    The base game holds a special place in my heart as it is the first "real" board game I got my daughter to play, enjoy and ask for repeated play. I don't even need to coach/advise/alpha when we play. I look forward to picking up this expansion to breath some new life into the game. Thanks for sharing this play through.

      One Stop Co-op Shop my daughter now plays quite a few games. Lately we have been playing hero realms, but over the holidays we played/learned lords of water deep, lots of TtR and Zombicide black plague. It's fun when your kids start getting involved in your hobby. I wish my wife was eager to play boardgames too...

      Dave Landry that is so cool!! can i ask how old is your daughter? trying to determine when i can get them into gaming. i have a 3 yr old and a 7 month old! oh I have the same issue with my wife too, this is my passion not hers 😀

      One Stop Co-op Shop she just turned 10. The Haba line would be ideal for your older child (rhino hero and animal upon animal) and spot it.

    Thanks for the details on the expansion and showing how you play. The way you pick which characters is simple and genius. I was thinking the expansion didn't really add to the game but now I want it.

      Susan Bradley yeah the expansion provides a lot of replayability, and 8 more characters!! my favorite is the firld operative as he does not lock dice for samples!

      8 new characters? Wow! So it sounds like the expansion really breathes new life info the game if you start getting bored with the base game

    I still have the original Pandemic game that I love to play, but I always wondered how the expansions and newer ones played. Keep on gaming my friend.

    I have played all the Pandemics except this one and Iberia. I have enjoyed them all and I don't think that will change with this one. It looks very casual gamer friendly and I like the small playing area make it easy to solo even with two avatars. Fantastic thanks for the video.

    One of my favor games. Glad they added a expansion. My 2nd play we had a total of 5 people at a gaming cafe. Almost had a victory till I bombed on my last turn and set off a chain reaction that cost us the game. Loved every minute of it!

    great video! i have been wanting this game for some time and it looks even better with the expansion. my wife and i love pandemic and she adores dice rolling games so this would most likely be a huge win at our house!

    Another great run through Colin. Got Pandemic The Cure for Xmas and has instantly become one of my favourites. Reference you taking samples from the regions and not the Treatment Centre (you big cheat!), I watched the whole video and didn't see an annotation about that. I was very confused and had to google whether or not it was a special ability of one of your characters! Your other annotations do appear but nothing about that mistake. Keep up the good work!

      OH NO!!! I wonder if it got deleted, I will make a subtitle instead. Thanks for that. A fun game for sure, glad you are enjoying it!!

    You can take sample only from the treatment centre, not in the region. This is rules I am reading in my basic version.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      You are right, I think I had an annotation up about that, do you not see it? Thank you for watching!!

    Hi Colin, another Colin here! Great explanatory video. I've played the original dice version several times and found it very enjoyable both solo and multiplayer. Please clarify something for me: starting around the 25 minute mark, you began taking samples directly from the regions without treating them first. Is that a rule change in the expansion or have I been playing this incorrectly?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      Colin Borgstrom first, great to meet another Colin and spelled the right way too! apparently my brain stopped working after 25 minutes because you ate 100% right! I will make an annotation for this error. thanks for letting me know and watching along!

    Great video, I know this video is over a year old, it I did notice something that was incorrect. You cannot use the Collect Samples to pull from the regions, you can only pull from the treatment center. That is why your game flew by and you rarely ever had disease dice in the treatment center. Just wanted to make everyone aware.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  6 років тому

      Yup! There is an annotation about that sorry!!

      One Stop Co-op Shop my mistake, totally missed the annotation for that note. Ended up buying the game due to this gameplay video.

    keep this one far from the kids. the dice look delicious. This is now at the top of my wish list. curious how important the expansion is? how much fun does it add?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      Agreed!! I keep this one far away from my 7 month old. If you have never played Pandemic The Cure the expansion is not needed for a while. It becomes needed after repeated play.

    • @OneStopCoopShop

      I did, but the game fell flat after awhile, I sold this one!

  • @LucasGentry
    @LucasGentry 7 років тому +1

    Ok, so two thirds of the video has gone by and I still can't figure out something. At what point are you allowed to re-roll the character dice? Just can keep rerolling until you get what you want or you get biohazzards?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      You can keep rolling but every time you have a 1 in 6 chance to get the biohazard!!

  • @Nejsad
    @Nejsad 7 років тому +1

    Why are you bottling samples from the regions? You are supposed to take the dice from the treatment center.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      Yup there is an annotation about that! I thought I was just to cool! 😁

    I've had success teaching new players base game and purple much more easily than base game and greens. Thoughts?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  7 років тому

      So you are saying this game is easier to teach than regular Pandemic? If so, I give that 100% agreement. This game is easier to understand, but almost "more difficult" to win. The reason I think that is because so much more of the game relies on dice rolls. Also, this game only has 6 regions, Pandemic is the entire world map so there is a lot more time spent on how to move from one location to the other.

    • @davidko9289
      @davidko9289 7 років тому +1

      Movement is definitely less of an issue. The randomness of curing, I've found, is much more of a limiting factor than randomness of actions during a turn.
