 20 times longer to make the video when I use it! I might not stick with it, or I might find a better way to do it :)
+Kevin Moya Thanks dude! I recorded the solo so many times, but there's a part where you have to do either a barred-sweep picking lick, or string skipping, and string skipping sounded better to me, but it was SO HARD to play xD
+Kevin Moya Yeah the mixing was probably the best this time all thanks to NTM! And thank you! I think I should feature more other instruments 'cause it seems like I almost use a guitar for every single part xD And thanks dude!
I will pay more attention to your advice bro and I'll check NTM! Hahaha yeah, it would be cool if you do more video takes on other instruments! I know I'm a little late with my proposition to do the feat but, when the time comes it will be awesome. Im uploading another video this friday!
Yeah man! NTM is life-changing! I'll have to show you the new drum tone I'm working on! It sounds sick so far! And sweet dude! Hit me up when it's uploaded!
This is so freaking well done! I've listened to this at least countless times already! They should have included this version in the game. If you're still looking for stuff to cover, try this: Final Fantasy X HD Remastered - Battle Theme. I believe that you could make it sound your oown in an awesome way!
+LITTLEBOYSHOCKER Good luck man! It took me hundreds of tries to win on beginner mode and now I'm doing a level 1 run of Kingdom Hearts II so wish me luck!
+Brian Noel Same here! I Wish us both the best. People usually have the Kingdom Key run, but I'm doing the "Star Power Playthrough" as I call it using my favorite Keyblade, Star Seeker, the Comet Staff for Donald, and the Falling Star shield for Goofy the whole way through. =)
+LITTLEBOYSHOCKER I've never heard of that, but yeah I'm sure level 1 is harder xD I keep getting stuck all the time lol And the first Tron world boss is a pain in the butt DX
+_ Teknoor _ Thank you :) I actually made 3 different versions of this cover, but every time I got pissed off that it wasn't living up even close to the original, but I'm happy with this version!
+_ Teknoor _ I would delete them and work them over from scratch if I didn't like them! I mean they weren't bad, but they could have been better, you know?
+_ Teknoor _ I would delete them and work them over from scratch if I didn't like them! I mean they weren't bad, but they could have been better, you know?
+TheMemexMan thank you :) I'm honestly surprised I haven't covered that yet, but I thought about it recently so why not? I won't be able to get to it for a while though!
I can't quite remember what I used, but lately I'm convinced that the guitar amp/cab is meant mostly for the distorted sound and the bass is meant to add more grind and round out the sound. You'll probably get good results using TSE plugins like their TS-808 sim with their 6505 model
+estradagame Thanks dude! And more than you know xD I literally made 3 different versions of this cover, and I redid the entire thing every time, which is part of the reason of this taking so long to get out!
+Brian Noel I can understand I mean this song is pretty crazy for a boss battle song it's pretty fast-paced almost like Through the Fire and Flames, but unlike Through the Fire and Flames the original version of this song is made with more than one instrument
Hey just wanted to say your vids are amazing!!! They always sound great =). And just wondering but is it really hard to make videos like this. I play guitar but I've never tried playing along with background tracks since I don't know what kind of programs to use and such
Thank you :) And really it depends on how much effort I put in :/ Since I like to make the tracks completely from scratch myself, it takes quite a while and a lot of trial and error. It's a good idea to learn the parts of different instruments from different songs to kinda learn what would fit where and how to write appropriately for other instruments (drummers only have two hands and feet, so it would be impossible for them to hit two cymbals and a snare at the same time unless someone else hit it for them...) It's really a lot of fun to do though, so even though it can be hard, it doesn't always feel like it :) My next cover which I'll be uploading in a few minutes took hardly any time at all, but it's also very minimalistic! If you want to make your own backing tracks, here's some good things to look up on Google: DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Interface VST VSTi ASIO latency EQ Compression Limiter Mixing Panning And there's several other things, but I think you'll be able to find those on your own :) Hope that helps!
You're probably up to your ears in requests, but that's because you're too damn good. I'm no exception. Think it's about time to do a Hazardous Highway cover? :P
+gagejoseph91 Haha you know it! I've actually already made a cover of that on another channel, but it wasn't very good lol if you want something to tide you over until I remake it, it's on either my channel "DBPHBrianMN" or "BrianMNDBPH" :)
+gagejoseph91 Haha you know it! I've actually already made a cover of that on another channel, but it wasn't very good lol if you want something to tide you over until I remake it, it's on either my channel "DBPHBrianMN" or "BrianMNDBPH" :)
Brian Noel I wasn't expecting such a fast reply, so I wasn't able to edit in that I was joking about this suggestion, as I explain on my other comment lol Stop replying so quickly!! XD I'll definitely check it out on your other channel.
+gagejoseph91 haha it's all good dude xD I'll make sure to leave a 5 minute buffer time from now on lol and I don't know if I warned you, but it's not that good lol
+gagejoseph91 haha it's all good dude xD I'll make sure to leave a 5 minute buffer time from now on lol and I don't know if I warned you, but it's not that good lol
+Project Genesis Yeah you should definitely check out Nail the Mix 'cause that helped me improve my tone A LOT! I cannot stress how much better my mixes now sound now that I know a lot more about what I'm doing lol
+Jose Lavariega We'll see about tabs, but I will be making backing tracks from now on, so you might be able to figure out what I didn't play in the video from the backing tracks by ear, which will help you a lot!
+Kaiki Fan I have tons of advice for you! This is really important as it could cause a lot of damage: don't tense up, and if you notice yourself getting tense or feeling pain, stop immediately and give yourself a break. It's also good to practice guitar in 30 minute intervals so your brain has time to internalize what you learn as well as giving your body a break. This is my advice in order of importance: 1. ALWAYS play with a metronome! Even though the clicking gets annoying when you start using a metronome, and you might even think it throws off your timing for a while, it will solidify your timing, making you a better guitarist in a group setting, it will give you tighter recordings which will always sound better, and if you have really good and accurate timing, it will be easier to play almost anything! It's not too difficult to just turn on a click track before playing and only takes a couple seconds, but can make a lot of difference in your playing! Timing is more important than even the pitches you play! A guitarist who plays a couple notes wrong, but plays well in time will sound much better than any guitarist that can play everything right, but not perfectly in time! A few milliseconds make a lot more difference than one might think! 2. Practice new things SLOWLY Even if you're learning a super shreddy lick or even a simple rhythmic pattern, if you haven't played something like it before, you're going to want to slow it down a LOT (around 60bpm should do it), and then slowly build up your speed little by little (5bpm per day or even less), and you'll find that you can play that phrase or pattern a lot better than you would have without slowing it down! It can shorten how long it takes for you to learn to play guitar well by years! Don't forget a metronome! Speed is not how fast you can play, it's a product of accuracy, so if you can play things well slowly, move the metronome mark up a tiny bit and see how comfortable you are at that tempo. 3. Record yourself Sometimes it's hard to hear what you're doing wrong while you're playing, so setting up a microphone on your phone to record you while you're playing will allow you to really hear yourself back and lets you know exactly what you're doing wrong (with a metronome). Chances are if something doesn't sound right, you have more work to do on improving that aspect of your playing. I recorded one of my friends with a drum machine so he could check his timing, and I did the same thing so he could hear what our playing sounded like together, by itself, with the drum machine, and without the drum machine so that he could really understand how recording yourself will expose errors in your technique, which is one of the reasons I used to improve so quickly since my hobby is literally recording myself! 4. Learn how to play songs that you like and listen while you play along to lock in your timing like you would with a metronome (not necessarily in the same genre that you like to listen to) I may write metal, but I like learning other kinds of music, such as acoustic fingerstyle in the style of Sungha Jung, or rock like Muse, Kansas, and many metal genres that I don't necessarily write in, like djent, progressive (like Polyphia, which you should check out because they are fabulous musicians and they tend to feature very talented guitarists such as Jason Richardson), post-hardcore, electronicore, hardstyle deathcore, etc. 5. Practice music theory Even though it's boring, once you understand a bit of it, it helps you write songs, and understand songs and their structure, and helps you communicate with other musicians exactly what you are doing, such as, the sweep picking lick I played in the intro was a B minor arpeggio starting on the 5th interval on the 5th string. Lots of musicians won't know what this means, but if you're serious about music, it's invaluable information to have! 6. Learn from other good musicians I don't consider myself a good musician on any front, as I am always improving, and I always have some technical skill to work on. There's lots of tutorials here on UA-cam by people like Andy James and Misha Mansoor and Tosin Abasi that can help you learn new skills as long as you know how to apply the words of others into your own practices! Playing with professional musicians will also help you improve a lot, and while it might be nerve wracking to go and find professional musicians and play with them, instead of that, you can play along to some of your favorite recordings, which is almost the same experience! There's much more, but there's a lot of things that you will have to teach yourself, like how to hold the guitar, which to prevent injury, I recommend placing the thumb of your fretting hand right in-between your middle and your ring finger. It's going to be a bit uncomfortable at first, but it has more benefits than just no injuries; it will make your timing and fretting a lot more accurate and easy in the long run. When your hand is angled like it naturally tends to be, it takes a lot more effort for you pinky and ring finger to fret the notes than if you modify your hand to play in the "correct" position. Good things to practice (with a metronome) are: -perfect alternate picking (I use a version of this, although it's not strict alternate picking, but it's definitely not economy picking. economy picking will feel easier while you are starting out, but as you get better, you'll realize that alternate picking is easier to control. This took me years to get, but pick slanting will help you a lot, and it's explained really well here: ua-cam.com/video/aoHZ9G4aWdw/v-deo.html whether you pick flat or diagonally is really all personal taste, so you'll have to figure out what works for you. -inside picking -outside picking (can be very useful, and it can be really hard to do at first, but it happens a lot so I wouldn't skip out on working on this -finger independence (look up "spider exercises for guitar" and you'll find these pretty difficult, but they're also very rewarding) -muscle memory (try to learn as much content as you can in as little time as you can, and see how much of it you can remember the next day) -sweep picking -arpeggios -pentatonic scales -diatonic scales -exotic scales (like gypsy major, which is one of my favorites) -timing (you should be practicing this with every exercise you do, or anything you're practicing really) -tapping (it's really important that you use a metronome here) -tapping and sliding (little more difficult than just tapping) -finger-picking (it's really fun to play stuff like Sungha Jung) -slap technique (look up Rob Scallon's "Slap Guitar Lesson") -muting (practice this to a metronome; a lot of guitarists don't realize a good attack comes from a good release, so it you spend a lot of time on this, it'll make you sound a lot better if you play any djenty stuff or palm-muted grooves. You should be able to mute with both of your hands too). On top of that, when you mute, every note on the strings below what you're playing should be muted with your index finger on your fretting hand at least, or whatever other fingers you have available, and everything above what you're playing should be muted with either your picking hand thumb, or with your picking hand palm. I find the thumb more useful, that way you can do semi-palm mutes while muting with your thumb. There's lot's of videos on how to mute, but remember to practice this A LOT, and to practice it SLOWLY until you really know how to mute in every scenario you're faced with. -string skipping (lots of Memphis May Fire songs use string skipping, and the muting tends to be pretty complicated, and it probably wouldn't be in your worst interest to try and learn a Memphis May Fire song when you feel confident in your ability to play guitar that well). -bending (if you can't bend in tune, it's never going to sound good) practice this with a tuner (you don't really need a metronome to practice just bending, but it's probably not the worst idea either) -sliding your hand quickly and accurately across the fretboard (check out the beginning of Polyphia's music video for James Franco to get an idea of what that should sound/look like, and they also have a lick where they slide their hand up and down the fretboard really quickly instead of trilling. -find any other articulations you find interesting and learn how to play those. Polyphia tends to use A LOT of articulation and ornaments in their playing so you should check them out and then watch their music videos to find out what they're doing -transcribing by ear - lots of guitar tabs tend to either very inaccurate, or at least somewhat decent, but I have yet to find any tabs that are 100% correct. I have to learn Memphis May Fire songs by ear 'cause everybody who writes tabs leaves out a lot of the minor 6th and minor 7th palm muted riffs, which took me a lot of time to realize I was playing it wrong because of the tabs, but also helped me improve my ability to learn songs by ear a LOT! Best of luck with your guitar playing, and let me know if there's anything else you need help with!
+Kaiki Fan Don't worry about it :) I'm always happy to help others, especially those that ask! Good luck with your guitar playing and don't forget to use a metronome d:
Brian Noel well there's one Winged Angel from ff7 and then Pandemonium From FF2 which shouldn't be too hard because it's like all the covers you've done
+Uniphication It's in Drop B, and sorry gor the late reply! I changed to Drop B cause I wasn't getting the tone I wanted out of Drop D so a lot of my older covers are in Drop D, but most if not all of my newer covers are in Drop B with an exception to the acoustic covers I make which will usually be in E Standard or Drop D :) Also, at the violin solo part after the arpeggios and before the end of the song before it repeats, there's a part with triplets where you can either do a sweeping pattern or a string skipping lick, which is what I did cause my sweeps aren't that good! I hope that helps!
Excuse me good sir i want to ask you something important i want ask you can i use your cover for a video i am working on that if you don't mind and i will give full credit to you as well.
I honestly can't remember how to play this lol I'd recommend learning it by ear by playing it slowly in something like Audacity so you can get better at identifying and playing relative intervals ;)
Would sound better with the constant beeping of the health bar
+Anti Sora I knew I missed something xD
Dude FUCKING AWESOME!
+HMK Thanks man!

Seriously dude
what took you so long man

Sometimes I forget Brians covers aren't ost
Holy shit that electric version of the violin!
YES. Best part, RIGHT THERe.
That was really hard for me to play back then lol I spent a couple days recording that part alone haha
It would be. People'd go CRAZY if you messed that part up.
Not me though, I'm pretty chill.
+ProtoTag Shelo Haha well I almost went crazy trying to record it perfectly lol
It was pretty damn fantastic though.
I always wondered what this theme would sound like in a metal cover...
It's badass. Keep up the great work man!
You're gonna mess around and get hired by SquareEnix! Keep it comin'
+Strykir GameTime That would be absolutely amazing! I will :)
+Strykir GameTime That would be absolutely amazing! I will :)
I know It Is a 4 year of video BUT DUDE YOU ARE AWSEOM
If that match VS Young Xehanort on Birth By Sleep had a Phase 2 this would be the BGM....THERE SHOULD BE AND THIS SHOULD BE THE BGM!
Calm down there, Satan. One phase was more than enough.
I can't get over how amazing this sounds. This remix is so powerful and tense, it fits the fight perfectly. This might be my favorite remix, tied with your L'Oscurita Dell'Ignoto remix.
+Denk Snek I'm really glad to hear that! I was afraid I would never catch up to the standards that I set for myself, but I'm glad you think so :)
With A name like that

Still mad about how exceptionally good this sounds xD
+Garik Wheeler Yours is still pretty good man :) Have you uploaded it yet or are you still waiting?
Still waiting. My drummer buddy is taking his time to make sure he gets it perfect. Normally he just gives me a really good take, but this time he's really making sure it's spot on, which I'm glad for.
+Garik Wheeler Does he try and get everything in one take? If he does, that's insane!
Brian Noel Yeah, he does! Dude's nuts. And he does it without a metronome, too.
+Garik Wheeler Dang! That's talent! I imagine he would sound even better with a metronome!
Dude. What the hell. Everytime u make a cover it blasts of awesomeness.
No seriously. Everytime you make a new cover it always surprises me. Anyways.

I'm glad to hear you liked it :) Thank you!

Freaking awesome!Dude your sweeping skills have really improved!Plus you remixed one of my fave Birth by sleep songs!Keep it up!
+Kryxte Took me about 100 tries to record that lol and I had to spend days practicing that just to get it in time really well! I still have a long way to go, but I'm really glad you noticed! Thank you so much man! And I will!
Dude this was hella sick. I really liked this one. It's probably one of my favorites keep up the good work man
+Diego Pena Thank you :) I definitely upped my production techniques before I made this just so that I could get it to sound better :) Turns out there might be a problem with my guitar pickups too so hopefully that gets fixed when I order a new wiring kit!
1:14 the part that i've always waited for XD
One of my favorite themes and this came out beautifully. Well done.

+bcoon2000 I'm glad you like it :)
Amazing, I've been waiting for this!
+Thatonegirl Hopefully I'll have another cover out next week, although I'm planning on having it be a solo acoustic guitar arrangement :)
+Brian Noel nice! I'm glad I found this yt channel :)
+Thatonegirl Me too! There may be long intervals between uploads, but I'll try to keep pushing out content!
That was fucking epic. Please don't ever stop doing what you're doing because these covers are AMAZING!
+Haley Roy Thank you! I don't plan on ever stopping, so don't worry about that :)
One of my favorites from the kingdom hearts series and you nailed it 👌. Keep it up man
+Mufasa_Hopper thanks man! I'm glad to hear that! And I will :)
I was hoping you'd do this one at some point! Great job, man! You're awesome!!!
+WILDMUSTANGX I don't think I could ever NOT do this song; it's way too awesome to pass up! And thank you :)

Brian Noel I really wanna download it, though!
+WILDMUSTANGX I haven't been on my computer for the past two days, but once I get my room rearranged, that'll be the first thing I do :)

+R.x.b.y thanks :) And I definitely will!
+R.x.b.y thanks :) And I definitely will!
Damn dude, this turned out exceptionally well! I just realized you're using a green/blue screen now. Keep up the greatness.
And here we have another "Kingdom Hearts" to "Rockman Zero" conversion.
YEAH! You nailed the mix again bro, loved the solo too!
+Kevin Moya Thanks dude! I recorded the solo so many times, but there's a part where you have to do either a barred-sweep picking lick, or string skipping, and string skipping sounded better to me, but it was SO HARD to play xD
haha I suppose, but dude the mix sounds pretty clean, well played and you arranged the theme very well too! That solo made ventus to wake up asdjkl
+Z. Owl Thank you :) I made three seperate versions cause I was never satisfied, but I liked this one :) I'll make sure to check into that song :)

Wow was not expecting that at all you are a genius
Top performance for a top song for a truly annoying enemy!
Bruhhh . . . Once again, mind-blowing! =D
+LITTLEBOYSHOCKER Glad to hear that :] Thank you!
+Brian Noel Still terrified out of my mind to fight this guy, but this'll give me more confidence. =)
THIS IS EPIC!!
NICE WORK MAN! sounds sooo sick and fitting.
+_ Teknoor _ Thank you :) I actually made 3 different versions of this cover, but every time I got pissed off that it wasn't living up even close to the original, but I'm happy with this version!
Well...Tryna let me hear the other 3 versions?? lol you don't have to but I don't think they're gonna be bad
+_ Teknoor _ I would delete them and work them over from scratch if I didn't like them! I mean they weren't bad, but they could have been better, you know?

Been waiting for this, fucking amazing as usual.
+Red Chaos Thank you :)
Damn how did I only just find this!! Absolutely incredible cover! Now the question is, tabs?? Preferably for lead and rhythm 😉
Sorry man but I never get to making tabs so I can't promise anything 😂 learning by ear is definitely worth it though! Sorry for the late reply!
Amazing as always
+William Dirkin Music Thanks dude!
Hi Brian!
Your covers are fucking gold! I love them all
+TheMemexMan thank you :) I'm honestly surprised I haven't covered that yet, but I thought about it recently so why not? I won't be able to get to it for a while though!
Alternate Title: The theme that plays when you’re about to get your ass handed to you a hundred times. But hey, at least we have an epic remix.
this version would be awesome final boss battle music!
Blown away by this cover but the nerd in me couldn’t get over your tone! What gear/setup did you use for it?
I can't quite remember what I used, but lately I'm convinced that the guitar amp/cab is meant mostly for the distorted sound and the bass is meant to add more grind and round out the sound. You'll probably get good results using TSE plugins like their TS-808 sim with their 6505 model
Damn man this is so awesome I almost didn't recognize the song until like 7 seconds into it this must have taken a long time to finish
+estradagame Yep true that! Through the Fire and the Flames is a 1/4 of the speed faster than this, but it's still pretty quick!

If you want to make your own backing tracks, here's some good things to look up on Google:
DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
Interface
VST
VSTi
ASIO
latency
EQ
Compression
Limiter
Mixing
Panning
And there's several other things, but I think you'll be able to find those on your own :) Hope that helps!
It helps alot thank you so much!!! and awesome cant wait to listen to it =) ha
Champ2056 No problem :) And it's up right now!
Beautiful! One of my favorites!
+SkullNoiseNocturne Thank you :)
Makes me wonder if it was written for the guitar rather than the violin. You do this song some serious justice. B^)
+DJFirewolf I wish I could still play violin cause I would totally play the violin solo if I could!

simply amazing noel :D

+Enzo Lopez Thanks man :)
Pleasure to my ears.
+La Rose Fairy Thank you :)
Nice work man.
Keep it up. :)
Thanks :)
This is perfect. You did an amazing work!

Fuck yeah Brian! Love this! Keep going!!!!!!
+Alex Gasperini Thanks dude! I definitely will!
Wow man! You are amazing!
+Kevin Calderón Thanks dude!
My dude, good shit
Your best sounding one
+Project Genesis Yeah you should definitely check out Nail the Mix 'cause that helped me improve my tone A LOT! I cannot stress how much better my mixes now sound now that I know a lot more about what I'm doing lol
I'll check it out. Maybe one day I'll know what I'm doing haha
+Project Genesis It's all experience, but it's nice to see how/why professionals do what they do :)
its awesomeeeeeeee, i love that🙌🙌
+Fitri Mariyana Dewi Thank you :)
Awesome! I love this song from KH BBS and please make tabs!! 😆 thanks bro!
+Jose Lavariega We'll see about tabs, but I will be making backing tracks from now on, so you might be able to figure out what I didn't play in the video from the backing tracks by ear, which will help you a lot!
+Brian Noel alright thanks man! Keep on doing what you love doing! 😎
+Jose Lavariega No problem man :) I should be able to get those all done later today!
+Jose Lavariega No problem man :) I should be able to get those all done later today!
Could you possibly do Sabers Edge from FFXIII? It seems like it would be awesome on guitar!
+SamelCamel I'll look into it :)
Not even shock this is good
+CJAdams97 Thanks dude!
damn pal, that 1:15 solo is awesome, do you have the tabs?
such talent. Right now I'm learning to play the electric guitar by myself. Hoy any advices or something?
+Kaiki Fan I have tons of advice for you! This is really important as it could cause a lot of damage: don't tense up, and if you notice yourself getting tense or feeling pain, stop immediately and give yourself a break. It's also good to practice guitar in 30 minute intervals so your brain has time to internalize what you learn as well as giving your body a break.
This is my advice in order of importance:
2. Practice new things SLOWLY
Even if you're learning a super shreddy lick or even a simple rhythmic pattern, if you haven't played something like it before, you're going to want to slow it down a LOT (around 60bpm should do it), and then slowly build up your speed little by little (5bpm per day or even less), and you'll find that you can play that phrase or pattern a lot better than you would have without slowing it down! It can shorten how long it takes for you to learn to play guitar well by years! Don't forget a metronome! Speed is not how fast you can play, it's a product of accuracy, so if you can play things well slowly, move the metronome mark up a tiny bit and see how comfortable you are at that tempo.
3. Record yourself
Sometimes it's hard to hear what you're doing wrong while you're playing, so setting up a microphone on your phone to record you while you're playing will allow you to really hear yourself back and lets you know exactly what you're doing wrong (with a metronome).
4. Learn how to play songs that you like and listen while you play along to lock in your timing like you would with a metronome (not necessarily in the same genre that you like to listen to)
I may write metal, but I like learning other kinds of music, such as acoustic fingerstyle in the style of Sungha Jung, or rock like Muse, Kansas, and many metal genres that I don't necessarily write in, like djent, progressive (like Polyphia, which you should check out because they are fabulous musicians and they tend to feature very talented guitarists such as Jason Richardson), post-hardcore, electronicore, hardstyle deathcore, etc.
5. Practice music theory
Even though it's boring, once you understand a bit of it, it helps you write songs, and understand songs and their structure, and helps you communicate with other musicians exactly what you are doing, such as, the sweep picking lick I played in the intro was a B minor arpeggio starting on the 5th interval on the 5th string. Lots of musicians won't know what this means, but if you're serious about music, it's invaluable information to have!
6. Learn from other good musicians
I don't consider myself a good musician on any front, as I am always improving, and I always have some technical skill to work on.
Good things to practice (with a metronome) are:
-perfect alternate picking (I use a version of this, although it's not strict alternate picking, but it's definitely not economy picking. economy picking will feel easier while you are starting out, but as you get better, you'll realize that alternate picking is easier to control. This took me years to get, but pick slanting will help you a lot, and it's explained really well here: ua-cam.com/video/aoHZ9G4aWdw/v-deo.html whether you pick flat or diagonally is really all personal taste, so you'll have to figure out what works for you.
-inside picking
-outside picking (can be very useful, and it can be really hard to do at first, but it happens a lot so I wouldn't skip out on working on this
-finger independence (look up "spider exercises for guitar" and you'll find these pretty difficult, but they're also very rewarding)
-muscle memory (try to learn as much content as you can in as little time as you can, and see how much of it you can remember the next day)
-sweep picking
-arpeggios
-pentatonic scales
-diatonic scales
-exotic scales (like gypsy major, which is one of my favorites)
-timing (you should be practicing this with every exercise you do, or anything you're practicing really)
-tapping (it's really important that you use a metronome here)
-tapping and sliding (little more difficult than just tapping)
-finger-picking (it's really fun to play stuff like Sungha Jung)
-slap technique (look up Rob Scallon's "Slap Guitar Lesson")
-muting (practice this to a metronome; a lot of guitarists don't realize a good attack comes from a good release, so it you spend a lot of time on this, it'll make you sound a lot better if you play any djenty stuff or palm-muted grooves.
-bending (if you can't bend in tune, it's never going to sound good) practice this with a tuner (you don't really need a metronome to practice just bending, but it's probably not the worst idea either)
-sliding your hand quickly and accurately across the fretboard (check out the beginning of Polyphia's music video for James Franco to get an idea of what that should sound/look like, and they also have a lick where they slide their hand up and down the fretboard really quickly instead of trilling.
-find any other articulations you find interesting and learn how to play those. Polyphia tends to use A LOT of articulation and ornaments in their playing so you should check them out and then watch their music videos to find out what they're doing
-transcribing by ear - lots of guitar tabs tend to either very inaccurate, or at least somewhat decent, but I have yet to find any tabs that are 100% correct.
+Brian Noel wow, I have no words for all this helpful advices. Thank you very much.

+Nuruddin Shah Maybe I should've used that energy to write my physics essay xD
Oh look it's May 4th....and this awesome shit happens! XD

Miko imitated this.
I did it on another channel, but I think it's time I covered it again now that I know what I'm doing :)
Looks like Xehanort found this and disliked this. Well that's another reason to kill him in KH3 btw as always I love it :)
I'm so excited for that game! I'm glad you like it!
+Brian N yeah man together we will finally take xehanort down for good :)
Great but when are going to do my request im just wondering if you'll ever get around to it
+Raven Sorry which one is that again? I'm trying to get through all of the but there's SO MANY O_O
Brian Noel well there's one Winged Angel from ff7 and then Pandemonium From FF2 which shouldn't be too hard because it's like all the covers you've done
+Raven alright I took a screenshot so I don't forget again, but yeah I'll try and get to them when I can :)
+Raven alright I took a screenshot so I don't forget again, but yeah I'll try and get to them when I can :)
Brian Noel OK well I think you should do FF2 Pandemonium because it's easier and you could upload it faster
Mysterious Figure and Young Xehanort disliked...HAHAHA I'M SOOOOO FUNNY!!!! XD XD XD XD XD
#0dislikes ,great job dude!
+DJVort 17 Thanks dude! #fornow xD
hey man where can i get in touch with you id like to work with you in music
please make a KH2 disapear cover
What tuning is this in? Was trying to teach it to myself based on the notes you were playing but couldn't figure out the tuning lol
Absolutely! As long as credit is given, I have no problems with that :)

tabs?
pretty please?
I honestly can't remember how to play this lol I'd recommend learning it by ear by playing it slowly in something like Audacity so you can get better at identifying and playing relative intervals ;)
tabs bro all the tabs plz
+Logan Durrans seems like I'll be making tabs for this :) I'll put them up in the description when they're done!
Brian N 1 year later... tabs :(
This is god awful. you should just quit music and live the rest of your days with the pre-proccessed hamburgers 😛
+Pedro Delatorre I wouldn't have a problem with that xD
