If more people would be like Hugh, the world would be a better place.

Hugh seems like a pretty good guy. I saw The Stranglers in 1979 or 1980 and they opened with The Raven. I remember Hugh talking onstage about the death of Billy Fury.

Hes written so many good songs, the Stranglers are one of my all time favorite bands, but he still hasnt really gotten the credit for it, there's already a good documentary on the band, but i think a Stranglers movie is in order, obviously not a hollywood blockbuster, but more of a Film4 movie.

Weller has at least played with Foxton since...Cornwell has a chip on his shoulder about Burnel. Must be more to it ? Two singers on stage? Cornwell states in one of his books that he liked the idea of two singers in the band, Greenfield also sings a few numbers, so at their peak they had three vocalists!

One band that definitely won't be reforming that were around in the 70's are...The Stranglers.and why ? A: Because they NEVER disbanded unlike,say-The Jam !! Cornwell was a member once-big deal,so what ! they've had 2 lead singers since he left and changes in line-up but he seems to think that he's the be-all and end-all of "The Stranglers" and he simply isn't and what's more he wouldn't get a gig with them these days as he isn't as gifted or musical as their current vox/axeman Baz...END OF !!

Great interview of a good guy. He said exactly that, they wouldn't reform because they never disbanded. Didn't sound at all bitter, just an intelligent human being.

Bollocks. They are my favourite band ever from that period but I never watch them since Hugh left. His voice WAS the Stranglers. Bak just isnt the same....nowhere near..
