Can we fix the drive of this Sony PlayStation 2, that not open.

In this episode i try to fix this PlayStation 2. The drive does not open. In the final test i have a little surprise with this console.

I got a used PS2 and it stays on the menu. But after a couple of minutes it does eventually boot the disc. Not ideal though, but I'm glad it works at least

It seems, there could be a fault of the laser-unit. The Laser-unit is a common failure. It could be faulty capacitor maybe. It’s difficult to say without testing.
