I miss the classic "The Price is Right" when Bob Barker hosted & all of these wonderful music cues played. Great stuff! Edd Kalehoff is a musical genius! I always think of Janice, Holly, Dian & Kathleen ("Barker's Beauties") whenever I hear these great old cues, really takes me back! R.I.P., Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy...Two announcing legends!
Whenever I hear this symphony of sheer brilliance, I am lying somewhere on a tropical beach just soaking up rays of sunshine! Lovely! I wish "TPiR would go back to the original cue music.
I agree. I always envision this vividly-sounding music cue going to high school football games on Friday night's, going to church on Sunday mornings, and other positive things that go on in my community.
I'd imagine for the hardcore TPiR fan, that would be a dream. If the, excuse the pun, price was right, I'd buy them. It's not Beethoven, but the music is pleasant enough for me to want to listen to more than once.
Right? I remember many a morning at my grandparents' house (and man, was nice to have lived next door to them as a kid), and the show ending as follows: This has been "The Price Is Right", a MARK GOODSON, television production!
Wish I could find the mix of Rye Bred they used for Clock Game on YT. It's like the versions of Second Thoughts and Starcrossed they used: Very hard to find on YT.
"The Price is Right" royally sucks now...especially with the newer music cues, with George Gray as announcer, and especially with Drew Carey as host. Bob Barker was the greatest host ever, and Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy were the best announcers ever!!! R.I.P., Johnny Olson, Rod Roddy, Mark Goodson & Bill Todman (with the latter two names being co-creators). :'(

Bring back the 1970s and 1980s & Bob Barker. Forget school except for gym class & lunch & TPIR as a class.
Hard to believe it's already been a year since Bob's passing. The guy almost made 100.

This music is very pleasant, I always just picture being with family or friends or just going out as a night on the town.

I can't hear these classic cues without picturing both Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy talking over them while describing prizes.
R.I.P., Johnny & Rod. :'(
Me neither 😭💔
It sounds so good, I want to cry lol
Another cue that sounds like it could be a 1970's-1980's sitcom theme song. Love it. :D
Two for the Price of One, Bump, Bob's Bargain Bar, are the games that come to mind whenever I hear this song! So good !
RIP Bob Barker

Sunny jazzy, Rhodes, flutes, oboes ?!, beachy, coolness. Please play this at my wedding or funeral.
I could imagine the announcer saying" Rice A Roni goes great with just about anything."
Eric Waxman lol
They played this music during the clock game i remember it well
Where's the repeat button, You Tube? I need to hit the repeat button, dammit!!! :-O
You can always right click and put it on 'loop'.
Right here, sir/ma’am! 🔂
Sounds lovely!
this is smoking, west coast, blunt, drinking, playing cards music...heel jyeah!!!!!
bob passed
Still alive at 98.
@@muziklvr7776Actually, he’s right.
@@danamaderas3382 Bob passed in Aug 2023, one year after my comment.
This sounds like Ticket to Ride by the Beatles.
Alicia Chea THANK YOU!!! Eight-year-old me is thrilled that somebody else heard the Beatles whenever they played this cue.
Glad I'm not the only one who thought that! :-D
Haha. Totally!
when i heard this as a kid, i knew it meant bump or clock game....
Only one time, did I hear Rye Bred & The Bean Stalker on the same game. Probably Clock Game when they played for a dishwasher & A NEW CAR!!!
Got the "Check Game" cue.
I swear it sounds like ticket to Ride by the Beatles. She's got a ticket to Rye.... She's got a ticket to rye bread
Helps me think kinda
Giving me old Disneyland Peoplemover vibes
Play over and over until your house is beautiful
wow, i am driving down the pacific coast highway in a convertible. i have a hairy chest, gold medallion, and some chick with feathery bangs
I love that song, too.
I feel like I'm out at the club, lmfao.
Some of these really remind me of the music from Waverace64 (N64, 1996).
Clock Game for sure
Was "Rye Bred" composed in 1976? A great music cue from the classic "TPiR" era!!!
R.I.P., Mark Goodson, Bill Todman, Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy. :'(
and Gene Wood (He's also a Cartoon Voiceover Actor as Well)
Gene Wood wasn't a regular announcer on "The Price is Right", only a substitute announcer, which is why I didn't include him in my "R.I.P.s".

TheRetroDudeAbides same here
Probably composed in 1976, I watched older episodes of both daytime and nighttime versions and do not hear it prior to that year.
This cue is using for área rug n clock game, sometimes using for any number game
Good.
this would be a great song in Mario Kart
Is that a theremin I'm hearing at 0:30?
My thoughts indeed :)
Clock game cue
This great cue was used mostly for the Clock Game.
Wish I could find the mix of Rye Bred they used for Clock Game on YT. It's like the versions of Second Thoughts and Starcrossed they used: Very hard to find on YT.
talladegajunkie1439 check dan barkers yt channel. Lots of rare cues there
Don't forget "2 prizes for the price of 1!"
Crazy emma, anybody?
@jd00720 Ditto!
0:18 was used on some items up for bids, but most of the time it was preceded by 0:59-1:04.
Price is Right sucks anymore. I used to watch religiously during my childhood.
The nicest thing about being home from school when we were genuinely sick. lol

@@ChihuahuaboyDH George Gray is just a Rod Roddy wannabe, especially with his lame attempt to.cooy Rod Roddy in jacket fashion
I MYSELF watched a LOT of the game shows on ALL three networks during my summer vacation when I was a child - GREAT memories!!!
