The handy, free USB stick 'burning' tool called Balena Etcher no longer works for M1/M2 Apple Silicon macs, so here's a solution that's guaranteed to work for any Apple mac! No previous knowledge of the command line is required.

Using dark mode I cannot see any thing in the terminal at all
