I imagine they give higher rep to the missions they want people to test. Makes sense they'd want to push Kopion missions because they're new animals, and the Halt Illegal Surveillance missions get you to use master modes more.
I am amazed. Because you could hardly see the progress in 3.22, I thought every mission would be the same. We realized a long time ago that the reputation is split into a group, so progress is even slower. I hope CIG changes this for difficult missions or generally give more reputation at higher levels.
Love the intro! I get people not liking MM but commenting (or whining) on a completely unrelated video isn't even giving feedback anymore but just straight up trolling lol Anyhow, thank you for taking your time to test all these missions!
I've been grinding the eradicate all nests missions, and the fastest way is to go in with just a cheap gun and wearing only an undersuit and helmet. Do it with a cutty red or other ship with a medbay and set you spawn to it. Run down, kill the kopion and then backspace to spawn back in the ship. Saves about 5 minutes+ for each cave at the low cost of a gun.
Shared this info and your video with my ORG mates.. Thanks so much for all your hard work, saves us a lot of time figuring all this out!! very much appreciated!
In last patch I gave up trying to grind from 4 to 5, and they fellow citizen who said it was 960 missions in total , I would say that was just doing bunkers from rep level 4 to 5 as I had done 100’s upon hundreds and gave up at 4.5 , switched to Vaughan missions which levelled to rep 5 pretty quickly 👍
If you have a medical ship (I use cutty red) - do 21k neutralize incursion mission, loot all gear. Move it to ship. Go do kopion missions. After you cleared nest. Backspace. Spawn in ship, go do next one. Saves a lot of time. Plenty of gear in ship to do many caves
I've seen reports of Jalanite (or whatever it's called) in those Kopian-mission caves, so that might be an added incentive. Regardless, I don't see that a "dog" hunt through a bunch of unmarked caves is in any way fun or a good gaming experience. I would hope something exceptionally cool happens or there's some monster payout for those 4 and 5 level missions - if it's that hard to get them then perhaps you should arrange with one of your viewers that have hit those levels to share the missions with you so you can get some useful footage on them sometime in this lifetime.
Very informative video, so much so that I'm thinking of moving over to Hurston to grind me some merc rep for a change (T4 BlacJac currently). At ArcCorp (BlacJac Security) the various drug destroying missions give a modest amount of reputation (T3/T4 1-3mm as per your measurements) but the payouts are much better, 55K/70K (+bonuses on top) for a 15-20mins run, while you get your fists down and dirty (2 clicks per drug pallet = 108aUEC x 70) + CtA reputation as NPCs (and their workers) are all unmarked (no mission related) targets.
with that same mission you could just take the eggs and sell them, no need to destroy the other drugs, 350-500K easily every run + CtA bonus. That's if you're in it to make money rather than rep of course =
Not sure if you are counting Unverified/Illegal Mercenary missions, but Vaughn rep is the fastest that I have seen - if you don’t mind taking down comm arrays or getting a crime stat. It is pretty quick and easy to get to Master Assassin especially if someone who is already at that level helps you power power up by doing the top tier missions
thats correct numbers. for lvl 6 its 1.600.000 and reputation celing is 5.200,000 . but you are lvl 4 if you reach 120k rep points. thats the point you recive lvl 4 missions. after lvl 5 you hav no more new missions . halt illegal surveillance give 2000 rep points but -2000 for failure or -1000 for abandon (all datamined)
@@Paulchen85 I'm already level 6 at Hurston. But didn't feel like 1.6mil. Couldn't get the numbers for level 6 based off missions. May I ask where you drew these ones?

Why? To motivate the tester base (Us) to do more iterative (repeating) data analytics for the devs. To use in developing the game mechanics and help with such things as balancing economy on the risk and reward for PVE game play. New material (remember salvage, or the SRV tow a hammerhead for 75k?) when introduced needs to have more repeated data. It also puts more varied ships into the mix on what is used in case there are outlier bugs that could result in data corruption or exploits (such as the duping exploit that only works at a limited number of locations) that only get found when many paths lead through the same field of corn. I was avoiding the Kopion missions as plinking at animals I do in other fully released hunting games with more diverse targets to chose from. 5k, kill 15 kopions on ground around microtech takes 1 minute to complete, can be done with ship, 0 risk, pays well. in 1 hour you can get lvl3 rep EASILY, highly recommend.
You should do a comparison between the long copion and the short copion. Go to a place called Astors Clearing on mt and accept the 5k kopion mission whilst flying a cutty with 48 s1 missiles and start blasting kopion. It takes me almost 1minute to complete the contract and i can do it in 2-3 missiles. i got to rank three so quickly doing this and it made getting to four so much easier. I also did the math for going from four to five and it takes just over 8 hours of just blasting the kopion with missiles (without rearm/refuel) to get to the next rank.
Great videos! Quick question For Bounty Hunting: I am going up levels with Crusader Industries, but do I need to do the Bounty Hunter Guild Certifications in order to get ERT contracts or will leveling up only with Crusader give me ERT contracts? I'm on tracker level with Crusader. Thanks
I have like 30% reputation with Blackjack but I don't have any mission like 'clear out drugs' which can apparently be very good for earning money by selling them instead of detroying them. Do you have any idea of the percentage needed to get them ? And also, I don't understand what you call level 1, 2 3, etc. To which percentage does it correspond ?
Until very recently all missions would just give you the same reputation gain. I'm wondering how the affiliation bar you measured is related to your mercenary status. You may have 100% affiliation, but still be only at level 3. I think the affiliation can also drop over time if you start doing other game loops, like someone else commented, but your mercenary level will remain the same
Isn’t this the usual CIG way of implementing new “elements” into the game? Boost anything new (rep/credit) and nerf all the “old” stuff … just to make sure new elements gets tested (I presume). Same thing happened with, trading, mining, salvaging …
So to find the Illegal Surveillance probe Missions fast, does it matter if your ship has a Size 2 Radar for scanning? Like a cutty scout or other larger radars?
Yep, if you grind out all these missions, and then decide to get some cargo rep, your merc reputation will being to fall which absolutely completely sucks
What I dont understand is that everyone is talking about HRT and ERT bounties makes a lot of money. Am I doing something wrong?
Nevermind I think i figured it out. I was under the impression i had to stick with one faction. "Crusader security" in my case. Now I think I have to switch to the bounty hunters guild mission for the actual certification
So how's this for a mission. You must; - find certain animals - stun them (devs need to develop a stun gun) - tractor beam them onto your cargo deck , one at a time or all at once - deliver said animals to a new biome/ sanctuary, same or different planet - tractor them off your deck and onto the ground . - delivery is timed based on when the stun wears off .
They made it so grindy very few even want to do the missions anymore taking into account we can be wiped at any time. The grind is what I expect for full release not in an Alpha that is still testing....

This is all because the missions are carried out by very stupid and useless individuals for society. they have no purpose to do or invent. something interesting in terms of gaming activity. That’s why ALL contracts are the same type and very boring. their task is to sell you virtual ships for real money. and so that you have something to do, they come up with boring and tedious missions for you. BUT...nothing behind pumping up your reputation. there is nothing interesting. You don’t have progression, you won’t have interesting contracts to increase your reputation. THEY DON’T NEED THIS..
