- This is a total body Pilates Mat workout, filmed on Rangeley Lake up in Maine. There's no flexion-based core work in this class. We'll start with upper body and core work supporting a neutral spine. Then we'll move into side body work that hits obliques and outer hips/glutes. We finish with some centering hip bridge work.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
-Resistance band loop amzn.to/2r952Ai (I'm using an extra-light and then a medium band)
If you're used to taking Classical Pilates classes, this will be a smidge different. I'm trained through STOTT, which is a contemporary, anatomy-driven approach - and then I put my own flair on top of that. :)

Iconic Nicole workout - hilarious editing, Stephen King references, and of course well-thought out progressions. Loved the little moment of mindfulness before we started class too. I'm sad you didn't program this for the calendar on Halloween but except for that, 10/10 THANK YOU!

Man, band is so much harder than weights.
This is very TOUGH on the shoulder stability and gluteus medius, which both are my weak spots.
I stopped the video for a dozen times to take a breather, especially in the first two movements of upper body session.
Maybe I should get something lighter than 10lb band, which is the lightest at hand, before taking this class again.
Btw, “mosquitoes eating me alive” part gave me the courage and the laugh I desperately needed to finish this class. Well done bugs.
