"I believe life has a happy ending" I always get sad when he sings this, because his voice is still so young innocent and it makes me think of one of the later songs they did, "Himlen är oskyldigt blå (Blue Virgin Isles in English, yes this was actually written in English I believe, although it didn't become a hit abroad I think, only the Swedish version did when it came out in the nineties)". In the Swedish version he sings the sky looks blue and innocent but so does also the deepest of the seas (It seems they replaced this particular part with something else though). Even though his brother wrote the lyrics I think they are eerily foreboading of his fate and maybe sometimes the people around us see more clearly than us how we actually feel. Edit: Oh it seems only the Swedish version is from the nineties, and the English is from the seventies, but I believe it felt appropriate to rerelease during the nineties with all that happened, and you can also hear on his voice he is clearly haunted in that version, I believe in the documentary I saw he was actually psychotic during parts of the filming of the video for that one, and Ted still managed to do this song, because he really loved making music so he really struggled to make it happen.
Where ever you are ,Ted, you're greatly missed. 💚✌
So happy you reacted to my favourite, Ted Gärdetsad. Thank you so much! Please watch out more of his songs, they are so great! ❤
